1500 hours into warframe and the game keeps getting better for me! I love this game! Answering your question at the start. Its never too late to start playing warframe but when someone starts they need to know they are diving into an ocean of things to do. If they don't have someone to help them just by reading the wiki its going to be hard. I didn't have anyone. I liked the game so much. I remember starting a gaming session and after 4 hours of "playing", reading the wiki to understand what's going on, took almost more than half of it. And some advice. Never try to do everything and have everything fast. Warframe is an ultra marathon. Just take your time with patience. First enjoy playing it, and then go for the massive arsenal collection etc. Otherwise you are in danger of getting so burned out that you never coming back. (The alternative is just paying to have everything but that's only if you have to spend and it's a choice)
Hell yeah thanks for the positive feedback, my cousins play this and they told me to download it , so I will be playing this for the first time with them tomorrow! They are pretty deep into it, can’t wait to hop on! Hearing all these positive comments about it makes it even better ! Thank you
I think Warframe does tend to suffer from complexity creep to an extent. A lot of the new content is quite complicated, even for returning players. You definitely need to look up a majority of things. However, the community is very welcoming and generous. If you need an item/mod that is cheap, some players will just trade you it for free if they have a spare. And a lot of people are helpful and willing to provide advice or assistance to new players. Also, IMO all of the starter Warframe choices are good, but I would pick depending on your preferred playstyle: Excalibur is themed around sword combat, he is primarily focused on raw damage from his 4th ability, Exalted Blade. When you use Exalted Blade, you pull out a sword that basically shoots energy that will slice through enemies, and works great against multiple of them. Essentially, it's like having a strong 4th weapon, but you don't need to use any of your 3 weapon slots. Also, his 2nd ability. Radial Blind, is a crowd control ability that is also useful against multiple enemies at once. His first ability is a basic ability with some damage/mobility. His 3rd ability is basically a throwable spear that does damage and can even impale enemies into the environment. Volt is themed around electricity, he is a Warframe that is versatile but is somewhat more utility focused. First ability is a basic damage burst. Second ability is a speed boost for himself & nearby teammates. Third ability is an energy shield that he can place on the ground for cover, or pick up for personal use. Fourth, he has a very large AOE damage ability that does a lot of damage early on, when enemies are low level. But later into the game, the damage does not scale as nicely; however, it's is primarily use is for stunning a lot of enemies for an extended period of time. Mag is themed around magnetic force, she is a Warframe that is quite focused on crowd control and utility. She can use the first ability to pull in enemies and group them up. Third ability can strip enemy armor/shields and makes them drop a "Polarize Shard" that works with her other abilities. Second ability can ensnare that group of enemies so they are stuck there, and ensnares any nearby shards to damage enemies who are ensnared. (Second ability also doubles as a defensive ability if you hold the button to use it, instead of only tapping the button.) 4th ability is a damage ability that also restores some of your shields if the enemies are ensnared by the second ability.

"They don't time gate stuff" Lmao. Love Warframe from what I've played so far, but that is a bald-faced lie. It takes you DAYS to make a single Warframe without spending Platinum (days of pure waiting, after you already have the materials.) Every single thing you craft takes like 12~36 hours without spending Plat on it. The time gating is the only thing that's turned me off of the game so far, tbh.
@@jamesgriffiths9135 To be fair, that's expected from that genre of game. Also, Clash of Clans (and the genre it's from) is heavily P2W and no one denies it :^) Like, I used to play a lot of the Travian games, etc that pre-dated Clash of Clans and yeah, waiting is definitely a nightmare in all of them xD But at least people admit they're time gated in those. People act like Warframe doesn't have any time gated mechanics though, and that's just wild to me.
