So let's say I reset it a few days after the oil change. Shouldn't it be at ninety something. How does the system know what percent the oil life is at? Perhaps by mileage?
I am not sure how it knows, what I have read is that it is an algorithm that uses time, mileage and driving habits to calculate. When you reset it, it goes to 100%, even if you didn't really even change the oil.
no. after you change your oil then you reset it right away and it will be at 100 percent. if you change it later you can only put it at 100 percent so it will not know if you are at 90 or what percent but it will be able to reshow you that the oil needs rechanging. so next time just change it at the right time. best I can figure.
MrRedEye Please do, when I turn on my car I do not get the screen, only thing that appears is: “to start engine brake + push” the select knob does nothing to bring up any other menus or screens. Help!
That's the tripometer at 2,999 miles! My car is 14 months old and have about 15,000 miles and my oil change indicator just came on for the second time, so I guess the average is about 7,000 the way I drive. You should be able the push the toggle button by odometer until your oil life percentage comes up, "wrench" light comes on at 15%.
Oh ok I thought I was seeing things LOL. When i purshased the car I was told the oil had been changed and the indicator light would come on when it was time for a oil change. I normally don't go over 4,000 miles between oil changes, what should I look for?
It will ding and the little light shaped like a wrench will come on. (at 17 seconds into video you will see it) If you toggle the switch it will go out, but each time you restart the car it comes back on. As I said you can toggle through and see what percentage your oil life is at any time. You could change it earlier, but I think anything more than 20% life would be a waste.
No music no extra bull just straight forward. 😍 thank you.
Thank you very much. Simple, to the point and much needed for tomorrow's oil change.

That worked on my 2007 Honda Fit 2007.
Hi at what % do u suggest to change the oil ?
My manual says at 15%, But I assume each vehicle may have a different %, safest thing to do is check the manual for your vehicle.
Thanks man it worked in my 2013 Accord exl v6
Thanks again.
Thank you sooooo much 💕💕💕
Thank you!

So after changing the viscosity of the indicator to 10% right? So we need to reset 100% after changing the correct one?
Not exactly sure what you are asking, After you do an oil change, Then you reset the indicator to 100%
how can I reset it?
and what is kind of the oil you can on your car?
follow the instructions in the video to reset, I use Mobil synthetic on mine.
0-20 right same on the cap of engine?
I see it 10% and I think it low oil that why I fill up 1 gallon small
Its that so kay?
Thank you sir
Thanks bro 😎
Friend of mine paid a dealership to do this for him.
FlimsTV yeah those guys will rip you off.
Dealerships are supposed to. I work at a dealership and we are forced too
its way easier to do this with the touch screen. when my next oil change is due I'll post a video of it.
MrRedEye Please do, when I turn on my car I do not get the screen, only thing that appears is: “to start engine brake + push” the select knob does nothing to bring up any other menus or screens. Help!
So I dont need to refill engeni oil?
again this is the procedure to reset the indicator to 100% after you change the oil according to manufacturers recommendation
I tried but it didnt blink whats a problem plz any1 tell
Did you happen to find out I’m having the same problem
Thanks bro
No problem
I don't get that from the life of oil
23,000 miles on a 2016 is a lot.. I just bought a 2014 with 23,000 miles on it. Now it has 27,000 on it and I haven't seen a oil light indicator yet..
