    I got Epilepsy from MS 1 year after my MS Diagnosis. I get grand mal seizures I used to not have an Ora before it would happen but after 19 years I can tell but after being put Zonisamide 100mg I haven't had any seizures for over 17 years. I would have a seizures up to 2 times a week. All of the Firefighters in Ambulance people would say hi to me when I was out and about but I wouldn't think I don't know them but then I would say I had so many seizures that everyone single people on the Force would have been there to help me but like I was not home upstairs Except one time when I woke up looked around and went right back to another seizure. I would never know what happened until I woke up in the hospital and then I would think again. But after I put on Zonisamide I haven't had any seizures please ask your Neurologist to see if it would help you

    I have had 2 seizure one while being exorcising in hot weather and I passed out with a seizure. Doc told me it was a syncope but that I reacted with a seizure like activity l. They haven’t found any thing on mri or EEg. Second one same hot and very humid weather I was having lunch outside - I remember I was sweating and feeling hot I passed out. I saw the restaurant video I had a clonic seizure line first time while running. I bited my tongue both time and they were like 4 months apart. I don’t have any auras but but first seizure memory was lost not able to remember what I was doing like 30 minutes prior tje seizures. In emergency room all the time all tests again came back negative. I did has a little bit of arrhythmia last time. The cardiologist sent me to do a tilt test came and it back positive they diagnosed me with vasovalgal syndrome, but I’m still concern my syncope are hard and strong to me looks like a combination of syncope and PNES because it has been always during stress and anxiety related to decision making

    Its interesting you mentioned drug withdrawal and a bump on the head bringing about a seizure as provoked seizure...but are insinuating that abundance of emotional stress bringing about a seizure is not a provoked seizure.

    If a patient has a provoked seizure such as taking a medication that may cause a seizure or missing a seizure medication and it causes a seizure, then has a seizure. Has an eeg that show an abnormality that gives a patient a diagnosis of epilepsy because this is their 1st seizure. A repeat study is given 2months later when patient is on proper medication and eeg is normal do you assume patient did not have epilepsy to begin with? Or does an abnormal eeg always override the negative eeg?

    • @DrOmarDanoun

      Probably you mean heterotropia which is a condition when cells of the brain do not align correctly leading to seizures

    • @pastorrandy
      @pastorrandy Год назад

      Yes, my son has that. He is on several medications that delay the seizures. One of his neurologists found the place in his brain that is constantly firing off electrical charges. It is too close to the speech center for surgery. He is 43 and the seizures started when he was 17.
      He also has episodes where he loses all muscle control and falls like a sack of potatoes. He doesn't totally lose consciousness but he is dazed and unaware of his surroundings for a few minutes.
      My wife and I are in our mid 60s and worried about what will happen to him when we're gone. I fear for him living under a bridge somewhere since he can't work. His medications are so expensive he is afraid to get off SSI for fear he won't be able to buy his medicine.
      We aren't sure what to do.