@@MikeSakaru yeah i used to spend so much in clash of clans as i got older, you explained it well actually thank you. im just planning to start my warframe experience after seeing different content on youtube
@@jamesgriffiths9135 Yeah :^) As long as you're willing to learn to trade later on, the game is still very F2P friendly since you can just sell stuff for Platinum to other players. Just make sure you get in a guild early (it won't be hard. I didn't even try to join one, I played exclusively solo and randomly got invited to a guild so I accepted), because there's a lot of stuff you can only buy the recipes for, etc, in guild rooms.
P sure by time-gating they mean there's no FOMO system in place like so many live service/f2p games abuse with limited-time battle passes and whatnot. All the content available stays available and earnable forever = no time gating
Someone who is a "veteran" been here since 2017 even making another account in 2022 it's fun but if you are returning it's not as fun especially if you completely finished everything which is why i made a new account starting over but if you are new you can literally earn everything FREE by just playing unless you are someone like me who would rather throw money at the game to get the stuff quicker xD
haah that random frost cosplay walking by lol! So one thing I would add is take the time to join a few clan and find one that fits, there are easy to get weapons and Warframes in the dojo (clan housing). Also playing the game with real people as guides can help you shorten alot of that early game grind! Also Great Vid, I have put alot of hour into this game and don't intend on stopping anytime soon.
i started in 2021 and ive been playing almost every single day on my free time, and there still things to do and that i want to do, and now with the new update with damage/status rewords i will need to see all new kinds of builds that will be interesting to see

I played Warframe back in the day when all there was was instance driven game play. I am over joyed to have stumbled upon the game again!! I am a 17 year vet on World of warcraft but now after playing Warframe when I go back to wow it is prehistoric and out dated to say the least. There is more than a little that I have to learn about Warframe but I am going to pick at it bit at a time. Props to the Dev's of Warframe and if you have not given the game a try - do it now!!
well, i havnt played since 2020 on switch , lol i think i only got to mars... seems i have some work to do. good video, got me excited to grind a game out
Really though, this is a problem I don't see anyone talking about. You spend hours grinding for parts, and then have to spend hours waiting for it to get done. It's what turned me off. They need to leave time based stuff to mobile games.
@@davidicus6791 Its not a problem once you pass a certain length in the game. Where you will preplan your crafting and have it crafting over the days while you do other stuff or farm for other things. Game doesnt say "Hey craft this now sit and wait and do nothing for 3 days." It's more like "Hey you crafted this it will take some time until its done but in the meantime do this while you wait". Then you get it for free. Meanwhile in some games you will grind for something for days and not get it due to rng loot or game will force you to pay to get it. So warframe fans dont complain about waiting for things to craft due to this, we much rather have this than the other options.
When you listed "having to look to guides or online references" as a determent, I laughed. I can't think of a single game where I don't have my browser up to look things up constantly while playing.
Mag is a super good starting frame but volt is pretty hard to get until later on so I'd recommend picking them up so u can get the extra mastery early on
Mag is good at all levels of play, even level 9999 enemies can become paper people with her. But you have to understand how her kit works, because alot of it isn't exactly spelled out for you.
Slots and crafting time stopped my progression then i quitted, i’m watching warframe videos recently to motivate me back into the game…but i remembered the slots and crafting time then i’m back to meehhhhh😂
8:38 actually u dont have to complete all of the missions on a planet to move onto the next. Usually just like 3 or 4 missions that lead to the junction
I love Warframe. I have thousands of hours in the game...but it BADLY needs an overhaul of everything outside of actual gameplay. The moment-to-moment combat/gameplay is fantastic. The map design is good, the combat is awesome, the enemy AI is great, ETC. Everything else is designed in such an esoteric and confusing way, there's no way a new player can grasp what they are supposed to be doing. The moment you're out of the tutorial you have a TON of stuff dumped onto you, with no clear indication what any of it is. It would be nice if there was some kind of new player guidance, but that would only be putting a band-aid on a gushing wound. The whole experience needs to be drastically overhauled if DE really wanted this game to reach (and retain) new players. I can't count the number of times I've convinced friends to give this game a try, only to have them quit after a few hours because of the deluge of menus/systems that new players are buried under. There's no sense of "Oh, this looks interesting! All these systems are laid out in such an intuitive manner that it perfectly explains what they are! Let's explore them!" Instead there's a sense of, "Oh god! What does any of this mean?! What do I do?! NVM, I quit. Warframe isn't for me."
