If you want to check out another video about Hermitcraft, look no further! ruclips.net/video/jI6xHLDZPEs/видео.html Also: music and other attributions can be found here: pastebin.com/kmWNvNUX (sorry for the random super loud music track i completely didn't notice because i finished editing this at like 2am)
From season 3 it was always 2 new ones at the start with the most recent being season 8 with Geminitay and Pearlscentmoon. And sometimes in the middle of the long season a returning hermit shows back up or a third new one
It would be interesting if they banned flying, and built a Train system with the Creative trains, on a schedule and used the trains to get around, and expand etc. Tunneling / track laying trains, Transport trains for materials, and Passenger Trains for the Hermits to get around. I think that could be cool, as a viewer anyway, where i get to see the edited, finished product after all the waiting is cut out. lol
The hermitcraft server isn’t ABOUT getting better and more intense every year. This season many hermits voiced their feelings of insecurity due to this expectation. I am really hoping this season will be a period of R&R for the hermits to work on fun, smaller builds, that they can spend more intricate time with.
Agreed! Id like to see them keep it simple, much like tango said, less mega, more social. Maybe risk losing some viewers at the benefit of keeping their sanity. Escslating further would move them into a dead end and i think that would be very unfortunate
Since Season 10 is the first double digit season I feel like they’re gonna try and make it way bigger and better but afterwards I definitely see them backing off to have a more chill season
You can get bigger and more intense without sacrificing well being. Longer seasons means more time to take off and relax for extended periods. I hope that both can happen!
For real. I don't watch Hermitcraft for cray, intense builds, I watch for the person. My favorite Hermit is Bdubs and obviously he can make some pretty impressive builds, but I watch his videos for him and his personality at the end of the day.
A bunch of Hermits have said that for season 10 they don't plan on doing any megabases, but instead will focus on smaller builds. Both Grian and Cleo have actively said they want to build smaller things than this season. And both want make places alive. Mumbo said something akin to not wanting bigger projects, but building smaller stuff when inspiration strikes. Impulse, Gem, and Pearl have said they'd like to blend bases with people in general again. But seeing how Impulse also didn't have inspiration/motivation towards the end, he'll likely also try something less ambitious. Tango has voiced wanting to do more co-op redstone projects, and likely won't build anything like the size of the citadel again. And wants to focus on unique farms for some of next season. Iskall has voiced not wanting to do mega-builds, and proposed a similar approach as Mumbo & Grian, namely making smaller projects when he has inspiration, with less planning. So yeah... A lot of hermits seem to have voiced not wanting to go bigger, but instead smaller.
bruh if all the hermits work together for one gianormous build then imagine basicly so many farms that they have like creative mode in mc. or so many build its like an industrial city. it could be larger than greenville
This is just the feeling i got from grian's last episode when he was looking at Gem's, Impulse's and Pearl's bases, he seemed to be very excited by the idea of those 3 bases just blending into each other and telling a story. It was really impressive to look at as well
My takeaway was that he recognized his own distractions from the task of building on the server for the real world task of running the storylines and other behind the scenes stuff. He’s amazing, but at some point he may retire or go on an extended holiday like Mumbo. And really now, what grown up person works at the same job for a decade? When the time comes for Grian to retire from making HC videos in order to work behind the scenes as a full-time producer…well I hope the fandom can let him go with grace.
@@georginatoland I love Grian's content, but I'd be ok with him going behind the scenes so long as he does Stan Lee type cameos. But part of Hermitcraft's charm is that even though there's a lot of storylines all the Hermits have their own thing going on and that allows spontaneity which I think is integral to the server. They are after all Hermits.
@@georginatoland Agree with what you said, except for one small note (which isn't really relevant for your post, but still irked me kind of): "what grown up works at the same job for a decade?" Every grown up that wants to have a stable income? This might be a cultural / regional thing, but where I live people tend to keep their jobs - switching every single decade would kind of imply you being unstable and/or unable to keep a job properly. 😉
@@LiesethePrincess So did I. Other bases on other servers may have had one feature that was "Bigger or Better", but the sheer scope, complexity, and detail all built into this single construction is INSANE!!!
