I'm from NYC too and I'm looking to start flipping cars, your videos are really helpful and informative. Nice work! Looking forward to learn more from you. God bless you Man!
Thanks for the background Jamaul. I've been toying with this for a while. I've been a car guy my whole life and I've always enjoyed detailing, cleaning and repairing cars. It would mainly be a side hustle for me as my day job pays pretty well but it doesn't really satisfy my love of cars (I'm in IT). I'm also not really a sales guy. I just like making things look good and seeing the end result of the work I put in. I would like to see a bit more on how you approach the sale with a potential buyer, how you protect yourself from scammers and just the basics for the actual sales side of it. Thanks so much! I really enjoy following you on this journey!
That's awesome you've already gotten started, and that's an interesting mix btw. Most IT type of people I know don't like to get their hands dirty too much. Thank you so much for the feedback, I'll look to mix that in as well
It’s unreal how much I can relate to your story with not just the hustler mentality, but also the reasoning behind it. The feeling stuck is the worst part of being an entrepreneur but that’s also where real hustlers become something. Car flipping was something I wanted to dive into for a minute but it wasn’t until I saw one of your videos where I decided to full send it‼️ I’m on my 3rd one now and starving for more! Appreciate you taking time to make and edit content for us to enjoy!
Yea man, from the outside it might not have looked like I was in a bad spot but really I hated it. Especially as you said, just having that entrepreneur mindset. That's awesome though man, from your character I can tell you'll go far
Hey brother, glad to hear you talking about prayer! I'm also trying to do some car flipping (but on the side). Glad I ran into your channel. God bless.
What’s up man so I have been watching your videos for the past few months, and I can relate so much of what you go through on day to day basis but seeing in this video how you started out gave me even more motivation, keep on going bro, definitely greatness in the making! If you have anytime and can reach out it would be great to have few words on how everything is going!
Thank you my brother 🙏🏽 i appreciate your video's very helpful and I can't wait to get in the auto auction. I just started looking at your video and I appreciate the info 🙏🏽
How do you get around the 5 car limit? I’m in Georgia and can’t seem to find any dealers to let me sell under their name and don’t want to have to rent out a lot to sell to the public. I’ve heard I can get a brokers license but I’m not sure that I can buy cars at dealer auctions and sell them to the public with that or if it’s even any easier to get starter than a regular license
Hey jamaul, I hope you’re doing well. How accurate is buying at trade in value of Kbb and selling at their private sale value? I’m in a flipping group and they say that Kbb is very inaccurate and does not represent accurate figures. I also flipped a car before and it was worth like 12.5k on Kbb and I was only able to sell it for like 9k. Are there any alternatives or am I doing something wrong? Thank you
Hey great question, I wouldn't suggest doing that as a long term thing. For beginners it's not bad but I'd suggest setting a profit margin for yourself and then working backwards based on what you can expect to sell the car for. You could also download the checklist I made at www.flippinguniversity.net/cheatsheet where I highlight key areas like that when you're buying a car to flip
In California how can I get access with the help of a dealer without a dealer license, I want my dealers license but I need a lot and an office, how can. I get the help of a dealership to fulfill that for me?
@@FlippingUniversitycould you clarify how you "work under the dealership" are you a consultant or something that can tie you to the dealership which allows you to hold a dealers license?
How can i work with you flipping cars.. I'm in NY and it's very hard to find the space to put a car until you find a buyer. I'm in the Bronx i use to live in Queens Ozone Park. Parking in this area is ridiculous. I need help bro.
I have been searching for an answer that I am not clear on. You have auction access and buy cars at auction. Are you able to advertise and sell directly to the public or are you doing the paperwork at a dealership and paying them a doc fee?
@@FlippingUniversity Thanks! I will look into this. I submitted my application for a wholesale license last week here in Cali. So I have been trying to find ways to sell to the public legally.

@@mike964-p5e yup you can go to any adesa, Manheim, and a couple other auctions anywhere around the US and buy directly from that auction. As well as using ACV auctions which is also nationwide. It doesn't have to be from, or in NJ

Thanks! It's crazy thinking back to it all now
Before I watch the video; don’t you need a specific license in order to sell more than a certain amount of cars a year?
Yup, I mentioned that in the video as well as a solution to it