There are a number of big oofs in Warframe, such as the timegates on progression, and invisible walls on planets where your objective is in the direction the wall blocks you.
Question really is how many players are still playing after the first month😊 Oh and of course nothing is time gated, (Yeah OK 😂) sure that guy has even played WarFrame, no the game doesn’t judge you but the community does all the time, (Make sure your using Meta frames and weapons). Oh and have your Platinum Ready if you want to progress in this Free to play game. (You being Sponsored by DE, by any chance)😂
I just switch over to the XBSX from the 360 and one of the first games i downloaded I just reached level 1 and been enjoying every second of it since starting a few days ago great game something I can play for hours
I love warframe, but I had one very big problem that ended in me not playing anymore. I was thoroughly enjoying the story, had crafted a couple prime frames, got to mr15, then the story came to a massive halt because I needed a nechramech or void rig or whatever. I farmed for weeks on Deimos and after weeks of only playing warframe, I just had to stop. Such an awesome game, it’s a shame the grind is unbearable if I want to continue the story, so I most likely wont
its not that hard of a grind to make the nechramech, ive done it with zero plat. ive just followed some guides on yt how to get the resourses ,not all are found on deimos. the iso vaults can be done with randoms
@@awakeningpeepz rnjesus was not on my side when was trying to farm the actual nechramech parts. Kept getting common drops never what I needed. Gotta reinstall eventually
Great video in terms of production quality. However, this feels more like an advertisement rather than a guide to the game... Most of the tips could fit in a 3-5min video.
Awesome video, love the work behind it, about this amazing game, that i hope get to more people. love the content creators, love the game, love the vid, love all, keep it up !!!
Played probably 500 hours years back and just returned to the game recently. I had to start a fresh character which is fine and I'm really enjoying the added content. My only complaint is just how overpriced the micro transactions are. If they were cheaper, I would probably buy some things. But paying $20 to unlock a single prime warframe is kinda insane when you can just grind for it. Edit: I also wish the game gave more direction to new or returning players because it can be confusing to know what you should be working towards.
I got to MR15 I think on PS4 then moved over to PC in 2018 and because cross save didn't exist then I never went back to it. I have been mainly playing Destiny for as long as I can remember maybe it's time to jump back in.
i thought the craft timers at around 16 hours for a character on First descendant were bad... boi Warframe really hits you hard with these 3 day craft timers
so it's fair, but you can buy in game power gear and craftables? It's not timegated but you show a screen that shows you have to wait up to 12 hours for a craft to complete? How much were you paid? this game is a cashgrab.
Get Mags fracturing crush augment, and with only 134% strength you remove armor completely from all enemies in the AoE of her 4th ability. She's stupid strong even if the enemies are max level
Right now I'm basically about to quit anx uninstall this game, I've given up on following the story, I'm basically playing it just to play something with my friends, but then i have to do the new war quest so i get the stuff i need for it and start it, except it locks you in then has you using characters with controls you haven't used before, then makes me use my non upgraded railjack that travels slower than a slug and might as well have water pistols on it. Then it bugs out, taking me to a login screen but not actually letting me do anything. After 20 mins of nothing happening, it's clearly a bug so i restart the game get into the next part and there's stupidly difficult stealth puzzles that result in instant death if spotted and now im stuck on a boss that can make himself invulnerable and heal over and over again. This mission is just smashing your face into a wall repeatedly until the game might decide to let you get further. I cannot recommend this game at all, especially when there's sections not onltly gatekeeped behind a mission but once you go into the mission you are essentially locked out of the rest of the game forever until you finish it, and if you can't then well that's it there's nothing you can do but delete the game and move on. Seems like a massive flaw in game design to me riskingblocking people out of your game over a story mission but here we are.
