Me too. Add a lil glass of wine, or two to the mix and i find myself in quite the mood to write.
I'm a little old-fashioned, so when I write ghost stories to this type of music, my process is usually:

My favorite was the Native American piece. That song should have been played when Custer faced the Sioux and Blackfoot and yes I know music like this didn't exist then but still...Would have been fitting for that arrogant jerk. Custer was no hero, he violated orders, failed to wait for reinforcements from Major Reno and got what he deserved.
I feel like I’m in the one scene in Pirates of the Caribbean when Jack Sparrow goes down with the black pearl.
The original Pirates trilogy was amazing. I don't know why they needed to ruin it with the sequels, and had the audacity to exclude William and Elizabeth.

I close my eyes to try and sleep to this.... 1st thing that pops in my head, is a young woman running down a hillside by a woods being chased by a large red 4 legged beast that's crashing through trees like tearing paper ... While on the other side of the open field. A knight in a beat up suit of black armor is riding towards the beast on a large grey spotted horse...so much for sleeping.

My personal favourite is definitely the underrated gem “Natives” I love the quieter beginning with it building up overtime, mixed with modern instruments, violin and the traditional flute.

I play the violin, and it would be absolutely amazing to play these songs in an orchestra. They're made with such intensity and emotion that it would be a blast to play, great job and keep it up :D

@Dylan Quigley Ehehehe it's a bit all over the place, actually. There's power metal, chiptune music, some western songs, then folk music like marching songs and sea shanties. There's also a coupla categories that I haven't figured out the genre for, favourite of which is "fast piano" tunes where a simple piano manages to be pretty epic on its own. You?
