Let's not forget that the 3D printer also provides a way for you to make more content: like a video series of 3D printing repairs.. on the road! You know, I bet there's a bunch of vanlifers out there with specific needs.. It'd be cool to come up with solutions for your fellow traveler. Great video btw :)
3D printed repair video at a campground sounds awesome
Loving the van videos, can't wait to see more projects on the road.
Used to live in Las Cruces. The Organ Mountains could get very windy through the pass from the East. Traveled through highway 70 many times to Alamagordo. I hope you get to visit White Sands National Monument and also enjoy the great Mexican food. We experienced ballooning and became part of the chase crew. Lots of memories.
Wow. What a well-thought-out suite of tools you've managed to tuck away!! I saw a RUclips once where the couple equipped their rig with a steel "lock box" for expensive camera and computer equipment to (hopefully) minimize a horrible experience. Maybe worth a thought since you are not finished with the build yet. Safe travels around this amazing continent!
I am curious at no calipers within the list, did you use just the measuring tape for designing the new parts?
Calipers are there, I just forgot to mention them in the video!
if youre ever on the lookout to replace your driver, check out the milwaukee 12v fuel installation driver. Bit pricy but it's so incredible light and clips to the belt, you don't even feel the thing.
the set comes with extra chucks which allow 90 degree, offset and a drill chuck to be attached. If you wanna go even crazier, check out the AEG Omni Pro. 7 head multitool that does reciprocating saw, jigsaw, multitool, angle driver, dremel, ratchet and angle drill all on battery. Might be worth it for the van!
I might have missed it, but if you don't have it already Milliput putty resin is great for fixing literally everything. Plumbers pipes, anything plastic, it sets when wet, it bonds practically any two things together, fills small holes, you can even use it like clay to create a replacement component part, it sets rock solid, handles heat well too.
I have JB Weld high heat epoxy putty, is it similar stuff?
@@MorleyKert I would say milliput has a higher durability but it’s hard to beat the cure time of JB Weld
@@MorleyKert JB Heatweld is far better for items that get quite hot, it can stand much higher temperatures than Milliput. Which one you'd want to use depends on use, Milliput doesn't shrink as much. Milliput is also completely fine touching things that come into contact with food and water. JB are wishy washy on whether or not they're always food safe. They're usually rated toxic until fully cured, which they say needs to be at least 24 hours.
Oh man!Thats some great ideas! Thanks
I love the van, but I'll stick with my homemade slide-in camper. It gives me two vehicles in one. A simple unload and I've got a pickup. I sure do like your not having to get out of the vehicle to get into the living quarters.
Hello again, Ontario Morley from Nova scotia Morley. 😃
amazing how much you've stored. great planning and priceless to be able to solve problems as you go
You guys are crazy, I love it!
For the hole saw/getting to your ground strap, check out Rivnuts sometime. Ive used them for grounds in cars without issue. Its like a rivet but threaded like a nut. So you can have a threaded spot to put a bolt anywhere you want
Your tool picks seem well curated. And like you said, good news is you have a van, so if you need something else you can just drive to any shop and borrow/rent tools!! Also, I thought those were the Las Cruses mountains, but you didnt mention it and I was sad. At the end you did and it made me happy for recognizing them lol!!
I agree with you 100 percent. Peter in Palm Beach
Would love to see more vlogs on your travels even if its infrequent like once a month to see where you have been.
Milwaukee bits suck for drilling, and I LOVE Milwaukee tools. I have found that the Harbor Frieght Warrior Cobalt bits are longest lasting and strongest bits I have ever used.
You need to get yourself a m18 track saw! It takes up less space then that of a mitre saw/ table saw and you get the same versatility (almost) for cordless router/ planer you almost should go bosht 18v just surely for the design and small form factor! Love your stuff guys keep em coming ❤️
the nice thing about a track is that it doesn't take up much space.
Love your videos, Morley. Greets from Germany
Thanks for watching!
Awesomesauce video!!
Quick tip: Did you know you can mount your oscillating blade at 90° for an even tighter space.
Caffeinator out.
Have you thought about larger tyres and better springs? That Rig would be better suited this way.
Nice video as always!
Why do you have like a whole box of bits for philips screwheads 😂😂
Haha because for some reason the manufacturers decide to include 20 Philips bits in a bit kit 😂🤷♂️
Bro is ready for Zombie Epocalypse
Who is Tal?
NOICE Title 👌
hey Morley! isn't it a bit dangerous to have that propane tank all closed up inside that box? thinking of leakes and stuff like that
On that note, standard RV equipment is a propane detector. Some of them I think are also propane / CO detectors. Must have.
Also, any space that holds propane should be ventilated at the bottom. Propane is heavier than air and will gather in low spaces, being that the battery system is at the same level, it would be very wise to vent the propane compartment to the outside.
It is a sealed box that is vented to the underside of the van. We also have a propane detector, smoke detector and CO detector. Nice and safe
@@MorleyKert oh neat! that's a relief 😅
Also, happy to build what you need and ship it to you in the CON US 48 if needs arise.
Are you guys going to Arizona? Prescott or flagstaff are beautiful cities
One question how do you guys recive your packages like where do you pick them up from?
It’s pretty easy, we just ship them to friends/family along our route.
Nice
I'm from Brazil, and I always wonder why the heck it is called "duck tape"? 😂 Now I realized it is "duct tape". Make so muck sense now kkk
No; it started in WWII as a waterproof tape for canvas duck tarps.
It’s extra confusing because “duck tape” is a brand of duct tape
@@MorleyKert DUCK tape!
Hahaha las crucas. It’s las cruces. Great place make sure to visit old mesilla
I even practiced the pronunciation 😂😭😭
What security have you put in place to prevent break ins? You can't rely on the van alarm with so much valuable gear inside!
For now, it’s mostly situational/behavioural solutions, not technological. If we’re in a city, only park in well trafficked areas, take valuables with us, put up window covers. We’ll probably add some security features eventually.
Butyl tape is pronounced "Bew-tull", for future reference, Morley. Good selection of tools and repair supplies, btw.
quick edit: Suggestion for two more tools to add: Regular and needlenose vice grip wrenches. Working on a vehicle, you'll need them.
Thanks for watching!
I have a complete commercial wood shop in Delaware if you need anything on the east coast. Holler.
nice
I love my Shaper Origin but that’s a big systainer and the Plate or Workstation or the jigs you would need to build, would take up a lot of space
Yeah, I’d love to get one but might need to add some external storage first
Do you sell any of the 3D printed stuff or can custom make anything? I need some stuff for my van 😂 and it’s pronounced Loss Crew-sis 😅
nice 😉
Can you print while driving?
Yep! Showed it in my last video.
Wondered where those wrenches went!
😂😂 sorry!
Incredibly
Can you share the stl for the laptop holder please?
I put it on printables - www.printables.com/model/672784-wall-mounted-laptop-holder-fits-16-macbook-pro
they have a new battery now for the m18 stuff that is smaller and same capacity that they call a forge batterie.
Printing projects for the interior of a vehicle out of PLA is a mistake. Use Bambu Lab PAHF-CF or PET-CF.
I primarily use PETG
you have forgotten your patron link :)
Hit the character limit in the description 😂
When you use tin snips for wire cutting, a machinist loses his wings.....
Why?
@@MorleyKert I dunno, I've had sheet metal guys go off on a rant about it to me, apparently it can lead to notches in the blades I guess? Thanks for the great videos!
@@cdibona I can't imagine copper wire will damage steel snips, but I could see that being a problem with steel cable!
What about water collection and filtration?
We have a 25 gallon water tank that we fill with taps
This is waaay too much tool weight for the end of the world. You can only get away with this because you are close to a gas station 😂
You forgot to patch the plate number of the van.