I mean who wouldn’t recognize that as the best? Like I’m not even a hardcore minecraft enjoyer and I’m all giddy and excited about it. It’s absolutely incredible and I did not even know half the things he did with it are possible with vanilla minecraft. Plus Tango’s dedication to making it throughout the entire season is just unmatched.
In Gem's last stream she also says that she loved the starting area and that having to move out to build your main base somewhere else isn't fun for her. I think that adds to the "country road" theory!
in her stream she said she hated the starter area 😅 that she preferred just being able to start her main base and not having a whole base in another area
@@kkio. both are true in a sence... she said she hated the starting area only because it was a bit cramped and mainly because she had to move. She didn't like that she had to abandon builds she had already built and rebuilt old infrastructure, like a brewing setup.
One button lead to the entire perimeter being covered and a giant egg dragon in the sky 🤣🤣 This shows how much potential grian or any other hermitcrafter have when motivated
I would prefer a "Boatem style town" to something like a "Hermitopia". Like a huge town with all differnet bases built close together and connected with an infractructure. Like a shopping district, but much bigger.
grian also seemed really into this idea in his finale episode when talking about the soup group's s9 base, he said he'd love to build collaboratively and closely like they did
Just because elements of the server are the same between seasons doesn't mean the hermits are running out of ideas. I think that their unique styles when it comes to crafting a part in a story lend a hand to why people often end up in similar roles. Take Grian always starting conflict for example- it's not because he's out of ideas, it's because he's naturally suited to creating chaos and thrives as a hermit and creator best when friendly rivalry is happening. Part of the beauty of hermitcraft is that the hermits don't seem to need grand plans when they go into seasons beyond megabase ideas and a general plan for their first few episodes- the storylines that do show up evolve naturally over time because the hermits are extraordinarily good at taking an idea and running with it.
Yeah, I agree with you completely. A lot of hermits fit different story roles super well. Doc is a fantastic villain, ren is great at roleplay, grian is good at creating non-hurtful conflict, etc.
I believe they haven't officially announced any casting changes for season 10 as of yet. Aside from the late Tinfoil Chef whom will probably still be with them in spirit and maybe have a new memorial monument.
Hermits basing together or close by (like the soup group from S9) is something I love watching; it would actually be funny and pretty dang awesome if they decided to all collaborate on one like your theory
id bet literally anything that skizzleman is the new member. theres been alot of people gunning for him lately (namely impulse) and i mean he's already basically an honorary hermit at this point. he's friends with like half the server
You were sorta right, with there being magic mountain and the neighborhood. But Doc, being himself, was just like, 'nah, imma do my own thing' and went to live in the swamp.
Which i think keeps with their whole bibe. Freedom to go off if you don't wanna join in but plenty of collab points The blaar from the past sure came true tho
While I have hear some of the hermits talk about how cool it would be to have one base together I have also heard others say they want to downsize away from mega bases and build highly detailed smaller ones or even take the Empires rout by making a large area out of many smaller buildings. So I don't think everyone is going to be onboard with this idea and I am not sure it is a fully fleshed out plan yet.
It still works though - even better really, because the people who want to pull back from the pressure of making their own megabase would be able to tackle the smaller projects they have said they want to do! I've just realised that in Beef's last video he said he wants to spend a lot more time with other hermits and push himself to not be such a loner. Gosh, this is really all fitting together.
I'd say we're looking at a season 4 scenario, in which they each build smaller builds around a central point that contribute to a greater civilization-type thing. Granted, numerous hermits also had builds away from that region, but there was a lot of collaboration between others towards building this sort of western Americana frontier town.
It'll be a mix of everything as usual, people seem to forget there's 9 seasons of data on what the Hermits have gone through, know what works, know what doesn't and talk about what they prefer. People like Cleo who mainly works on armor stands likes building projects with people so she can focus on that, Scar and Grian always have a mega base project they want to build out while RPing, Xisuma doesn't like the RP story stuff or people encroaching on eachother when they have built close previously etc etc. More than likely season 10 will be similar to 9 where you have groups and singular people doing what works for them because...well they just had their most successful season doing that where everyone seemed happy about it so no need to change it unless it wasn't already working.
I think realistically, it's only a matter of time before someone like Skizz or Smallishbeans will join the server, they're some of the best friends from current members. And i think the life series proved they will attract the audiences as well.
