Gus distracted all of the DEA and hospital staff with food from "Los Pollos Hermanos" so Mike could go in and give the surviving Salamanca brother a deadly dose of something!!
I think he just shot a syringe of air into the guy's iv. It would cause an air embolism and he would die almost instantly
I personally think he pushed air into his vein. Not really anything you can do for an air embolism and it's undetectable

Gus one of the scariest but coolest characters ever
Designz R Us he was my favorite from day one. Ever since his first meeting with Walt, I knew he was a badass.
Gus is a psychopath. He is calm, collected. He is perfect.

Gus Fring is one of my top 3 favorite characters of any crime/mafia/gangster movie or show. He's a scary, calculated savage.
@Drake Lang Agree. In some ways, I think his character is what made this show so awesome. He plays a part in so much. Sometimes that's all it takes; it's like, what would Usual Suspects be without Kaiser Soze?
@@ghenry4513 For me, Jesse is the reason why BB is my favorite series of all time, particularly the way that him and Walt influence each other over the course of the show. Jesse is so relatable and realistic it's almost scary.

Jesse likes kids so much because he identify himself with them. This episode proves it, he's a big kid and he has a good heart.

I guess I just view him as someone who was in a place of work... not the time to be screwing around especially while in a meth lab. I am super serious when I am at work and fun time is ment for after work. that's just me though.

Hank was justified in beating Jesse's ass. He invaded his private life and lied about his wife being in an accident. That's beyond disrespectful.. but you probably wouldn't know that.
Even still, Jesse's behavior around this part of the series is CHILDISH. Compare him to characters like Walt, and Gus.. It doesn't matter if they see their enemy die.. They will still take their dangerous lifestyle seriously. Which Jesse eventually learns later on in the series, so your point is kind of pointless.

I get Jesse’s boredom so hard. I have always thought he has ADHD (as I do) and he should be on adderall or something, but he likes meth partly because it’s self-medicating. But like...that’s exactly me on a long car trip!

It took me forever to realize just how valuable Walt is. He makes the best, most sought after meth in the world which means if he’s manufacturing for you, you don’t have to worry about importing and smuggling. Yeah, Gus ain’t about to let that go

I'm catching up on breaking bad content and I love this episode. The look when people realize and really understand what kind of stuff gus is capable of. He's terrifying and an awesome character. Love it
I'm so glad that I can finally talk about how funny it was how worried you guys were for Gus! Holy hell, I like you guys both so much, that I am second guessing everything I comment just so that I don't accidentally spoil anything. Its a really interesting experience watching other people react to the Breaking Bad episodes for the first time, especially when you have the hindsight as a fan who has already seen it all multiple times. That being said, both of you guys have been constantly way ahead of where I was for my first watch of this show. There have been at least 5 or 6 instances where Nikki straight up called exactly what was going to happen, and at least 4 or 5 times where Steven did the same, when I had absolutely no fucking idea of what was going to happen on my first watch. The thought of you guys reaching the episodes "Half/Full Measure" have literally ben keeping me going for the past few months. Its absolutely amazing how much watching your reaction series has helped my chromic depression. I even can directly thank you two for being one of the only reasons I passed my last semester of college, since looking forward to your reaction videos has ben an incredible motivating factor to keep going every morning when I wake up. Thanks again so much for the reaction videos, and PLEASE keep it up. You have no idea how much your videos are a bright spot in a lot of people's lives.

And experinece the sound. What harm did it do to blow up his suit and dance around. Simply expressing joy? Tell me qhat harm it does? You telling me you dont do things like this in life? Why? Because someone told you not to? Because it might embarrass someone? Why is it an embarrassment? Because those people no longer know how to enjoy life themselves? So he make Walt look like a douch in front of Gale. Good. Walt was lying to Gale. That is the only thing Jesse did. That is the only harm Jesse caused. Was revealing to Gale that Walt was lying about why he was being fired.
As far as my comments, I can share all I want. Dont like my opi ion, dont read them. I do hold Jesse accountable. But I hold him accountable for what he is guilty of. Im not going to crucify him just to please you. Look back through all my posts. I hold every character accountable for what they are guilty of. And defend them when its something they are not guilty of. Even if I dont like them. And I wont stop just because you dont like it. I suggest you learn how to enjoy life. Maybe then you wont be so offended when you see someone else enjoying life. Or when someone defends them for it.