Liked, shared and commented.🍻🗽🤴🏻 20:18
We all know all you need is a Phillips and flathead screwdriver wd40 and duct tape
Nice title
relay cool thumbnail
You're right! Lubricants are so important when you live with your wife!
I've lived in "Las Crusas" since 1998 or 99 when I was just 4, and I've never heard it pronounced like that. I don't know the origin of the name "Las Cruces" or "the crosses," but I'm hoping I can get the hell out of this state of poverty (land of entrapment, not enchantment)
I think one of the tapes you should add to your collection is nanotape. It is really strong, doesn't take paint off, and I have found a ton of uses for it.
I’ll check it out, thanks!
end of the world it would be hard to find spools of filament lol
Just gotta find the right warehouses 😉
I just joined your Patreon and would like to invite you to visit my shop anytime. I have a full woodworking shop with all the traditional woodworking tools plus a Onefinity Elite CNC w/ATC spindle, 100watt Thunder Laser and of course a X1-Carbon combo. If you are ever in the Appalachian Mountains... I live on the tip top in North Carolina. My shop is about 1/2 mile from the Appalachian Trail in what is known as the Roan Highlands.
Stop in anytime... the shop is yours for whatever you need.

well hi
well a good toy for people who can protect it from marauders... its the end of the world! Better accept it than try to survive it... people will get far more merits than those who accepts it supposing the end of the world will happen on their lifetime.
If people understand how the world works? They wont prepare for the world to end... since the world is way more than what people like to suppose what it is.
its a commercial in diy business... and the end of the world theme is already a strong theme to sell all most anything
@@crispy_orb i know but that is now a fashionable theme! It has its uses nevertheless!

where do you sleep?
The dinette area folds down into our bed (we sleep horizontally)
I sleep in a racecar… do YOU sleep in a racecar?
I just feel like the title is off. This wasn't so much about actual "survival" gear as it was about maintenance / upgrade tools for the van and creating conveniences / extra space. I'm probably saying this wrong. First time viewer. When I think of "69 Tools for The End of The World" .. oscillating mult-tools, pocket hole jigs, and countersink bit sets (etc) aren't a part of my equation.
