Jus love that raw sound of that whining sound of the EMD SD70ACe from former CN that’s painted in the iconic Grand Trunk & Western Railroad paint scheme.
About a month ago, I saw Canadian National 8952 sitting at BNSF Murray Yard. I was on the highway and it was dark out. I got it on camera for a split second.
Darryl, I definitely like the GT possibly because the rest of the HU's are not EMDs...hehe no the truth is I like the EJ&E orange one best, possibly because I had best luck catching it many times on great days, as of today I still haven't seen the BCRAIL heritage unit otherwise that may be my first fav! Thanks for the comment Darryl.
Hi Tyson; Absolutely great job on this one !! Today we learned that CN actually places horn covers on some locos - a small factoid that had completely escaped us until now. lol. And your tracking of the orange EJ&E loco was awesome. You achieved such steady camera work that it was like 3032 might have been standing still and posing for you. This is the first that we have seen the 'J'. Just great stuff !! Question: Upon checking for it I was not able to determine precisely the significance of the small graphic on both sides ahead of and below the cab windows. Any idea ?? James.
CN 3115 is in Manitoba leading a stack CN Q119W. Hopefully I can get out for that one now in 2022! since I missed it each time it came down to the coast. Thanks for watching.

@@TracksideTyson Yes
Says CN IPO25
@@TracksideTyson But what is IPO25 ??
OOhh , the stock market acronym. I get it. Thanks
GT stands for goop from tar sands (in this case), I would liked to have seen a PGE heritage unit instead of the BC RAIL socred edition paint scheme
Haha well hey better then “no heritage units at all”. Thanks for the input.
Great video. What kind of camera do you use?
Dang I didn’t know CN had this many HUs! How many in total? Ns has like 20 right?
CN has the 3023 EJ&E, 3008 Illinois Central, 3115 BCRail, 8952 Grand Trunk, 3069 Wisconsin Central, and CN 8898 painted as CN. Thanks for watching!
Wow! Awesome and their 100 units. You’re welcome!
@@thelincolnrailfan They have lots of 100 units but aren’t considered heritage units.