I think the way Walt keeps trying to soften difficult moments by actually just -- talking about the scary and devastating things that everyone is trying not to think about? Is an interesting window into how his mind is coping with the danger he's now constantly in.

Happy birthday, Nikki! You share a birthday with one of my favorite people on Earth: Mama Rose, a 93-year-Old truck stop waitress biker chick. I once took her to the cemetery to put flowers on her daughter’s grave, then she toddled down the hill and put flowers on a grave for twin boys. When I asked, she said a local doctor’s wife had had stillborn Siamese twins fifty years ago, and the doctor had traveled around with them in a jar of formaldehyde, selling tickets st freak shows. When he died, they auctioned off his belongings, including the babies in the jar. Rose has always thought that was awful, so she bought them, bought a plot and coffin, then buried them by her family so they’d always be loved. Then she bought five more plots for any poor people who might need them. That was money she was saving for a car, and she continued to walk to work, twelve miles away, for a few more years. You are in good company, dear lady. You seem as awesome as Mama Rose already!

unlevel tables and chair legs are annoying, but the thing I really hate are shopping carts with faulty/stuck wheels. I also hate when people dont push in kitchen drawers and cabinet doors.
The actor who plays Gus said in an interview that when Gus smiles he doesn't smile with his eyes in the sense that his eyes tend to be closer to the "truer" Gus, and now I think about that whenever he's on screen. Then I freaked out when I realized he was Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X

Totally wrong reaction to Walt giving his "I survived" speech - no, he wasn't going "sports hall" on them, he was setting it up: situation grim as you can imagine - but I survived. Spot on, Walt!
The first time I watched this episode (I remember it like it was yesterday but it was almost 5 years ago), I remember being so blown away but also fulfilled in how everything turned out. For example, when Mike dropped that needle in the bin out of nowhere, chills ran down my spine because you are realizing just how sophisticated this operation is and most importantly, that these characters are much bigger than you even thought.
I also was just nervous about how the entire DEA was surrounding Walt, and for me I was scared that they knew he had something to do with it (I didn't watch the show like many people today do knowing in their minds that there are "5 seasons and this is only the 3rd so Walt must make it" and I sure didn't see the covers of the DVD seasons- season 5 gives some stuff away) and thought they might be fucking with him, especially Gomez. Then when the brother recognizes him, I thought that might blow his cover too to Gomez. It was a pretty tense episode.
But then also Gus- it's great how he brings the entire DEA and everyone friend chicken and they all love it, and then his talk with Walter was great: "Now, shake my hand..." was really good, too....Of course, you also have the awesome ending where he is involved in the Juan Bolsa hit, and if you pay attention, it's interesting how Bolsa mentions how Washington DC is going to be interested in these southwest cartel happenings bc a DEA agent got shot and Bolsa has connections to there. Gus' face at the very end when he's listening to gunfire and then walking back to the restaurant is great acting and directing.
@Drake Lang - No, Im talking about the facial recognition. It was a good job on the first time watching how they made you think that the DEA agents might recognize that the twin is focusing in on Walt, especially with Walt's facial reaction and Cranston's acting. But they missed it and just assumed he was looking at them all in general. All he had to do was point his finger or say "Walter White" while he was crawling or in the bed, and that would have aroused suspicion. Obviously, he was so fucked up on painkillers and in somewhat of a fugue state that he kept his communication to just staring and crawling. That was the whole point of the very prior scene before where walk sort of got bunched up on the escalator and it seemed like they forced him to go up against his will, which they sort of did...But it turned out to be more of a homey thing, like Walt is part of the DEA family.
Man I wish I was 38 again! I would immediately quit smoking if I were!

Fat helps for sure. A big ol 6'1 300lb fatty can slow the bullet down and not allow it to penetrate as much compared to say someone 6'1 150lbs. Certain calibers ain't gone matter how fat you are though.