It probably won't be one big base considering Doc's tweet that said group projects are great but hurt "smaller members" thus individual projects are very important. They definitely going to be based closer than past seasons. Something like starter village but instead of just for starter house, it continues that way the whole season? No idea how they're going to manage the lag tho.
Some lovely ideas here. Country Road is very exciting. I personally wouldn't want things like create and other mods to be added. As someone who only really knows vanilla, I think what they could do in create wouldn't be appreciated as much because there isn't as much understanding of what's achievable with those sorts of mods. I'm also very excited to see the new people if there are any. Maybe it's a bit of a long shot, but I'd love to see phoenixsc join the server
Phoenix would be so out of left field. He's an accomplished mapmaker and obviously the command block 🐐, but he doesn't play survival. That said: fully support, especially if Hermitcraft were looking to move in a new direction.
As someone who recently took up create, I think it can be appreciated even easier by a general audience (esp. non Minecraft or non redstone folks) simply because everything works the way it looks. For many people, Redstone is mystical and requires advanced knowledge of circuitry and wiring to fully understand and appreciate. Create mod on the other hand, makes it simple to understand why things are happening. But that said: Hermit craft is a vanilla server and so I doubt it would happen...
The Hermits aren't running out of ideas, they just like specific storyline and like to do them again. Everybody liked the button so Mumbo did it as a refresh after his bream. Prank wars happen every season and the perimeter war was relatively small. And there's no chance of having mods, that's the reason spinoffs happen.
I feel like Mogswamp would actually be a really good new member for the server. He's family friendly, a great builder, and he already has a big audience
not disagreeing that he'd be a great addition, but does he really know anyone on the hermitcraft server? from what i've seen every new member has had some connection to at least one other player on the server before joining (like grian and pearl for example)
I’m just wondering if maybe having to do hermit craft would detract from the effort he can put into his super flat world. I think he’s be a great addition to the server, I just don’t know if he can sustain both hermitcraft and superflat survival at a reasonable level of quality.
Sadly they didn’t do it in Season 10x but maybe they’ll do it in the future (I still hope they do a cool collab build for the magic mountain people in season 10)
If they do the unified base style I feel it might benefit to be like the soup gangs area where they were kind of liked together despite being so different, I also believe that this style would work particularly well with the hermits that like building dynamic custom biomes which would help to spread everyone out.
I’d love to see Skizz join HC. He’s never been a mega build type of player but I think if it’s more of a country roads type of season, he absolutely could fit in. Hes such a great personality and already is very integrated within the community. Joel and Lizzie are pretty big members of Empires and if they left their server it would be pretty disappointing to fans of empires. But skizz isn’t apart of any big server already. He’s be a great candidate
Yeah Joel seems like the type who might do both, like Gem does. His builds in Empires are always absolutely insane, so it might be a bit toned down, but I think he could do both. (That is- IF there’s more Empires, which I’m not sure of the likelihood of)
I think Soup Group base is the model they're looking to explore more next season, maybe not a single server megabase, but rather connected but separate builds. Tiny map Hermitcraft, almost. "More interactions", "focus on social content", "spending time with my friends", those are the things that are universal in their plans for next season.
Country road seems amazing! I don't think they'll have lag issues because if they can do Deck Out then they can handle anything! I think Skizz is joining my few reasons why is 1. Skizz has been collabing a lot with Hermits 2. Cleo said she really misses Skizz (my thought was oh he didn't have to go) also other hermits like false said something similar and she just met him once I believe. 3. When Impulse said some new hermits are joining he got very very happy for a quick second (that man can not tell a lie!)
i think they will all either use the experimental features for the next update like the crafter or prepare for it. When they do have the crafter, they will build insane farms and storage systems. I can only imagine what the redstoners and gamebreakers like Doc will do with the crafter! :)
@@michaelelischer1565 I doubt that, the next update will probably still be a couple months away. With the features already being available through the experiments they might be able to start with them. I don't know if they will change the crafter much more so any build they put it in will probably still work when the update finally comes out
@@toamastar yeah but usually it takes a while for a new season to start up for setup reasons. Season 9 isn’t even finished yet, probably won’t for another few weeks or even a month. I think it’s reasonable to assume they will start season 10 after 1.21 is out. Playing with experimental features can also lead to data corruption which doesn’t seem like something xisumavoid would want to deal with.
