Off-topic and not that it matters but.. during the title screen of the game.. the Stars in the background move slowly to the left as the train moves right.. while the planet stands still arent they supposed to move right? Being extremely distant objects compared to the planet? Or is this a china thing? That the universe works opposite in china than that of the rest of our planet.

Wrong the peak of this story is the dialogue about returning to trash
During Cocolia's bossfight, you were able to use the mech... because it was designed to serve preservation. And now, you can walk the path of the Aeon of Preservation.
Initially, Cocolia held on to that lance you picked up in the space between worlds and the mech obeyed her. When she embraced the Stellaron, and went against everything, the Engine of Creation was left with no orders to follow. Then you picked the lance, activated it, and you told it to smash the enemy of preservation.. and it did just that.
Wait, that lance was the thing Cocolia was holding? Wow, I didnt even notice, THATS AWESOME!!

That Lance was the one that impaled you but It had been frozen over since she had abandoned the path of preservation you reawakened it when you came into contact with it and connected with qlipoth vowing to walk the path and making the weapon your own in its true form again
Its so satisfying having that robot give Cocolia the meanest right hook and have the whole battlefield shake from it.
Damn that makes so much sense!

I hope Honkai continues making these single arc stories. The idea that you're going planet hopping introduces the idea of shorter arcs, but they are far better paced and I am all for it.
@@LM-nb7rj Yeah but remember this is content at launch which can be experienced cohesively. I hope later updates won't deliver new content slice by slice like in Genshin - I keep forgetting previous plots.
One of the really cool details about the battle and the Fire Trailblazer is that the weapon they use is the same weapon that Cocolia stabs them with. That's the weapon of the guardians and the power of Preservation. Only the light of hope has been ignited and it turns from an Ice lance to a fire one. Notice how to lights up briefly before the Trailblazer commands the Engine of Creation to smash Cocolia instead. I think it would have been cool if they had part of the cutscene be the Trailblazer pulling the weapon out of themselves as they fall haha.
It being a lance also instantly reminded me of Durandal and Abyss Flower (as well as Durandal preserving an entire world inside her body which is an interesting tie-in). There's also Cecilia who used abyss flower to heal Siegfried before going into battle against Sirin.

Man this is what I love about turn based RPGs, you get to savor and fully immerse yoruself into the fight, the music and the dialogue, because when you're too distracted trying to stay alive you can't pay much attention to the story unfolding in front of you. Now that I think about it this is the only way they can go about star rail, and they did it well. So excited for honkai star rail future content.

If this is what we can expect from boss fights in the future then this game is going to be just fine.

i like how the game focuses on the world story, its like what genshin was meant to be except they dont stray into long stories about the characters
There's still stories about the characters and voiced ones but those are side missions not the main story which is better that way
@@symphonixblades hsr does better with the companion story than genshin where you spend 1 hour or more going to places and talking to dozens of whatever npcs that we dont care about for the character story quest
@@klym8_ True. I'm AR 57 in Genshin and it's quite ANNOYING when you only talk to NPCs who ask you to do favors as they were useless lmao. And then is Paimon repeating us what we're supposed to do uncountless times.

Natasha misses her family. Bronya and seele are lesbians that live happily ever after. AND I ENJOY THAT (nobody wants to read through paragraphs to understand a characters motives and story.) If only you could like read out a sentance so people knew in what way you ment it, instead of assuming I ment I don't like hsr character story.
One of the reason why i enjoy hsr is because there is no paimon repeating everyword dialogue of every characters in the game.
And also the mc here is funny and have sarcastic answers
HSR devs write sarcasm in a clever and actually funny way, sometimes even making fun of the game itself, whereas in Genshin you just want to unalive yourself from cringe whenever someone tries to induce laughter. It's 2023 and they still didn't let go of the emergency food joke oh my god, this joke been more run through than their mothers 💀

After the fight when the game asks you whether you should reveal the truth or not, my initial reaction was to reveal the truth. I totally didn't expect Seele would be the one against the idea, knowing that her people suffered the most from the deception. It just shows how Bronya and Seele need and guide each other. The best duo ever.

This boss fight hit DIFFERENT. Idk something about the music, the voice acting, the sudden new changes in the MC, it all came together so beautifully. Even the fine detail of the delayed 'breaking' scene done before the final fight.... glorious stuff.

That girl is the spirit of one of the guardians who was tricked as a child by a politician and put into the guardian position and used as a Poulet leader. Cuz of that the people hated her and knocked her out, shoved her in a chest and kicked it off a cliff. So technically she’s part of the Guardians’ Will

I know right. I haven't watched Tectone for a little over a year, and him playing HSR is refreshing. Watched him since the launch of Genshin.
And the bosses are so cool, and hard I have so much hope for this game in the future now, and im glad that this game is hard and not anti-climatic like other games I know, the music the music, it gave me goosebumps.

It's incredible how turn-based games can manage to capture some of the most epic moments in gaming. I'll never get over it.

