Even now, reasonably prime units command lofty prices…. And once I get the to$h, I’m getting one. I still love cassettes. And I still love standard MD.🌹

I used the Tascam 122B for many years and I still think it was one of the best cassette machines I've ever worked with. Negative note only for the evident wear and tear that the transport mechanism presented - for those who worked like me on these machines all the production of advertising and audio montages for radio stations - which made it not very profitable to bet on this Tascam line. However, electronically, I don't remember seeing one of them fail at all. The problem has always been mechanical wear.
Great machines! For me, I keep the 122Bs in my memory as good co-workers.
