Im not giving up 4 years of account progress on the current version. Once the OG version of the game is done, and all focus moves to Companions, I'll be saying goodbye to AFK and will be moving elsewhere.
Please just don't force every new player to start out with Companions. Even returning players are confused because all their progresses seem to be lost. Just give the new players the option to choose between Classic and Companions when they first enter the game.
For anyone wondering, it's the equivalent of a vanilla afk arena from years ago with additions inspired by afk journey. The idea is sound, but the end result isn't that great. I personally did the beta then played the regular game for a month before calling it quits. I quickly lost interest after I reached resonance 260 and first place on my server. No money spent, no good incentives to do so, so no harm done. The normal game has more content and is generally more interesting, even as a beginner. I sure hope they don't try to force this onto everyone, although I doubt they will because the beast system is radically different. (No resonance per se.) That's just my honest opinion. I've been playing afk arena since 2001 and afk journey since day one.
@@Renikee because they chose the wrong game at startup. I bought a new phone last week and after reinstalling, I got the prompt. Which wasn't the case in September when I had to reinstall for another reason, back then I was put into Companions by default.
I agree; it has been years as a F2P to painfully invest on my Heroes, and I refuse to restart all over to Day One 😤🤔 I will stay on the Classic and keep building my Heroes 😉✌️

Just a new server. Basically the game before engraving, furniture, dragons. You can also use your friend's heroes (hence Companions). Fun at first, but now it's just another alt account for me

From what I hear, new players are put into a Companions server by default
@Trixie_Lavender not exactly, the game asks you which version you want to use. At one point in September though, it would do like you said.
