  • We've always taken the meat off the ribs but have never cut and hauled out the entire rack of ribs of an elk. We finally got our chance and threw them on the Camp Chef.

You can start your elk ribs in the oven on low with apple sider vinegar. Then finish them on the smoker with sauces. Just a friend from Montana love you guys!! Great bull!!

Casey try the 3 2 1 method. 3 hours at 250, 2 hours wrapped in tinfoil with bbq sauce, 1 hour with foil off just to firm back up!

That skin/membrane on the inside also needs to come off as well as the silver skin. The beginning this video was my favorite of the series when your daughter drilled that elk. What the heck I am going back and watch it again. Later. keep up the great work guys.

I cooked moose ribs 425 deg for 1hr 20 min in big foil roasting pan with 1/2 inch water covered and then put on grill cooked till meat was back up bone and then sauced with bbq that has no high fructose corn syrup (key so doesn't burn). Best game ever ate.

I love elk meat but I usually leave the ribs for the coyotes. Mostly because I'm usually by myself and it's just too heavy to pack out by myself. I also cut the legs off at the knee cap no sense in packing out hooves😕 although I could watch the beginning of this video with you and brailey spending that special moment together over and over again! Good stuff Casey👍 OH and congrats on your win for the 2020 Easter egg shootout with Logan 👊😎🇺🇸

You hit the nail on the head....smoke mine for 3 hrs at 200-225, then put them in tinfoil with some liquid and steam them for another 2 hrs at 225, then open them back up for an hour. Also, always remove that back side membrane. Love your videos!

  • @BeefDog666

  • @_jurist

I’ll bet it still tasted good but, you should’ve cut them smaller, and cook them longer, wrapped in tinfoil with a little bit of, Worchester shire sauce, so that they would slowly braise in that heat, A few onions and some garlic in there with it too. And then once it’s to the point where you can turn them ribs inside of the meat, take it off and put it on that smoker for about a half an hour to an hour.
Make my mouth water just thinking about it.
