As a fellow queer person, I get how frustrated that must make you. But that doesn’t mean you have to be so bitter, because you can pretend he’s gay! It might not make you as happy, but I promise it’ll make you feel at least a little bit better.

There was no kiss with Jesse and Lake either, which were the more heteronormative coded couple. I think one of the things I like about infinity train is that it doesn’t make the relationships it builds feel forced, and a kiss just for the sake of a kiss when there’s no real emphasis on the buildup can feel forced. ESPECIALLY immediately following the art car incident and finding out about the backstory of the castle? They *just* worked something out, that doesn’t feel like a moment real humans would say “yeah let’s kiss now” to me, and I think it would be unhealthy to push the trope of “if they’re kind of a dick for a few days, but then they do the basic bare minimum and apologize, now forget about it and kiss them, now go live happily ever after with zero nuance in the situation”. That just kinda tends to feel like lazy writing. Infinity train broke down their personal issues **first** and that is so much healthier of an angle. (in my own opinion anyway) I’m 3000000% here for it in most instances but (I think) infinity train was just more focused on nuance and subtlety across all seasons in its characters and their interaction, and that just made Ryan and Min more relatable and feel more like real human beings. But now we just sit and wait and hope we get more infinity train by the time we all die of old age 🥲
That’s where both shows differ. LoK showed the start of a relationship, but Infinity Train showed the reunion of a friendship that will progress into romance eventually.
That people who are different are just as much like people as the rest of humankind?? It's hard to call Infinity Train as "just a kids' show" anyway when it contains so many dark themes and a dark atmosphere. The fact you're blindly assuming it's a kid show simply because it's animated suggests you're, well, "basic" to say the least.
