The Zoom multistomp has very good effects but sucks the octave, even the bass octave that comes in other Zoom multieffects. I own some Zoom multieffects ( B3, B3n and Ms60B) and still can't get a decent octave out of them. I got a TCs Sub n' Up to do the job. I think the Ricochet has a decent octave. I might get one one of this days. BTW I liked what you did to your multistomp, to access the other pedals you have in the chain. That gave me some ideas to use with my own stomp.
Yeah, I'm not crazy about the octave effect on the Zoom for practical octave uses. But I sometimes used it for that uber digital sound if I wanted that effect. The Ricochet is by far the best for the upper octave. It does the best polyphony/chords. I wasn't too crazy about the Sub'n Up overall but it's a very popular one. My favorite lower octave right now is actually Source Audio's Spectrum, which their C4 also has the same effect. It has the best tracking, got beef to it, and can imitate that OC2 fairly well!
@@randelj Oh man, you're in a for a treat! So far it's my favorite octave pedal (I have the Spectrum). The C4 has everything the Spectrum has, but even more!
Great demo! Hard to beat the Zoom MS-60B for the versatility of one pedal. Of course, always hard to just have one. Bass on! Man!
For Bass players' - the Boss OC5 (2020) and OC2 are still No.1 for this type of sound. Great demo! 👍
They sure are! I dug both of them but kept the OC2 just because ;)
Very nice comparison video! The poly option I believe is for chords so you can't really tell without doing some chords on the bass.

@@yuichituba the SA C4! I have that one as well but haven't had the time to explore it. Good to know it come with an octave.

Great demo man. Thanks!
Coo, thanks man! Thanks for watching.
Ricochet for octave up and OC-5 for down
If you put Ricochete in monophonic mode it is much better on bass.
Zoom The Best!!!!❤️
