They also did things like crosspath banana farm for the sake of boosting the Heroes faster than what was normally possible. People have gotten to Round 100 with only Adora pops legitimately but it's a lot more intensive (and besides, the method is to save up enough cash and do all the steps between a round so VTSG/etc get no pops).
Also a 2122 sun god temple is better than a 2221 sun god temple meaning for the first secrifice for the sun god temple, sacrifice 50 000 dollars worth of primary, magic and support towers. For the second sacrifice, sacrifice 50 000 dollars worth of primary, military, magic and support towers. Keep in mind that the towers in the range of the sun god will be cheaper (which is one of the effects of the support sacrifice) so you will need 50 000 dollars of the towers after the discount.
