That being said. Bungie promised 10 years of Destiny. I think Final Shape, were it the finale would be 11 years.

The fact that they chose to continue after TFS is what's infuriating
@dropkickpherby6994I think most people wouldn't be complaining if they actually stuck to it and finished with Final Shape. Them starting a whole new saga with the nine gave people the expectation of a new big story, right now they started it and then it just abruptly stopped, that feels bad.

It’s not that foreign of an idea, I think it was either cod black ops 2 or 3 which had a weapon kill tally on the side of the gun if you prestiged it enough. If you picked up someone’s weapon when had that prestige tally counter you’d see how many kills they’ve had with the weapon. I’d imagine there’s something similar going on behind the hood here.

@pseudo_flame5424The universe can easily be expanded upon. There's still loads to tell stories about -- and what they've been expanding upon is "The Nine" who are sort of cosmic forces represented by different planets in our system.
Biggest issue is that the story of the Witness should have ended alongside the game as they got to work on another IP.

@LSCryptoFormation tarkov got wipe every 6 months because the devs are lazy bums and had no competition. Extraction shooters are now in mainstream big leagues. Watch Tarkov be forgotten and abandoned like PUBG is now.

They did acknowledge it was widely asked for so hopefully we do get it soon. I didn't have too much trouble killing trios with my duo though
I guess it is not in already because they didnt know if they had enough players at launch that they are able to split them even more. Now they have some stats and they said they will probably add it

Red items means it's compromised and you lose it on extract.
It's like raid keys in arena breakout or boss universal keys in delta force.

Me too. Being able to take high ground in unexpected ways with grapple will be amazing, searching buildings for hiding players with the drone, scouting zones, finding good loot with the visor as well as hacking enemies… can’t wait

I don’t think rooks should queue on ranked bc then there would be no reason for them to do regular matches when they can potentially get better stuff from ranked
Ranked queue requires a minimum level of loot so unlikely rooks will drop into itn

@HyperspaceSlothrook can only use the same kit with the shitty pistol and a green backpack, the backpack is good for free but your character is garbage and meant just for looting vs UESC
also rooks get put into lobbies where there are teams no matter what
if you want a truly solo run then you have to get a regular shell and use your own stuff or a sponsored kit

They need to give weapon/shell cosmetics that you get to keep to "flex" for doing the hardest content, if you have a runner shell with like a season 1 cryo skin or whatever, that's not only a sick flex but something to chase every season
I think cosmetics will stay and won't be removed during a wipe... From my understanding it'll just be all loot, upgrades etc

Cosmetics will always remain through Season wipes and I imagine they will exist for Cryo and for Ranked seasonal accomplishments.

@JosephPennington-g9eI mean when it comes to cosmetics for sure. There’s not much other cosmetics that are exclusive or shown all the time. Don’t know why it’s funny lol.
@JosephPennington-g9e tell me something else in the game right now that I cant either A) Swipe for, or B) Go earn right now. 99% of armor is earnable, even old season pass ornaments. Old chase weapons can just be bought from the vendors and Xur often has rolls of additional old "unobtainable" weapons.
Emblems from moments that happened in the past like when lord of wolves was busted and lobbies just turned into everyone running them and when Trace Rifles were so busted it was literally laser tag.
There is only a few "you actually cant get this anymore" cosmetics besides emblems in the game now and it's stuff like Sagira's ghost shell, a couple emotes, and cosmetics from old removed raids.
Did anybody else extract while in a downed state during the Server Slam? There was an achievement for that.

You cant have people hoarding gear forever, the game would get boring so fast. Resetting is actually super fun to me. Gives me a reason to run my juiciest stuff back to back without fear, knowing it will be gone soon anyway.

Imagine a pve related space with beserk enemies in a raidlike fashion with 5 others 👁️👄👁️ 4 encounters with all your best loot accumulated over a specific time frame
I also pictured a mode where you have a "PvE phase" with a scripted 3v3 at the end. 2 sets of 2 teams.
Then the winners of those phases go to the next phase that ISNT scripted.

This is a suggestion Ive seen a few times and I am so on board with. A practice range that's got some targets and a bit of an obstacle course so we can get a feel for the Shells and their abilities as well as the weapons

You’ll never be able to fully get things from traders. The point is to keep progressing per wipe to make dying slightly less painful. Still gonna suck ass to lose all your stuff as you can’t buy everything back. And money is not abundant
When you start out in extraction shooters mats and resources are hard to obtain, you're limited to the gear you buy from the traders so when you die with a loadout you like its more impactful -making you want to play smarter.
As the wipes/seasons progress your over all characters progression does as well, you're able to obtain gear you want easier via the traders or crafting, your character is actually stronger via the upgrades and you're more likely fighting consistently in the harder zones, at this point dying doesn't feel as rough.
it is a genuine progression - every step you climb on the ladder your lowest low gets just a bit higher. its like this In Tarkov, Arc Raiders, ABI, even the single player counter parts such as Escape from duckov, or Zero Sievert - it's a pretty common staple of the genre.

@bleakpbut how many hours did you have in the server slam? 😂 if you had that in 8 hours total that’s one thing but if you had 20-30 hours and that’s what you ended with then that’s normal. People who can pump hours into anything will have better outcomes

As the seasons go on and people upgrade various factions, the value of the loot is going to go up overall so when you start fresh youd be likely to get good loot again pretty fast from pvp

Definitely. I played the server slam primarily solo and got pretty close to finishing only playing 6 or so hours a day on the weekend.
I’m mostly a solo player. I’ve managed to kill the boss in perimeter whilst killing 3 runners. but I haven’t fully attempted the lockdown in dire marsh. It’s definitely doable, just gotta lock in

I don’t have any friends on ps5 but I only played solo either fill or no fill but mostly fill but I’ve met quite w few ppl willing to do stuff and we were taking out hordes of bots and communicating ammo etc.

As someone who's played Tarkov for like 7 years and has almost 2000 hours, I think you have it backwards.
It's not that we love the start of a wipe and the zero to hero, it's that we hate playing against no lifers who just roll on everyone and who have the best of everything at the end of the wipe. Playing against hose guys sucks so much, really ruins the experience for the normal player who has a life outside of gaming.
The wipe allows us to be on an even playing field against them for once in the season, we can beat them on skill, rather than their rat nature hoarding things over months.

That’s just how extractions work. They are simply taking advantage of that rule and adding more content for free with no seasonal purchase. Seems like a win, win to me.
