Hi Danny Harmon, my grandson Cooper and I enjoy watching your channel alot. Cooper wanted me to leave this comment to let you know how much he loves you and that you are our favorite train watcher. 🙂 We are currently watching the "Trains Across The Interstate." Thank you for all the work you do to bring us the videos.
9:20 I always appreciate the side track discussions. Not all things needs to be about trains. You make us always comfortable about all new pit stops you find, and these restaurants may be handy to even all of us that are bored of what we have ❤
Ive noticed the Silver Meateors and Stars are returning to their pre-covid lengths recently, definitely a sign of the population boom in florida. Great video as always Dan!
What a great way to start the day, coffee and a Distant Signal video from Danny Harmon. Thanks Danny, another great video. Have a great Father’s Day Danny!
Every time I watch this channel I am amazed at the quality of the videos along with the commentary. Danny always makes me think of Bill Kurtis with the sound and overall quality of his voice.
Gotta give Danny all the credit for being a train video producer, I've watched other train videos, and none compare to his knowledge and know how to get around his area and find what he's looking for. If I ever get to Florida again, I would like to meet him and shake his hand for doing what he loves to do the best. I have learned so much from his videos that I go looking for things that he has talked about and see what's happening on the train lines myself. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching. Thanks Danny!
Another great video, with a wealth of information, and really cool drone footage! For me, being a comms. guy, the radio traffic is icing on the cake! Thanks Danny for all that you do, and HAPPY FATHER’s DAY!
Another great video. If you're ever in the PSL/Fort Pierce area, my father in law is pretty high up at FEC and can take you around almost wherever you'd like around the depot.
Danny I love how you showcase local restaurants in your videos Because of that my family has been able to replace Sonny’s (a pale imitation of its former self) with bubba Qs in Brandon and I’m sure soon we will have more family favorites Thanks for your insight on places we might otherwise overlook!
As someone who drives under this bridge everyday and drives as a delivery driver around Winston Yard's area these are my favorite videos, always interesting to hear about something so local
Really interesting video Danny, you make an excellent guide to railroads. Over in Europe a lot of passenger trains have articulated coaches, makes for a smoother ride, reduces maintenance, but the downside is that a defective coach cannot be removed from a train without a visit to the works!
16:00 458 axles minus 18 for the three locomotives leaves 440 for coal cars which is 110 coal cars. Back in 1980 when I worked at the old General Portland cement plant along Krome Avenus south of Tamiami Trail we used to burn just under 4 coal cars a day in our two kilns, so that train would have lasted a month. However, we used to get our coal deliveries every two weeks to minimize the time it sat exposed to rain.
Did you ever have problems with spontaneous combustion in the coal? I grew up near a cement plant just south of Hannibal, Missouri, and there were occasional fires where the coal was stored on the ground adjacent to the siding.
Danny, your videos are always a welcome sight in my feed! Thanks once again for such a high quality, well done, production. See you out there on the high iron!
I couldn’t wait to get home from work today, eat dinner and took a special time out of my day to watch Danny’s video!! I love all his videos can’t wait for some more!!
Greetings fellow Nebraskans! Bailey Yard is fantastic! Probably now a shadow of itself, but that view never gets old! Mister Harmon! If you come out this way, do give us a healthy heads up!!
I have mentioned before I don't really consider myself a "railfan" but your videos are of such fantastic quality I find them irresistible. The photography, production values and narration are just fantastic.
Amtrak's aging Genesis units....I must be getting old, it doesn't seem that long ago that you were excited to see one of the new Genesis units on the point!
Thanks Danny for the insight on the Articulate 3 & 5 unit cars with 1 truck on 2 units! I've noticed these on the CSX line where I grew up in Northeast Ohio Akron-Cuyahoga Falls, Munroe Falls-Kent/Ravenna area in Northeat Ohio.
Another great video Danny! I love the lunch stop visits and your take on the delicious food that you order. Bob Kozminski Railfan from Middleville, Michigan
Another great video Dan. Just a funny note. In the beginning when you were showing your fence, a dog was barking. My dog started barking too. Thought you'd find that funny.
As soon as I saw the title screen capture, I instantly said to myself 'awe man someone's getting a new double track bridge!' Love seeing railways upgrading their services and all; it's so cool to me.
Hey Danny I’ve been railfan ing in ny for all my 12 yrs and I’ve watched you ever year, all those “how to read csx signals” have paid off, I can tell everything and the speed, so thanks for the memories, I’ve watched you and hoped to meet you but, I’m in New York so it hard to do that kind of thing, any way have a good fathers day
Once again, Danny, I appreciate your visits to Polk County, my former home, and the Winter Haven Amtrak station. It still looks the same, and so does Lake Shipp!
Just don't park your car there overnight, come back with the frame only on blocks! I have caught the Amtrack north from there several times, it is a very quaint station and I do hope they repair it and upgrade it.
Hi Danny. That CSX sign is probably made out of Masonite. That's not going to last very long in the weather without a good coat of varnish. I think I'd try to mount it somewhere where it'll stay dry. Cheers!
Always a great day when Danny uploads a new video! Very knowledgeable when it comes to railroads. Definitely enjoy your videos especially when the drone is involved! Thanks again Danny for sharing your videos with us along with your PRICELESS time and effort! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware.
❤ I love all your videos and I always give you a thumbs up and if I could I give you a double thumbs up for a job well done FYI we're going to have commuter rail from Boston and New Bedford and sister city Fall River once it's running I'll be sure to mention that to you once again double thumbs up on your videos I love them all😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Most articulated intermodal cars do share trucks between the individual wells. However, there are quite a few 3-packs that are basically 3 individual cars that had their knuckle couplers replaced with solid drawbars. I have also seen a couple 2-pack intermodal flats. Some autoracks are also articulated, bit I don't work with them, so I don't know their details as well.
Excellent job Danny I always like to watch your videos when I come home from work and you did awesome Happy Father's Day from the Fawbush Family if Gate City VA Matthew says hi to you 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻 👋🏻
Great video as always! ^^ I grew up in this area and visit often so it's always great to hear how things are going. I was just talking with my parents this weekend as we went to Tampa about the train bridge under construction on I-4 in Lakeland.
Another episode of 'Danny's Good Food Guide' interrupted by the occasional train. Thanks Danny.
Haha! Thanks!
You support a lot of local, and mom n pop businesses. I do too, wish more people would. As always a vreat video.@@distantsignal

