When I was a little girl, My Aunt Wanda had a pink kitchen only her appliances were pink. The pink looks really cute and so vintage. I have some blue crochet pot holders hanging on my wall between the cabinets in one area. They are just the right size and add texture. Maybe you could find some pink and white or pink and cream ones.

Oh I love it!!! 😍 we had a pink kitchen in our previous rental and I just loved it so much. I’m also over the whole all white kitchen, and living with that pink kitchen for almost 2 years solidified that when we own in the future, I’ll be painting the cupboards pink 😂

PS: my house was built in the 40s and like yours, my kitchen faces North and gets very little sun.. so I painted my walls a almost neutral pale yellow

Our home was built in 1955. I painted one wall in the kitchen yellow and added a flowery curtain with reds, yellows and blues. And painted a little shelf blue that holds our mugs. I love that vintage houses had so much color! I’m not a fan of all the grays and beiges of today 😆 right now I’m working on a vanity in our bathroom that I’m painting green, not quite that mint green you see in vintage homes, more of a lime color. I also added some flowery contact paper to the side of the vanity! So fun 🌼

Not sure about the fairy lights. Everything else is pretty cohesive but the fairy lights are a bit tumblr-ish, they cheapen the space imo, which is a shame given how much effort was put into it.
Good thing it's not your kitchen. Lol
