14 inch wheels? Be glad you can still find any decent tires to run. Hot day with a T speed rating will have a bit more give in the sidewall than H or V, probably a good thing for a highway cruiser. What country is this size made in? Not that it matters much, but it's always nice to buy USA products that one of my neighbors might have made. General seems to have factories all over the world. I've got to get a new 17" set for my sedan and this review caught my eye. Thanks for posting.
Yes, good 14" tires are definitely getting hard to find. Luckily, they are usually the low price "teaser" in ads these days (ex. Starting as low as $xx.xx)
I like the 43's. Good in snow. The center rib seem to be better at keeping it straight on the road in slush and snow. A guy was following me. He was all over the road, side to side. Nut behind the wheel. Next set will be the 45.
Overall, I like them a lot, but not sure yet if that's more than the RT43s. Every tire has a trade off, and these tires are no exception. There is a tad more road noise than the 43s, but that's prolly due to the slightly harder longer-life rubber compound. The sidewalls on both the 43s and 45s could be thicker for more lateral stability, but it is a cruising tire, not a performance tire, so you get the good with the bad. With approx 30K on them, they still grip well on dry and do not hydroplane thru puddles, however the steering can get notchy around sweeping bends at highway speeds (probably my old car's suspension doing that then the tires). Thanks for watchin'.
On my 99 Camry, excellent so far, but to be honest, I run snow tires in the front from December to the end of March, so not sure about winter street flooding type puddles, if ya get what I'm sayin'?
@@dbfcrell8300 Yeah I hear ya. I have a set of cooper made Arizonian silver edition III on my grand marquis and they're 5 years old and starting to get a bit hard, wet traction still good but not near as good as the first year or two they were on the car. I can get the General Altimax rt45s cheaper than another set of the Arizonian tires.
Great video, very informative.

43s were quieter. 45s last longer and like the 43s never hydroplaned. Not sure how the 45s are in the snow tho.
What tread level did you start out with? Mine is around 10\32nds new
Sorry, I didn't measure.
Any updates? How are you liking the tires? How's tge ride and road noise? Thanks

How are these tires in heavy rain? thinking about trying these.

Are these directional tires? Thanks
These are a non-directional tread pattern with no directional arrows on the sidewall.
Are they gd tires are they better than Michelin tires
