Sir, I've been buying these Signature Fitness Weight Plates since the Chinese Global Pandemic of 2020 - I'm sure you remember . . . I needed/wanted a weight plate to MATCH the size of my vintage YORK Milled Weight Plates. They do match the Diameter/Width and Depth perfectly, although I have only bought the 2 1/2 LB, 5LB and 10LB weight plates, but I'm sure the 45LB'ers are the same size as well. *Note about the quality: Early Covid I bought 4/10LB weight plates and the quality was far better than what you and I get today from Signature Fitness. Each 10LB'er was perfect in appearance with zero flaws to the weight plate itself and the lettering and white paint was perfect as well. The Black color is slightly less black and ever so slightly grey/black if you could imagine that - but still considered black if you didn't have the newer plate color to compare them to. The Signature Fitness Weight Plates we Buy now: 5/28/24 are not as good as the Covid era weight plates. But for me these weight plates work as weight plates and are not broken as long as they continue to have weight to them ;) and $1.00 per pound can't be beat anywhere.
I just honestly reviewed what I received so I’ll have to take your word that plates 4 years ago were better quality. However I will say, and you seem to agree, that for less than a $1/lb it’s a great deal! They lasted you four, and I hope many more!!
Amazon link shows that style of plates currently unavailable. However, both the rubber coated style and the two-hole vintage style are available for about $90 per pair, which is still a great deal. How much is shipping?
Thank you for the review - I was thinking about going the cheap option but guess i'm too fussy about stuff like that so I better go with calibrated plates.
@Murdoch_Industries I let the scale turn off then turned it back on in between each weight, but you could be right. I’ll weigh’em again tomorrow on a different scale and edit this with my findings. 👍🏼 Edit: On a different scale they were all the same. So even though they aren’t exactly 45lbs, at least they’re mostly consistent!
Yes, I have a scale like this, too. Basically, weigh anything else in between things that are close in weight like a bunch of 45 pound plates (a 25, yourself, a leg was my favorite). I eventually got a legal-for-trade scale where I don't have to do all this silliness!
Damn they're lighter than 45lbs but close enough. I do Static Holds with thick rubber coated plates - so I've been wondering since last month how many Standard 45lb plates could fit on each side on a normal barbell and your vid gave me the answer. LOL Liked and subbed. Thanks for the video, boss.
5% might have been fine back when Pumping Iron hit the big screen but these days that's terrible. I have a mix of several brands, economy cast and more premium machined (none are calibrated) and every one is under 2%, the machines ones are within 1% of true.
Understandable, when this is someone’s livelihood or when they compete. They would be spending however much on calibrated or low tolerance plates. But you can’t expect that from plates off Amazon that are less than a dollar per pound new. I don’t really mind how accurate the weight is for my leg press but I do use the Rogue Echo V2 for most my lifts, claimed at +/- 1% even though I don’t compete or anything but they are almost double the price at $1.8 per pound.
i laughed, i cried, and i died inside when all six plates went on backwards
I like faces out, backwards to you means nothing to me mwahahaha

@@Porkys.Powerhouse Oh yea, I'll continue to buy these Signature weight plates at $1.00 per pound.
Thank you. They were on sale again today. Got it with taxes for about 260.
Currently unavailable. Good luck with your channel Man! Wish you the best.
I’m showing plates are still available or are you saying my video is unavailable? Either way, Fut the wuck?!

@@republicjim120 Amazon told me shipping would have been around $150 for the 270lbs but Prime made it free.

No problem with that man. If you got the funds for that kinda fun, gucking fo for it!!
i have that scale and it sorta spits out the same number if it thinks you are weighing the same thing twice without recalibrating it in between

I’m glad I could help and I appreciate the sub homie!

Hm, looks like they just used their 20kg plate mold and only changed the text on it...
They advertised it as 20.4kg on the plate itself so it’s still inaccurate, bc it’s closer to 19.5kg. But still a tolerance of +/- 5% isn’t horrible.
would be kinda funny seeing the delivery drivers reaction to handling these boxes with the picture of the weight on the top
I’m sure they hate it, but at least it’s not awkward shaped and huge, hated those much more!!
Great video dude! Love it. Need fresh voices!
Man, I really appreciate that! I’ll try to keep up with the giants of the industry lol

Thanks man much appreciated!