@@michaelelischer1565huh? Hermits are releasing end of the season videos left right and center. Some are still in post production, but the server has in fact shut down and the word download is available. Hermits are on a break and will be back with a new Season early in 2024.
it wouldn't really be a surprise if the Empire SMP members decide to merge with Hermitcraft and retain that name, in addition, to have Skizzleman and maybe someone else join, to have a massive server that can have multiple stories going on at the same time, like FWhip and Sausage can do their own thing and sometimes have their lores tie into the Hermitcraft lore via whatever, but this is a lot of wishful thinking...
Nah, it sounds fun but I'd rather want both empires and hermitcraft to establish and retain their own personalities without having to rely on one another
The thing about Empires is that it kinda conflicts with Hermitcraft's core identity... Hermitcraft is supposed to be vanilla Minecraft with friends in its purest form. Hermits building epic structures and having a good time. Meanwhile, Empires is way more narrative focused, with a ton of lore and scripted events. Hermitcraft is more spontaneous and mostly consists of improv (with Season 8's moon story being the exception to the rule).
Adding empire members to hermitcraft will just defeat the idea of different minecraft RUclipsrs being part of other smp’s 😭 I think having a large variety is just better with different storylines and collaborations. Imo, no hate! All love to your idea though!
I love your speculation, but against two of your points: I don't think it's likely that they're going to include a new dimension or mods, as there's no way to convert those to Bedrock (for the end-of-season world downloads).
With a lot of hermits being burnt out from building mega solo bases, I can def see them live together in small teams and work together on a megabase or mega area. I don't like the idea of adding create mod blocks, though. Their pride has always been vanilla, so that is why I'm watching. I could literally be watching anything else if I wanted modded. (Harsh, but real)
Agreed, i think even though hermitcraft at this point can be considered vanilla ++, at its core its a vanilla server and series and i think thats kind of part of why it works so well, having a connection to most viewers perspective of their own minecraft experience despite the insane scale of the builds. I myself like the tangibility of the building styles n stuff, sonetimes taking inspuration or simply thinking "thats neat, good idea i could do thst" or marveling at what can be done with base game blocks. Adding more game-altering mods like create would maybe remove some of that charme that the series has, at least for me. (I would still be watching cause of the social interactions n stuff but i feel that could possibly be the first parting point of me and hc if it happens. But thats also just me dreading the day of falling out of love with this lively server 😅)
My favourites for them to add would be Petezahutt Smallishbeans Smajor Hbomb MythicalSausage Shubbble and Jojosolos witrh Smallishbeans and either H/Pete as the second person , but the whole thing with adding new people has been talked about and to quote mumbo who i think said "every single hermit has to agree upon the new player joining, if one says no then they're not getting in "
Tango got asked on a livestream about Skizz. They want new hermits to be able to produce videos regularly. Skizz isn't always able to make videos because of his real-world job, and he's unwilling to leave that position because he feels a need to set his family up for prosperity in case his health rapidly declines. (For anyone who doesn't know, Skizz has talked about it on stream that he has Multiple Sclerosis.) There is absolutely NOTHING on the entire planet that would make me happier than Skizz joining Hermitcraft. But, I absolutely respect him wanting to take care of his family.
Season 9 has been my favorite and it doesn't even feel like it's gone on for 2 years - it really doesn't. It was that good! I don't know how they'll top that, but I'd love to see something similar to DO2 where people from other servers can come and participate.
I love how most of the background footage is from HC, maybe a bit of Hermitopia in the crossover... And then there’s just a good portion of clips of Tumble Town for some reason lmao- I keep going “Yes!! Season 10! I’m so- wait is that jimmy?”
I find it quite amusing that at 0:14 he says that we know what the hermits are planning for season 10 and showing GRIAN while grian uploaded his vid 2 hours later and practically states he has no plans for season 10 The unfortunate sequence of events I'm looking too much into it
its kinda insane how not only did you correctly guess the 2 new hermits, but also it seems like almost everyone is building bases much closer together this season.
