Camp Fire: Paradise cleanup efforts extend evacuation zone orders

Cal Fire officials explain why debris, and downed power lines still being cleared among other hazards created in the aftermath of the Camp fire, California's deadliest blaze ever, are causing deadline extensions for lifting evacuation zone orders near Pentz Road in particular.

Many TV channels, probably this one, said people are returning, roads open to owners, be patient, escort will be provided. We looked on the computer and roads showed open. So two weeks ago we gathered up proof of home ownership of our provably undamaged home and drove some 6 hours to be told we would not be allowed in. Not one person spoken to had any ID nor was the Humvee marked. They are armed. A sign reads We Shoot Looters and have a back hoe. After 3 tries, the humvee person said he was national guard. But he said no more. So we spoke to CHP on the road. He said get permission from the sheriff and we will escort you. This resulted in our introduction to The Department of Redundancy Department. None of this is legal. Not one person we spoke with could give any cite law, legislation, person of authority authorizing the take over of a city and depriving people of access to their private property. We repeatedly asked Where is The Authority, the paperwork, anything, giving external bureaucracy and military authority over this people’s property. This is not an unreasonable irrational question. It is still true now, we are deprived access to our property without any authority produced to do so. Twice the sheriff department hung up on us when we asked a couple of questions over this issue. We own the home. It was for sale then and now. We spent over $140000 last year on water damage. But none of this matters to the nameless faceless bureaucrats who deprive us of even simple access to our home too check for water damage caused by clogged roof drains, these are an issue to our sunroom which was damaged. One chp idiot said to us, while depriving us access to our property, Be Glad you have a home..... is that a threat. ?Another threat?. My questions are valid and should be answered.

@@ChowFun1979 Yes and if you go to Paradise Fire Aftermath Documentation (me) you can see me interact with The Law when he benevolently places his hands on me while denying me access to my property. ANd then he claims he was Consoling Me. Gets a little testy
