thin line between confidence & arrogance, to say "i dont care" abt a competitor, is rather arrogant, so unbecoming of a wimbledon level player. respect can take u a long way, girlie, hope u learn that sooner than later.

Kiki Bertens will beat her. I love her honesty but a bit unwise to refer to the US Open Semifinal as an evidence of why she will beat Serena. Like be more subtle...
17sunnyhour Even there are some people with pride but have enough social intelligence to construct their words. And I am actually a fan of hers (though I like Serena way more) but she is just reaching with her words.
Nahh this girl has been really good since her Junior days - she's confident and she's beaten everybody in the tour - her only flaw so far is not being able to win a grand slam - her game and not the media has taken where she is - the media doesn't lay games - Kurnikova, Bouchard, Hantuchova, among others, have been very popular without being great players - Pliskova on the other hand is a top contender in pretty much every tournament she enters and that is not coincidence!!
She's so blunt lol Also I think she just mentioned that to explain why she wasn't worried. More like a "I know I can beat her so". I think it was fine.
olusola israel the way these top seeded getting bet any body could win and Serena on their mind but that have to act like she's not.
+17sunnyhour - Positive. If she were being boastful she wouldn't have moved on from the question so quickly. And it is exactly the right kind of mindset to have: she beat her once, she could do it again.
It's nice that this year we get to see new-ish women players who are focused, serious about tennis and not spending them time talking about themselves and their body and their money and bitching about other tennis players (Sharapova!? Bouchard?! Alice Cornet?!) ... More integrity in this players best of luck!
