      FTECU poses another issue of tuning as it isn’t a tune persay. It gives you the ability to tune the bike but you need to know what you’re doing. The kit will lock your ecu to your computer so if you want to have someone tune it for you you have to give them your bike and computer to do so. With full M4 system and intake , tune is definitely needed?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  2 года назад +1

      Hard to say I’ve been told no it’s fine, but I personally believe it needs a tune at that point, I don’t think you getting a real benefit out of the the intake and exhaust without the tune. I want more than just a little power increase too I want to drop some engine braking too

    The opposite of ram air?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  13 дней назад

      Yea, ram air is when air while driving gets forced into the engine, with the rubber boot on facing to the back of the bike it’s sucking air in vs being forced in. It’s kinda a joke with the r7 because the front of the bike where the center headlight is, is for the r6/r1 funnel air into the intake where the r7 front whole is just fake ram air as their is no ducting to direct the air and there is a light instead. Hope this helps

      @ScoutsOut I understand completely, I really want one of these bikes, I had a k3 g6r 1000, sold out for a fully tuned vx10 r, sold out for a gen 1Hayabusa. I'm super happy with the Hayabusa I love the GSXR product and all the torque. I want to get one of these for daily use around my little town

    Got a full system and looking to add this filter as well. Do I have to do a ecu tune or power commander to run both of these?

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  Год назад +1

      Really hard to say. I've done the exhaust filter and DNA cap which was the most noticeable power gain. When I got it dyno tested it was lean but less then 10%. Understanding how cars run... anything under 10% is acceptable, not optimal but acceptable. So will it damage anything, imo no but the gain in power with more fuel would be drastically better

      I wouldnt run both without a ECU flash because the R7 is already lean from the factory so to add a aftermarket pipe & filter it has to make it way more lean sure you can run it but I wouldnt