I love distant signal videos. Educational, informative and most of all, entertaining. Wish we had weekly DS videos.
Danny - you continue to be the Gold Standard for rail videos!

The drone work is first class. I see that you prefer quality to quantity. I really appreciate it. Story telling is also outstanding!!!

Seeing a new video from Danny H. really brightens my day. Such consummate professionalism and outstanding content.
One of my favorite things to do is sit on my porch with my morning coffee and watch a new video from Danny

That would be great!

When Danny comes on,., time to get the coffee and toast answer relax. Thanks for a great job again.😊
Appreciate it, Phil. I'm having toast and coffee as well... and some country sausage.
Those Siemens Charger locomotives are manufactured in my hometown of Sacramento! I even know some folks working there :)
Love these “day in the life of a railfan” style videos you make Danny 👌
Happy Father's Day Mr. Harmon. Great to watch one of your videos as I'm getting ready for church. Thank you.

Ha! Krome Avenue. That's a name you don't hear much today. I remember in 1980 it was in the news every day. "The Krome Avenue Detention Center"

Danny, I love watching your videos. I didn’t know articulated Intermodal units were counted as 1 car. Your vast knowledge of train amazes me.
He didn't mention it, but non-articulated, one-well cars exist, too.
The fence is glowing again. Nice drone work on the coal train. Clear as a bell

Amtrak's aging Genesis units....I must be getting old, it doesn't seem that long ago that you were excited to see one of the new Genesis units on the point!