@@godzelda123crafting, questing, a lot of loot unless you want to pay plat to buy it after they vault it.. a lot of stuff is time gated. This games whole monetary gain system is time gating. Prime access?
Recently made my third attempt at playing warframe and finally started getting into it. Unfortunately palworld and helldivers 2 are gonna steal a bit of time from it 😂
When i played this game in 2013.. the game was pay to play in a way that you were limited to have 1 or 2 free slot to own a Frame. This game have 50 warframe to play.. but you were limited to only 2. You wanted more slot? Pay! you wanted to upgrade your Dojo? Pay!! When both slot were used, you had to delete one warframe to be able to build a new one.. deconstructing a warframe you lost a lots of ressources. Hope this game evolved. I dont mind grinding, but dont block me behind a pay wall.
got i want to love this game this game, but it is hard to pick up, no guidelines whatsoever :D asks we me to have a quest to do another quest, but i cant do another quest because i need that quest, and ive been stuck here for 1 week, imma bout to quit...
Exalted Blade trivializes any difficult enemy on the normal star chart. Volt is a great frame, but Excal is going to be much easier for new players to use.
Excal is not good at all in lategame. Do not expect him to do well there. Mag is the total opposite, bad early and gets better and better the more you progress and understand the game. Volt will always be good no matter the situation or your level.
“The don’t lock stuff behind pay walls or time gate stuff.” As I’m waiting 72 hours for my wisp to finish building unless I want to spend platinum and won’t get to take another master test for 24 hours. Feels a bit disingenuous. I’ve been playing this game for like two weeks and have already spent $100. I didn’t need to…technically. But good god I wanted to.
Just got started and hearing about how loot works is so relieving, playing Destiny I payed for the gjallarhorn and it never dropped for me, one of the biggest let downs that was one of many reasons Destiny died for me. I kinda liked Warframe before but after this I do believe I will be putting a FAT amount of hours into it, cant wait to unravel the story.

@@MikeSakaru I’ve grown up with clash of clans waiting 2weeks + for 5 upgrades 😂 36 hours sounds pleasant haha
@@jamesgriffiths9135 To be fair, that's expected from that genre of game. Also, Clash of Clans (and the genre it's from) is heavily P2W and no one denies it :^)
Like, I used to play a lot of the Travian games, etc that pre-dated Clash of Clans and yeah, waiting is definitely a nightmare in all of them xD But at least people admit they're time gated in those.
This is the best time to play warframe with the current event running.
Ive played it back when it first came out crazy to see how much it changed though the years u couldnt fly a ship back when i played it
week 2 100hours just crafted my 1st warfram just have to wait 2 days to get it
100 hrs before crafting your first frame is long imo
100 hours? why? you can get rhino on your first 10 hours.
haah that random frost cosplay walking by lol!
I started last week and loving it so far. Ready for the amount of content and the grind
i started in 2021 and ive been playing almost every single day on my free time, and there still things to do and that i want to do, and now with the new update with damage/status rewords i will need to see all new kinds of builds that will be interesting to see
0:36 Damn, the Bloodborne parry sound effect always hits different!
I install the game get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff they added, uninstall.
I do this once a year :D
I have about 500h in the game which I put in about 5-6 years ago, game was much simpler and easier for me to follow ;)
Props to the Dev's of Warframe and if you have not given the game a try - do it now!!
well, i havnt played since 2020 on switch , lol i think i only got to mars... seems i have some work to do. good video, got me excited to grind a game out
This was more of an ad than a guide lol
Yeah. It's a good INTRODUCTION to the game on a base level. But it isn't an actual guide in pretty much anyway
"doesn't put content behind a paywall or time"
warframe: 12 hours until you craft is done :D
2:17 - 2:40 after these lies I just stopped listening.
