Just a general tip for anyone conquering the Isles: Laith's peace wasn't too optimal. You can really cripple them if you snake to their center of trades. Taking York, Gloucester and Lancashire (Bedfordshire? the one below Hull) seems to really hurt their economy every time I fight them, while leaving their CoTs alone seems to make them bounce back relatively quickly.
Yeah you can do that and grab one county in Wales and Northumbria, and really hurt them. Release Wales and Northumbria as vassals to take most of the rest in the next war
You meant Lincolnshire? Bedfordshire is the one below Lincolnshire (so 2 provinces south of Hull), and Lancashire is the one on the west coast south of cumbria
@@derekskelton4187 yeah, but as Ireland/Scotland I prefer to just grab land directly to sustain my economy. Plus you really get a free ride with AE, as not many nations care about what happens in Britain.

In one of the last few version updates, Naples gets an early event (upon the death of the Aragonese king I believe) where Aragon can either honor an earlier promise and set them free, or keep them and incur harsh penalties. The AI almost always chooses to release Naples. France, for their part, get a restoration of PU CB on Naples (either mission or event, I can’t remember), so them getting that land under their crown is actually pretty easy, even if the AI tends not to not do that
