most kpop groups have backtracks live because they are doing intense dances that may cause loss of breath & stability at any time. many idols sing or rap over it & pause to let the backtrack play softy - to show off their vocals & skills. some groups sing & rap the entire way through too. it depends. kpop concerts also tend to be a mix of high-energy dance tracks & soft ballads that allow the idols to slow down & showcase more of their musical talent. considering that is their title high-energy track, it makes perfect sense why there is a backtrack as well as them singing live.
@@jaydel3 The backtracks are there in all performances not just korean. Also in katseye, most of them usually sing live if you ever bother to check their other performances. Questioning the groups vocals is crazy when you don't know their backgrounds. They're not trained like a kpop group because 4/6 of them had a lot of experience beforehand in their respective countries. 2 of the 6 girls (Lara & sophia) have been vocalists since they were literal toddlers. Megan and Daniela have a whole dancing career they've had. Yoonchae had been in kpop training for like 3-4 years pre-debut. Manon (the one in this clip) is also doing really well for someone who did not have any vocal or dance training beforehand. Yall too quick to judge people you know nothing about.
@ I go to live shows very often. Went to 37 last year and a couple of those were kpop concerts. They are doing what billlie did high backing track and now to no vocals. And I dnt pay money for lip sync. Billlie was the only exception bc i love tsuki. I personally prefer a show with no back track bc i want to hear you sing. These girls were not maybe here or there I’ll give them that. But you neeed to sing it’s a basic skill for a singer. Saw multiple artist in their 40s sounding better than their record and I saw ppl in their 20s dancing sounding better than their records. So there is no excuse for these new artists but I only see this common in kpop when that wasn’t the case when I got into kpop. Hell that’s the whole reason I loved it. It reminded me of 90-00s pop stars of the west. But if Kateyes want to make it in the west as a girl group like little mix, spice girls, destiny child’s, tlc etc they have to sing live. Like I saw XG this past October and when I tell you kids were on they were ON!!!! And I had very close seats (and they were cheap I lucked out) they sounded amazing and they were DANCING full out! You can hear every breath and movement (a good way to tell in videos if mic are on) but I was there in person and MICs were on! I just love live music for that reason alone. I will say there is this account that does those Mr removal videos and they dnt like XG it’s obvious bc I do editing and they be editing those vocals out and only leave the parts where you obviously cnt edit out bc then you’ll remove the whole sound. They are sketchy. I’m not a hater katseye have the potential to be good however they need to start singing live if they want a western dominated mainstream audience bc right now they are just in the kpop niche even though they aren’t kpop. The marketing is very kpop. I just want mics on, backtrack down on verses and good stamina. If USHER can do it on skates at 40 something ( that man sounded so good live with no backtrack, he was still break dancing I was shook) so can katseye at 19-20 something. Dnt be a delusional fan and hold your favs accountable make them do better and demand a live LIVE performance for once. Yall like mediocrity too much and it’s sickening tbh and no one I mean NO ONE was singing in this clip 😑
@luckyxxxxk Also if you actually listened later on in this same performance Sophia's mic was too quiet and you can CLEARLY hear her singing live. It's not mediocrity at all.
@LeilaniTauheedpay attention and you’d know that her actual voice never joins the audio playing 😂 even if a mic is on, Manon was not singing. HYBE will do anything to make sure people still like their idols that can’t sing.
Yall are hating on the soundman, when actually he did that to bring a sudden attention to the crowd.. The only thing is I wish he had informed the girls
The funny thing is that in another clip of this performance that was shot from another angle, I believe they missed her signal and didn’t play the music, so she gave it a second try and they played the wrong soundtrack. Took three attempts.😂
It was live, it's just that there are background vocals for some parts. I mean this performance went viral because they made sophia's mic so loud it was kinda a jumpscare lmao it was 100% live