I'm basically in one of my numerous should I try again phases lol
MR8, 150-200~ hours and I'm as lost as ever
I’m hopping in tonight for the first time
Absolutely worth playing now, it's so good!
The gameplay alone has me hooked. It's so smooth.
The only thing I disagree Warframe is not and never was a new player good experience but getting better from what I’ve hear 😎
There are a number of big oofs in Warframe, such as the timegates on progression, and invisible walls on planets where your objective is in the direction the wall blocks you.
2:20 - They literally do have timegates built into their crafting system though..?
Question really is how many players are still playing after the first month😊
Oh and of course nothing is time gated, (Yeah OK 😂) sure that guy has even played WarFrame, no the game doesn’t judge you but the community does all the time, (Make sure your using Meta frames and weapons).
You only just switched from the 360?😮
I love warframe, but I had one very big problem that ended in me not playing anymore.
@@blrk_ they drop from the nechramechs that spawn in the mission when you enter the vault, not at the end in the loot chamber. Maybe this can help you
@@blrk_ when you damage the nechramech that spawns in the vault you can destroy his armor(parts) and thats the drop you need.
@@awakeningpeepz well thank you sir I’ll be reinstalling tonight
Amazing game. You know a free to play game that makes me spend 100s of dollars without me needing to spend money. Is a great game!
i need a veteran guide 😭last time i played was since the deis mech thing
Great video in terms of production quality. However, this feels more like an advertisement rather than a guide to the game... Most of the tips could fit in a 3-5min video.
Yeah he comes off as a mega-shil for the game
This game running on a iPhone 15 PM is surprisingly good.
@@scapeg0wt I mean yeah you have to wait to craft but you can craft pretty much any frame through faringitis. I wouldn't say it's a cashgrab
I choose mag based on this intro, and loved it, I’m glad I got her. Until I got volt. Lol
Best game i have ever played in my life for sure
It's been like 7-8 years for me. Probably only put 30-40 hours on Xbox. Now restarting on PS5 and idk where to start
some of these statements are blatant lies, i love warframe but this video is a misrepresentation.
"No timegates" 😭
In terms of new content yes. But there are timegates with crafting
@@godzelda123crafting, questing, a lot of loot unless you want to pay plat to buy it after they vault it.. a lot of stuff is time gated. This games whole monetary gain system is time gating. Prime access?
Recently made my third attempt at playing warframe and finally started getting into it. Unfortunately palworld and helldivers 2 are gonna steal a bit of time from it 😂
This video helped me a lot tyvm
Haven't played in a while, I'm getting back to it since the wait for FFXIV's Dawntrail is gonna take a while...
The rng gods giveth, and the rng gods taketh.
I have over a 100 hours in this game and still feel like I have no idea whats going on half the time. This game has more grind than any other game.
No timegates? .....
(X) Doubt
50hrs in 2017, 40hrs on new account in 2020, took a break now im back after an extended break 😂
for any new players please pick volt the other two are super easy to get
When i played this game in 2013.. the game was pay to play in a way that you were limited to have 1 or 2 free slot to own a Frame.
'Doesn't timegate you behind stuff' bro... have you played the game...?
I was thinking the same thing lol, at least we can trade for plat :D
I played the beta for awhile then played destiny 2 and now since I left destiny I'm thinking of coming back
got i want to love this game this game, but it is hard to pick up, no guidelines whatsoever :D asks we me to have a quest to do another quest, but i cant do another quest because i need that quest, and ive been stuck here for 1 week, imma bout to quit...
Volt best starter frame imo, gets way more powerful than mag or ex alot faster, mag and ex may be better end game, but volt is best starter
Exalted Blade trivializes any difficult enemy on the normal star chart. Volt is a great frame, but Excal is going to be much easier for new players to use.
