If you watch closely, you can see the swords making sparks, so he's actually slicing bullets, but you can also see blood spatters from his body, so the sliced bullets are still hitting him. He's not utterly failing... just moderately failing.
Rewatched that part at slow speed. Looks to me like he sliced the first bullet and blocked the first few bullets and then he was just getting sparks and the bullets were flying through him. Still love a good jab at origins though lol

All I see is the one line about Thanos that may actually be just a trailer exclusive line, like what they did in the trailers for the 1st movie. If you're counting the "DC universe" reference as 4th wall breaking, then what about all the times Spider-man was referenced on the CW's DC shows like Legends of Tomorrow? They name-dropped Spider-man and his Spider-sense so many times, it's like they're getting paid by Marvel or something.

And that spider-man thing was most likely a coincidence because DC would never want to advertise their competitor’s newest movie.
Come'on kids, don't fight! Both DC and MCU have had their own dark moments! Batman's always been dark, and Superman turned pretty evil too when Lois died... But I grew up with the Age of Apocalypse arc, the Sentry, and Onslaught. Both universes can get seriously dark at times!

This is common in the film business. Executives want a trailer they can put out and often ask for one before the final cut is finished. They basically just put together a bunch of clips from shooting that make the movie look good. There's a chance they could be cut later.
Elisha Taieb Well we got stuck with Zack Snyder. Also Dark Knight is seriously overrated. People act like it’s Kill Bill or The Godfather. It’s good but Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart are the best part about the film everything else is just okay. Logan was way better with the realistic tone. Nolan wouldn’t even be making movies like Dark Knight now especially not movies that aren’t just trilogies. He’s not a fan of these cinematic universes and rather focus on stand alone films. I doubt WB wouldn’t be interfering with the films anyway so even if Nolan directed the films WB would still get in the way just like they have with the past films.

This is common in the film business. Executives want a trailer they can put out and often ask for one before the final cut is finished. They basically just put together a bunch of clips from shooting that make the movie look good. There's a chance they could be cut later.

Elisha Taieb Well we got stuck with Zack Snyder. Also Dark Knight is seriously overrated. People act like it’s Kill Bill or The Godfather. It’s good but Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart are the best part about the film everything else is just okay. Logan was way better with the realistic tone. Nolan wouldn’t even be making movies like Dark Knight now especially not movies that aren’t just trilogies. He’s not a fan of these cinematic universes and rather focus on stand alone films. I doubt WB wouldn’t be interfering with the films anyway so even if Nolan directed the films WB would still get in the way just like they have with the past films.