You know even if country road is just boatem (plus gem) and xisuma with maybe another hermit like bdubs or etho or cleo coming together, that in itself would be insane. Or even if it is any other 6-7 hermits coming together, that would still be insane.
I think there’s more than just Joel and Skiz that could potentially be a new hermit.. Potential hermit list (feel free to add) 1: Joel 2: Skiz 3: Fwip 4: mythical sausage
I’d love to see Sausage- he seemed to get along well with a lot of the hermits when he came on during the crossover. And he’s already really tight with Gem and Pearl ofc-
I feel the people seen on the Decked Out Collab are most likely, alongside Joel. Martyn would be AMAZING as a Hermit, especially with Ren and some others. Skizz would just be a DELIGHT, even if he isn't the best builder or redstoner, Jimmy is in a similar boat, bringing many HILARIOUS interactions. Lizzie and Joel are already more subscribed to than most Hermits (though that doesn't really matter) and can make MARVELOUS builds. I don't know too much about HBomb so ye.... But also I'd love fWhip but tbh he's not the most likely.
I've always been fascinated by the idea of *EVERY SINGLE HERMIT* (Not just an odd few people collaborating on a ''Gigabase'' like what happened with Boatem or the Soup Group, which were phenomenal in their own rights), working on a singular project. Hermitopia (Side note, I *LOVE* how you called Hermitopia ''Hermitropolis,'' exactly what I've been jokingly calling it as well) already showed us how a full on megacollaboration of Hermits on a single building could look like in its ''Beta'' form, and dangit it's looking transcendant! The Hermits' intrinsic ability to collaborate and work together on an insanely cool project in a free-flowy kind of way, without much communication or any plans at all, almost like a hive mind of sorts, is infinitely impressive and respectable, and what I love about them so much, almost like how real Hermit Crabs can get themselves into a very orderly queue without any communication to change out their shells one by one. This unscripted and unpredictable social nature is one of the key reasons why I'm in love with Hermitcraft and will most definitely continue to be in the future, as long as they keep what makes them so amazing together. Operation Country Road sounds amazing! Megacolaborations, even if slightly smaller scale ones are already the strongest parts of their respective seasons and are usually the places where most storylines take place in, picture the shopping districts, the Hermitville and Area 77 from Season 6, the HC 7 Mushroom island and the Turf Time minigame zone..... The list honestly goes on. But your last point about mods, is I feel like what has the potential to ruin Hermitcraft. Hermitcraft, at its core, is a very vanilla experience. Sure, they have a couple handy QoL datapacks (Even though I think some of them like the usage of spectator tools and those custom modded looking items is a bit much, though bearable), but it is still almost fully vanilla, aside form the very much QoL optifine and the infinitely providing voice chat mod. Hermitcraft with mods would make it lose one of its main appeals, that being ''pushing VANILLA Minecraft to its limits,'' and the fact that there are no over the top gimmicks and stuff, that usually end in downfall of many other series and trends. Hermitcraft at its core is just *Minecraft,* with some slight tweaks and alterations, and as long as the namesake game is alive, so will Hermitcraft, thriving and improving over time without losing that vanilla flavour. Losing that for extra content for the folks might be a fatal mistake, as 95% of the Hermitcraft viewers just like their vanilla as it is. At least I do, I hate strong influence of mods as main driving forces of certain trends and series and stuff.
We are DEFINITELY getting at least one new hermit for sure - with TFC's passing and a few hermits doing other projects like Vault Hunters, I think a higher population makes a lot of sense. I'd love for Smallish & Skizz to both join! That said though the server is already very male-dominated, and would love to see some more diversity brought in as well. Hoymycraft has a diverse fanbase, and it'd be nice to see more of that repped in the players too! Just from Empires you could have Lizzie, KatherineElizabeth, Shubble... (Joel & Lizzie joining at the same time would be awesome!). There's also another creator called Tootsie who who builds massive-scale projects in Hardcore. Not as as likely as I don't know if she's had any contact with hermits, but I think she would fit extremely well into Hermitcraft!
