Its illegal to change the name of a club in engish proffesional football without abolishing it and rebuilding it. That is why they have never taken over an english club. You are also forbidden to have a sponsor in your club name so there is no way leeds can possibly become red bull leeds without folding

But if the FA cup winner is in the top 5 and have already Qualified for the europa league or champions league, the second europa league spot is given to 6th and giving conference league to 7th. In your career mode neither were top 5 therefore 6th get Europa league

@FIFAFC1234 you're right, I believe NY Red Bull are the exception, they typically buy a club license like you mentioned. The problem with English football is that if a club can't compete in the league, the club that was getting relegated in the higher position stays in the league. I mean they could have bought Bury place in the league and called the team RB Manchester.

With whole Europe league and conference league the winner of fa cup takes the place of 6th team in premier league and that team drops into conference league only if team who wins the carbao cup is in top 4 but as in this career mode Burnley won the carbao cup when you finished 7th they get conference league spot instead of you so 5th in premier league is guaranteed Europe league spot for fellowing season and 6th place in premier league as well only if fa cup winners aren’t outside top 7 in the premier league and 7th in premier league is conference league unless team outside top 7 wins the cup

@@YTMWS Yes it can be very confusing but once you understand the premises of it and it’s easier to understand it that’s why next season European league from premier league are spurs and Manchester United as they win fa cup and kicking Chelsea into conference league instead of European league for next season and Newcastle United finished 7th in premier league but as Manchester United won fa cup it completely knocked Newcastle United out of any European competition for this season coming

In the 1990/91 season, due to the restructuring of the leagues in the Football League for the following season, in the 3rd tier of English football, 4 teams got promoted (3 automatically, 1 via playoff) instead of the usual three (2 automatically, 1 via playoff). The crazy thing is in that season, three out of four teams who got promoted at the end were three newly promoted teams from the lower tier (Cambridge United, Southend United, Grimsby Town) and they all finished in the top 3 of League Division Three while the other team survived, finishing in 16th out of 24 teams.
22:40 Remember the 2023/24 season IRL, with Manchester United winning the FA Cup despite finishing 8th below Newcastle United in 7th in the EPL table. Manchester Utd will play in the Europa League next season but no European football for the Geordies, Chelsea will have to play Conference League football. This also happened 4 years ago, Arsenal finished 8th in the EPL below Wolves in 7th but due to their FA Cup win, Arsenal got to play Europa League football already from the group stage, Wolves had no European football to contend with and Spurs had to go through some qualifying rounds of the UEL. Back then in the 2012/13 season, Wigan Athletic, relegated from the Premier League, won the FA Cup and earned themselves Europa League football, even if they lost, they would still qualify due to a rule back then that the runners-up of the FA Cup would also earn themselves a place in the UEL (that rule was abolished from the 2014/15 season so Aston Villa did not get European football despite being the runners-up of the FA Cup) and Swansea City won the League Cup despite a 9th-placed finish and also got into Europe which meant that Everton, the team finished 6th in the Premier League that season, missed out on European football altogether. If I try to explain how it works, it will be a nightmare because it's gonna take ages.