@@persies4397 in the end yes, at the start volt is better
Excal is not good at all in lategame. Do not expect him to do well there. Mag is the total opposite, bad early and gets better and better the more you progress and understand the game. Volt will always be good no matter the situation or your level.
Volt is trash he got powercrept by gauss
correction: Duviri isn't available for new players anymore
Sorry i cant used this video to show my friend i dont like the spoilers of the reveal of the tenno being a child....
Same!
Reb preferring Braton doesn't surprise me at all lmao
“The don’t lock stuff behind pay walls or time gate stuff.”
As I’m waiting 72 hours for my wisp to finish building unless I want to spend platinum and won’t get to take another master test for 24 hours.
Feels a bit disingenuous.
I’ve been playing this game for like two weeks and have already spent $100.
I didn’t need to…technically. But good god I wanted to.
so you were there at the first tennocon I was at, cool
2:20 dont time gate stuff? Ok what do you call waiting 3 days before you can play a new frame you spent a week farming for.
I started playing warframe in 2016 I just merged my old save now I'm exactly where I was back in 2016 still lost lmao
Gjallarhorn doesn’t drop from the dungeon. You have to get a quest from Shaw Han, then do grasp of avarice, then do a quest to put it back together
Ya volt is always the best starter but that's just my opinion
Do the main story it’s important
They don’t time gate anything or lock it behind paywalls? Mmmmmm🤔
What about MCGamerCZ he has been around for ever, easily as long as Brozime.
warframe is the best game i ever played ... ohh well .. RDR2 is just as awesome thou
Game is awesome, just going back after not playing for awhile..was waiting for cross save. But....I have come across many toxic people on all platforms.
i used yo play this back in 2015 then switched to pc and they finally added cross progression but now i dont even know where to start
So i should just unlock as many planets as i can then worry about quests after that, then worry about my builds later
Destiny refugees looking up guides. :)
Any Warframe lovers want to connect? None of my friends like this game 😢😢😢
Spoilers, clueless advice, false facts.... good review hahahahah
Lore that I don't know??? Tell me more please....
i have been putting off this game ever since it came out, thinking that its outdated and probably *dead* but honestly right now i'll give it a try.
Seems a little interesting. Not sure what the whole point of the game is but looking forward to the release so i can try it
Well, the release was over 10 years ago. You can try it right now!
I tried to get into this game but after about 2 hours or so and not being able to upgrade a mod I just gave up lol even though the combat was actually fun
way too complex menus and beginner unfriendly imo
just say you're new and want help in global chat or something, and a bunch of 5000hr Warframe chads will help you because they have nothing else to do in the game.
i haven't played the game in a while what "Male" warframes are good i already have some "female" frames that's why i ask my playstyle is usally run and kill no stealth unless mission is about stealth
Knightmare: Akshually its 2016 not 2018 kek
Game lacks a good end game there is no end game so one u done with a the story you pretty much have nothing to do
@@jaredford1931 fashion frame is endgame
what about the DLCs? are they required or to fully complete the game or?..
There aren’t any DLCs
No DLC to be found. Updates are added to the base game
i finally got into destiny but my ps5 is occupied my my gf right now. so heres to another new game, starting late and hoping to figure everything out like i did in destiny 2!
@@bowtieism3 your not wrong! only playing for the story and it gets that halo itch out. But yea warframe is alot better. everything that was there from the beginning is still there and free updates! i love the fast movement!
Played about 10 hours and just cannot get into it. It plays well but the gameplay loop is not enjoyable. A handful of 10+ mission types reused over and over again on maps that looked like they were AI generated is just not fun at all. Enemy types are bland and don’t vibe with the overall aesthetic of the game.
This is by far one of the worst reviews of a game ive ever seen. I LOVE warframe, but you atraight up lied about multiple things in this video. Shame on you, you just made an ad, not a genuine review of warframe in 2024. For shame man, for shame