When I fought this boss, I ended up with only the MC surviving and defeating her. It was such an memorable fight, together with that conclusion.

Holy fuck this game is so damn good. Even just running around killing mobs looking for random secret quests is great!
You don't need some specific 5* to be good. All the free characters can be great. And the amount of strategy and different team builds is insane. I'm blown away.
for real, Sampo is the goat. I have Seele and she's freaking great at dishing big dick dmg to bosses and such but my Sampo legit does an absurd amount of dmg with his wind dot and it is so easy for him to apply that it is kinda disgusting. Also, MC is actually really good, physical MC is very useful at the beginning and fire MC is busted as fuck.

It's crazy what the turn based camera perspective lets them get away with. This felt like a 3D revision of the Ivan bossfight in FGO and it works so much better. Also really in love with the MC being really strong instead of milquetoast dogshit like in Genshin. Helps so much with the playability of the early game content

The running along the giant mech arm sequence is honestly chillingly good, it reminds me of the Nevermore fight in RWBY. It shows how good MiHoYo has become, being able to create cutscenes with such quality.

She was in situation where she is in despair,pressure for her humanity's well being,frustrated by cocolia insane choice etc.she was literally numb at that moment.

For real, fire MC has been a mainstay on my team ever since I unlocked it.
It’s always fun to see the fresh perspectives of people who’ve played only Genshin and not a Honkai game before in the sense of even though the universe is different the story for certain characters has been quite similar at this point. I just hope that we see more of them show up especially Kiana since most Genshin players only know her as that girl who looks like the Goddess who separated the twins at the beginning of the game.

I've been thinking about Cocolia's last moments as I watch this, and I think what Bronya told her people might not necessarily be a complete lie. It seems to me that the stelleron promised a new future through the destruction of everything of the past, which probably meant a new future without anyone left. Cocolia's last words shows that she understood the consequences of losing control of the stelleron, and instead of letting it "engulf everything" she created a barrier around herself to protect everything and everyone around her from the ensuing destruction the stelleron unleashed. Either that or the barrier was made by Welt and Himeko, and once Cocolia realized her daughter and everyone and everything around her was safe, she was able to smile. Either way, she tried to stop the stelleron at her last moments, tried to keep it under control.
I just came back to rewatch and I say, what if all of hsr so far is just a dream from when we fell asleep in the closet scene
At this point we have to acknowledge that if teccy says “she’s hot”, she’s going to be decimated into ashes.

For those late to this and confused like he and chat were. The God of Preservation *WASNT* the child, that was the manifestation of previous guardians; Cocolia's predecessors. The God was the flash you saw after removing the MC's new weapon.
The music timing is 10/10. I was pumped af when it played the lyrics.
This is what 100% sold me on Star Rail. Just such a great fight.

I almost got completely annihilated on my 2nd try though, only my mc managed to surrvive and with her I've beated the boss.

Welcome to the Honkai Universe my good friend. Leave your happiness at the door, and be ready to embrace what is probably one of the most depressing, moving, and generally awe-inspiring story. Cocolia could come back as a playable unit since Star Rail goes into expanding the multiverse.
Wouldn't be the same Cocolia, but it's possible. I mean there are 2 versions of Bronya currently in the Star Rail universe, with another known one who could show up at any point(Haxxor Bunny if anyone played Honkai Impact). So don't lose hope. There will also be the potential for returning HI3 characters that you also may enjoy like Hua, Void Archives, and my personal favorite, Kevin.
Glad you and everyone else is enjoying Honkai Star Rail. Makes me happy seeing Hoyo's actual good work getting the praise it deserves. The Honkai story as a whole has always been a roller coaster, so don't think for a second this is the end of the hype train.
It's just getting started~
Don't forget, Kiana could always show up as the Herrscher of Finality. Which would be an awesome boss fight and an interesting homecoming for Welt.

This story ark was really cool. Not as cool as the honkai impact story, but it was only the first ark. Also Cocolia is alive in honkai impact, but I wish she was dead for another person there being alive.

This fight blew my mind when I 1st experienced it. I wouldn’t say it’s the best fight I ever seen but it definitely took me by surprise

Lost my 50/50 but im guarenteed Jing on the next banner. Im at 25 summons as of now. Got Clara and Welt as my 5 stars. Welt is Amazing btw. Fav Char.
I got Himeko for 50/50 loss. Then I just spammed the simulation index for gems and got enough over time for Seele. Though from what I hear Jing might be the better choice anyway.

I literally just finished this this story is amazing and literally gave me chills that made me nips hard was a weird experience but that aside the game is great and the Mc is one of the best mcs I've experience in any game her animations for her 2nd form and also her voicelines you get to pick are hilarious

honkai star rail so far is just amazing on every level, lots of QoL, great story, has endgame, no paimon, seems to be more f2p friendly with farmable 4* and 5* weapons, balance of the game seems reasonable as well