I love that they're also improving inter-hermit collaboration (catching multiple hermits cutting up or working together like on stream has been hilarious and fun ❤)
The thing I like most about Hermitcraft is how they don't usually plan things out much. Season 8 was the exception not the rule... For the most part, they come up with their ideas and stories on the fly with minimal scripting. Hermits like Rendog definitely try to come up with more story-driven narratives, but its not usually the main focus. They're basically just playing vanilla and trying to have fun, while making enjoyable content to watch. For this reason I don't want them to add any mods unless its specifically an improvement to the fundamental vanilla experience (like the custom models, music discs, etc) that can help the Hermits express their creativity.
As much as I would love to have Skizz join the HC team, I really doubt this will be the case. He has talked often about how thinly he is stretched. Between college softball games, another job, doing the podcast, streaming, naked and scared, life series... there aren't many hours left in the day for him and his family unless he decides to ditch some things. Martian, Jimmy, and Scott are some (probably the most) likely candidates, however. BigB could be an amazing "X" factor in the series as well as someone like fWhip. This doesn't even mention even more Empires people that would be great to have (if there is a consensus between the two groups as I'm sure they don't want to "poach" people). And don't forget, if they are doing a communal living arrangement, the list of people from the SciCraft server is a great recruiting ground as well.
I hope they all get together and do one big city. Impulse said in a live he was doing a cyber dystopian theme and some of the hermits would be helping. Then Bdubs said in his video that his industrial dystopian builds would be seen again. So maybe it could go that route, a city theme with different area themes to the city.
Yes, BDubs said he wasn't done with the sort of steampunky cyber builds! I was looking at his dystopian building yesterday on the world download and up close it's incredible. I was thinking that a whole cityscape would be phenomenal!
I don’t know if anyone’s already done explored the server, there’s some seriously massive builds. Even compared to watching it all season, the scale of Scarland and the Perimeter especially, amongst others, have absolutely blown me away. If they all work together on a massive collaborative base for most of the season, the build will be huge, on a scale perhaps never seen.
I spent all day yesterday exploring, then had 2 runs of decked out! (flattened by ravagers both times :D). It is mindblowing. The sheer detail of many of those bases, dear god, I wish I was a fraction as good at building. I haven't been to soup group yet, and I haven't been out to the raceway. In fact there is still a ton of places I need to explore. I got so drawn in to each build, I spent a very long time in the world! I recommend it to everyone, it's a wonderful escape. :)
@@catsandcrafts171 I spent a couple of hours marveling at the scale and detail of Bdubs build, then I found the highway past Scarland and towards Grians base. I honestly didn't realise just how big Scarland was, and even Grian's base, which seams small in the grand scheme of the server, is huge. Then I found the perimeter, which I didn't realise had beautiful tapestry art around the outside. I ended up loosing track of time, and stopped at this point. I know I've only explored a fraction of the server, but there's some incredibly talented Minecrafters on the server.
Now that season 10 has started... Yeah that aint happened, the closest thing is the cherry Grove mound with grian, mumbo, gem, impulse, joel, skizz and scar
“Scarland times 10” I think is the perfect way for this to play out. All the bases still somehow tied together, however distant and standing out in their own way.
Beyond just Scar, a bunch of hermits have all hinted at or mentioned wanting a similar idea to Country Road. Iskall said in a stream that he would be more active if more of hermitcraft was collaborative. X said he wants to work with other hemits more. Grian in his farewell said that he wanted to do more like the Soup Group and connect bases. Ren said in his Hardcore streams that he wasnt a huge fan of being so far away from everyone and wanted to get more involved. Many of the hermits seem to be tired of being distant and making huge monolithic bases that their friends have nothing to do with, so Im pretty sure Country Road is either going to be one massive collaboration, or an interconnected web of bases all intrinsicly linked by short paths, bridges, or landscaping.
this reminds me of the season where they spend a lot of time on the mushroom island where the shopping district was a lot of building, pranks, wars, elections, playing together, inventing ai, etc
I gotta agree about Decked Out 2. I want so desperately for world downloading to exist on Bedrock. What’s hilarious about Minecraft is that Java edition uses the Java programming language, which is meant for more open/multiplayer/collaborative games and experiences, while Bedrock’s C++ isn’t meant for that stuff, and yet Mojang did the opposite for each version’s programming language
Project Country Roads is a great idea, and I think has a good amount of evidence to support it happening. However I don’t think the scale will be like what many think. Going off of several of the hermit’s final episodes, including Tango, Mumbo, and Iskall, the hermits seem to want to focus more on interactions than mega projects. If a project country roads were to be one mega base that everyone works on, rather than a giga base made from multiple mega bases, it would mean much less work for all and more time spent on the interactions they mention. As a subjective note, I think this would be a great direction for the season, given how the fun and chaotic interactions of the life series are a large part in why they’re entertaining. Seeing that kind of community gameplay in all of Hermitcraft would be amazing.
