Although the video is a year or so old, found the Mini 2 Fly More Combo on good Prime Day discount and couldn't resist. Going back through your videos on the 2. Always appreciate your approach to sharing and educating on the hobby and aircraft. Thanks!
I use a night light for safety flying that weights 10gram which still puts me under the 250grams , also you can add landing gear accessory , I don’t use it much at night and night light a Velcro stuck so easy to remove , but I’d recommend the landing gear it protects your gimbal and under carriage of your drone as you noticed landing on any kind of uneven surface could scratch up both gimbal and bottom
If you use the old batteries the drone simply responds slower. If you are doing cinematic shots it honestly might be a benefit but you totally notice the difference in sports mode or when trying to stop suddenly.
That share option is great. I can’t believe it’s not really mentioned or showcased anywhere. It’s funny because just last night I happen to notice that the light clicks like a button but I didn’t think anything else of it. Now I know it is a button!
Thank's for the video 👍Wery usefull, many features i did not know..BTW,where i live (Finland) it doesn't matter if the weight is over 250g..Here we have different(stupid) rules,if the drone have a camera, you allways have to register. Can't see why?
There is a difference between the batteries, the mini 2 batteries have a higher voltage because it has stronger motors. Maybe it cant fly as fast with the old ones as with the newer ones
Hey a couple questions.. I see your using a coke can as a launch pad? What’s the deal with that.? Are you using it for landing as well? Also what are you using to attach a insta360?
The quick transfer is cool but I am never in so much of a rush that I would decide to lose quality so I don’t wait to get it on my devices. It’s definitely good though.
It's supposed to download the full resolution file, though it isn't really quicker than popping out the and using a card reader. Just saves handling on the micro SD card.
THX for pointing out that it weighs 137g cause dont see any vids on that ,also important on some accessories will still make it under 250 g not the prop guards or battery , but i have ND filters ,leg extenders, gimbal dome protector and im hoping it will make it under the 250g, will see im buying the mini 2 today, have the M M already and very happy with it
I heard that the Mavic Mini and DJI Mini 2 have "exactly" the same camera but the software app cripples the Mavic Mini to prevent 4K. If you shoot in 4:3 ratio you will get the full pixel count and then you can stretch to 16:9 proportions in post to get 4K quality with the Mavic Mini. I will do tests (with GoPro Studio) and let you know.
I just got my mavic mini 3 days ago updated everything's and I'm stuck at 1080p I cannot access the settings icon to change the resolution of neither the camera or video, I can take pictures and videos but I cannot change any settings or use any features like "dronie , and circle modes and I was thinking its not allowing me to use it because I bought the old mini and mavic wants me to get the mini 2 to fix the problem

May upgrade to another DJI model with higher-end feature like obstacle avoidance and better cameras in the future - but this drone is a GREAT place to start - especially since it keeps you under the weight limit and hassle of having to register or other red tape (for now).
This makes me wonder if I can put a Mavic Mini 2 battery in a Mavic Mini 1. Now I did hear you - round peg / square hole. But if it's just a mechanical problem and if the I2C protocol is still the same.... mechanical problems can be overcome. That would be great to have less weight on the Mavic Mini 1!
Does a filter increase the image quality to a point that editing stock footage can't compare with? That doesn't seem logical to mee and also doesn't it make the drone weigh heavier then the europe limit for small drones?
The camera on these small drones has a fixed aperture meaning in extremely bright conditions the shutter speed has to be way higher than optimal for smooth and clean video. Adding an Neutral Density Filter is like putting sunglasses on your camera it allows the camera to use a slower shutter and get better results for video. Should the shutter speed not be maxed out the effect on photos would be pretty much useless however if the photos are overexposing because they have reached the max shutterspeed then an ND filter would also be useful for photos.
Great tips! Is there any cons that comes with turning those settings in the app on, or any reason that it was off as default? If the gimbal upward rotation mode, for example, makes it harder to control or more fragile or something?
1:06 hey, didn't know they finally added the option to turn off phone charging, it was always mandatory, which I disliked. If my phone is already close to full, forced charging to 100 percent isn't good for the phone battery health. If they were able to implement an intelligent setup like auto charging if the phone battery level charge dropped below a designated level you pick like 50%, that would be the ideal.
You have probably seen it mentioned before. DJI Mini 2 is 136g giving you about 13-14g allowance to play with. I don’t know what those other batteries weigh though.

Maybe due to the rules changing in the UK to do with take off mass V flying weight. Anything close to 249g limit would technically be over the limit in 2023 as I understand it. 237g might mean they don't have to re-design it.
I'm really upset about changing the settings on the Mini 2. I went ahead and changed the settings to slow the drone down and slow the gimbal also. Thank you so much for all your videos. They are very helpful. I own a Mini 2 and everything works great except one thing. I wonder if you have run into anything similar? Photos work well both cached to the phone and on the 128Gig Extreme Sandisk card I have on board the mini 2. However, videos are slightly wonky. Wonky only in the fact that both on the cached video on the phone and on the card, any videos run in 4k 30 fps (the format I want to shoot videos - I will try other formats when the weather next permits) that are longer than 5 min 25 sec (approx 4 gigs) are stored on the card as a standalone 5 min 25 sec video, then automatically starts another video and is continued as the next video on the memory card and phone. What's with that? This despite the fact that when recording the video it shows it is continuous recording on my phone attached to the RC - yet on the card it breaks it into separate videos. Its driving me crazy. Not that it matters for storage on the memory card but I have the cache storage for the phone set to 16 gigs so it has nothing to do with that. Other than that my Mini 2 is great. Sorry that this doesn't relate to your posted video but I was wondering if you have ever run into this or have any thoughts. Thks Bruce

Yes. The filters add a tiny bit of weight.
Do you think I should wait on the DJI 3 or just get myself the DJI 2 fly more combo
No idea when the 3 is coming.
Question. Does the 250 gram limit include any add-ons such as filters or prop guards, or is it just the basic drone weight? Put another way, if the Law shows up and weighs the drone I just landed will these add-ons constitute a violation since it's not registered and possibly overweight?
Yes. If you add weight and it’s over that’s on you. But they don’t show up and weight anything
@@HalfChrome well it was just a hypothetical however remote. thanks
You turn off payload mode because they don't think you can add weights to it and get it back.
Videos and pictures are sent automatically to your phone now. And phone charging was already set to on when I bought it.
I need advice. Can you please help me? I want the dji mini 2, but there are remours that the 3 will be available in a few months. Should I wait for the 3?
No
Thank you so much 😊 for your mini 2 video it helped me out a lot Awesomeness, I have a question.... what is the app your using to display the DJI fly app while your talking? Hope your Christmas was nice 👍 Have a Happy 😊 New Year (“ PeaceLove&GodBless
I just screen recorded my phone.
What phone are you using?
Thanx for video. A few questions regarding flying the MM2. DJI put out phone comparable with the drone but people are experiencing big issues with the Samsung S21
Not sure really which phone to buy for my MM2. Also can the drone be flown without a phone and app? Thanks dude keep posting Ade
You can fly it without a phone but you’ll need one to set it up. I would recommend an iPhone
Nice information
250grams. Is that a limit before you register the drone? Down under in New Zealand I don’t think we have any regulations with drones, but I’ll check
Cheers
Definitely do your research
