I thoroughly enjoyed watching you make this.
It does not bother me that you create as you go along and share this. It’s real time and maybe helps some one else see that it’s ok to switch plans mid stream.
I really appreciate that you take the time to take us on your creative journey.
    🥰

    Hi Gayle
I’ve just found this series of yours. It’s great and I do chuckle along with you, feel like I’m in the same room as you. In my first journal I made I didn’t cover the inside spine so in between the signatures the cardboard can be seen. I love the fabric you’ve used for the spine. On to the next video. Thank you for sharing with us xxx much love xx

Omg. Your box of lace is something I dream of having one day! Lace is something I LOVE so so much. That's for sharing this series. I really enjoy watching how everyone does it. I feel like we can all learn something from each other. I also appreciate you doing these videos because they aren't as easy as most people think. It's extra work to deal with crafting, staying in the view of the camera and carrying on a conversation with yourself. Thanks

Thank you so much, Jamie! I so appreciate your understanding that it is easier to just craft and not film. But, I have to say, that it does give me joy to share with all of you. People have been so kind with their appreciation and comments...like you! Thanks so much for watching, my dear! ❤️

Wonderful video Gayle! Thank you for sharing you process, I am learning so much from you. It was nice to here you enjoyed the day with your grand daughter. It’s nice that she is crafting with you and making beautiful memories, so fun. The Franklin paper is a great idea, I want to try that out on my next break, spend one day bonding with my paper scraps and sewing machine. I am looking forward to watching the rest to your videos. Keep on laughing and have fun, I’m certainly enjoying it!! Hugs and blessings your way. Shana

Thank you, Gayle! It's so interesting and helpful (and fun!) to watch and to listen as you talk us through each step; it feels like we are sitting with you, and that's the way that I learn best! You are very generous! :)

Gayle, you're so funny. I love to watch your videos. I don't know if I've ever commented. I enjoyed watching your process. I always feel like I struggle preparing my cover but once I'm finished you can't tell. I think I was making it way more complicated than it needs to be because your process is so simple. TFS

Supper video! You're great fun to watch and listen to. So many videos, so little time. Anyway, I am a book collector. At one time I had about 5,000 books, but I lost them in a storage unit in GA. I still get upset when I think about that. But, my point is, I'm having a hard time with tearing books apart; however, I bought an address book with beautiful pictures in it and took those pages out and then glued pages together to make them thicker. I also have an old book I took apart, but haven't decided what I'm going to do next. Guess I'll watch more of your videos to find out!

You explain everything so clearly and in a non complicated form that a new to junk journal making like me is able to follow you. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I appreciate it so very much. GOD Bless

Love it, Lottie! I keep telling my husband I need a bigger craft room. He looks at me as if I've lost my mind! I know he's thinking...oh yea, so you can buy more stuff to fill it up! 😂😂😂. Of course, I'm thinking...then I'd have more room to work..and be able to buy more stuff to fill it up! 😂😂😂. Thanks for watching, my dear!! ❤️

I like to make my spine a bit narrower, the same size as the pages that were in there, so there is still room for the little space on either side of the spine, allowing the book to open and close and not stress those outer edges on either side of the spine. Sometimes i curve them too. I dont attach the new spine to the spine cover but attach it to the inside of the covers, or to the two sheets on either side.

Gayle, do you ever feel like you need to clean the old book covers? I would be concerned about molds or cigarette , pipe odors and stuff like that. If so, what would you use?