The mega builds made it feel like Dubai, imposing but kinda dead. So far this season feels like a car free center of a 60k citizen town, it's got a lot of beauty still, but the interactions and cooperative nature is what's really flourishing this season. They're calling it the Neighbourhood, and I'm here for it tbh.
Listen, they might do an area being one giant build, but there is no idea the hermits will do this INSTEAD of personal projects. One area and multiple point of views will mean less individual content and less individual touch as well. Like imagine if you seen False's last video, and imidiatly you know what the entire server did. Its fun for big events, but its not sustainable concept for the season. A main cental area does bring the best of hermits- like most season's shopping districts- but it cant go on its own. You gotta have your mega bases. Also, they need their own bases for storage, even if they wont be mega. xisuma talked before how they dont share storage because than the redstoner dont have reason to make farms- but note that when a builder need resources, the entire server still cheap in, and from resource limit prespective they DO share their storage. I hope they can have a good hub area for causual interactions, but it CANT be one mega base. But... what about mega city? I get the sense scar want to play city design. Castles on edges, smaller builds in middle with stores above and below. Could be cool but still much more distance than one mega build.
There is no realistic way that everyone will work on one big base, the difference in timezones between hermits is too large and if everyone worked on the same thing the people would mostly watch the most popular hermits and other hermits wouldn't get as much recognition and its just not practical from a business point, but something like the soup group might be possible because they are nearby but not constantly collabing, lets be honest if they all made videos together you wouldnt watch mumbo and then go to grian and then go to xisuma and watch the same video from a different pov 10 times, there will be no huge collaborative base, iskall said it himself that he doesnt have a plan and nor does grian really so we should expect the older seasons to return where base progress is slowed down and hermits are just having fun instead of everyone rushing to complete their base and then getting burnt out
The viewers have been massively spoiled with the "main" story lines. Main stories are fun, bring views and excitement, but it puts the hermits in the position to have to do better and better every time a new main story happens. Hermitcraft is not all about the main story. It's ridiculously entertaining, but all the smaller spontaneous adventures, stories, and builds are the best of best content. I'm a massive fan of mumbo and Grian, but all of the hermits bring something unique to the server. Grian seems to always have great ideas for main stories, but all of the hermits pitch in and also have their own great ideas. All of their content is great. If you only watch the few bigger hermits, i kinda feel bad for you.
Impulse gave a hint in his last hermitcraft stream, he said they'll have the vibe of a past season, I think it was mentioned that they'll be dialling back the scale of builds, so this is kinda wrong, yes, the part about being together and not spreading out is right but they aren't working one 1 build, they are still going to have their own bases, Grian said he was going to change his style of build next season. I'd prefer if it was like Boatem but everyone was there, like a little village with each hermit having their own base
I have a theory about the new hermit. I think it is going to be Mogswamp. I know this is totally random but hear me out. He said that his decade long Minecraft world has been destroyed in an ARG. That world has been his entire yt career. So, destroying that just now could mean something bigger and I cannot find something bigger than HC. It is likely that he didn't really destroy the world and I think it is a sign that he tells that he is going to end that world. I think continuing that world would feel a little lame. Moreover, he feels very much like the other hermits. He has a full time, age old, pg youtube channel with good knowledge about Minecraft and is a great builder. So, I don't think I'm way off here, lol.
Btw- one name I haven’t seen said a lot when it comes to potential new hermits is Mythical Sausage. His content seems to fit, he’s close with a good number of server members, and was a part of the crossover. I’m not saying it’s 100% GOING TO HAPPEN- obviously we don’t know that with anyone, just that I think he’s as likely as some other names thrown around.
