  • These days right here are probably the most stressful set of days that we've had to deal with so far. Thursday was relatively fine, nice and normal as I was working on code and sorting out videos, until the night time when I took Laura to the Hospital to get them to look at her leg.
She's been having some strange leg pains recently and it was getting worse and worse, so we went to the hospital and they thought it might be DVT so we got a hospital appointment for the next day!
We both booked off sick and then I took Lau there, turns out after a long ass day, that she has a minor blood clot in her leg. She has medicine for it now and she is on the mend, but it was pretty stressful!
We have a check up coming up soon, but we'll deal with that as we can. Otherwise though, we had a normal weekend, trying to get back to normal. So we went shopping, got some work done and even went to the gym.
The more normal the better apparently!
That's about all, so thanks for watching and/or reading the description!
    I'll catch you later!

I'm glad Laura is getting better! Sounds like you made the right decision to get it checked out in the middle of the night.

I definitely did, but I've been told not to say I told you so :D

This was a bit of a rollercoaster with regard to Laura. Rather than experiencing the progression in semi-realtime we got it all at once. I was very worried about her and then suddenly relieved (though I remain reasonably concerned). I am glad her situation is better understood and is being treated in a way that is likely to be curative. I wish Laura a swift and thorough recovery.
With regard to pain pills, if you mean narcotic pain pills please be very careful. I once worked with someone who had a car accident. She was given narcotic pain pills for back pain. She became addicted and it ruined her life. She lost her job, marriage and was in a very bad place for years. Doctors will legally prescribe very addictive drugs. When I had narcotic pain pills for my post wisdom tooth extraction I used them very sparingly so as to reduce the chance of me becoming dependent upon them.
I like your Herron. Thanks for the update.
I am impressed by your run. You inspire me to keep pushing. There is a 5k in my city in the spring. I used to have to work at it, but now I am thinking I may try to run it. I may never be a good runner, but I'd like to work on trying to become a less bad runner. Running is difficult for me, but it feels good having ran. This week I should try to do 2 miles, maybe not for speed but just to work on my endurance.
I am now working on a stock monitor program to track my investments. I mostly designed it while I was taking a shower. It is fun having a new problem to solve. I have many pieces working, I just need to handle more input files and add a UI.

I don't know why I haven't replied to this, sorry!
She is much better now, so all is good, - I'm not sure if this style video is good for this stuff, but we shall see! Luckily they aren't narcotic pain killers, just normal ones (which a week later she has finished anyway).
I'm going to try and get faster for those 30 minutes, see if I can hit 7ish km in that time? Who knows!