I sort of figured the hermits would wait until 1.21 then come back with 2 or 3 new hermits. Specificly some of the empire's people. That way you get a nice fresh start with shops that might be fully functioning factories new players to toss into the chaos, and whatever else. At this point that is about the only thing I am willing to put much thought into because of the uncertinty factor of guessing what hermits will do. Also 1.21 is supposed to come out in the summer and they might not want to wait that long.
I’m so hyped for the idea that Hermits will be blending their bases together. This creates more connection and opens up more chances of fun interactions. Absolutely pumped. Also, didn’t know about Impulse’s rap until now lol
i think saying the hermits are running out of ideas is a bit of a disservice to them. yes, there are hermits like mumbo, iskall, stress, xb and wels who all seem to be taking some time off and putting their drive into other stuff theyre passionate in but scar with his scarland build, joe with his pinball machine, beef and tango with their not-so-mini minigames shows theyre equally at their peak when it comes to creativity and ideas to do. also the soup group this season was a very obvious example of hermits building not just next to each other but TYING their bases to each other is a great idea and plenty of other hermits including the soup group themselves have said how much fun it is
i would love to see more closely connected bases and more closely connected shenanigans. the best hc episodes are when they have fun and do things in groups rather than solo
If you want to check out another video about Hermitcraft, look no further! ruclips.net/video/jI6xHLDZPEs/видео.html
Also: music and other attributions can be found here: pastebin.com/kmWNvNUX
(sorry for the random super loud music track i completely didn't notice because i finished editing this at like 2am)
From season 3 it was always 2 new ones at the start with the most recent being season 8 with Geminitay and Pearlscentmoon.
And sometimes in the middle of the long season a returning hermit shows back up or a third new one
they should add philza
It would be interesting if they banned flying, and built a Train system with the Creative trains, on a schedule and used the trains to get around, and expand etc. Tunneling / track laying trains, Transport trains for materials, and Passenger Trains for the Hermits to get around. I think that could be cool, as a viewer anyway, where i get to see the edited, finished product after all the waiting is cut out. lol
I got a critique about this video the background music was really loud at certain parts making it hard to hear you otherwise thank u for the info👍
Lets just hope they don't count on Grian to finish the back Lmao
6:23 Grian said in his final episode that blowing up Docs tunnel bore was not intentional and that he was genuinely scared of how Doc would react.
Also it was scar who repeatedly pressed the noteblock
bruh if all the hermits work together for one gianormous build then imagine basicly so many farms that they have like creative mode in mc. or so many build its like an industrial city. it could be larger than greenville
Kinda like the one they started building during the Empires colab, but better?
so basically hermitopia on crack
nah greenville is just wayy to big and has been going on for years and years
It would also lag so much the hermits might just abandon ship. Wasn’t that a problem with the boatem megabase?
Bruh?
This is just the feeling i got from grian's last episode when he was looking at Gem's, Impulse's and Pearl's bases, he seemed to be very excited by the idea of those 3 bases just blending into each other and telling a story. It was really impressive to look at as well
I was thinking about this too.
I was going to comment this lol
@@georginatoland I love Grian's content, but I'd be ok with him going behind the scenes so long as he does Stan Lee type cameos. But part of Hermitcraft's charm is that even though there's a lot of storylines all the Hermits have their own thing going on and that allows spontaneity which I think is integral to the server. They are after all Hermits.
@@georginatoland Agree with what you said, except for one small note (which isn't really relevant for your post, but still irked me kind of): "what grown up works at the same job for a decade?"
Every grown up that wants to have a stable income? This might be a cultural / regional thing, but where I live people tend to keep their jobs - switching every single decade would kind of imply you being unstable and/or unable to keep a job properly. 😉
I'm so glad Tango is recognized for the best survival build with Decked Out 2.
When they said that I nodded aggressively in agreement
@@LiesethePrincess So did I. Other bases on other servers may have had one feature that was "Bigger or Better", but the sheer scope, complexity, and detail all built into this single construction is INSANE!!!
I mean who wouldn’t recognize that as the best? Like I’m not even a hardcore minecraft enjoyer and I’m all giddy and excited about it. It’s absolutely incredible and I did not even know half the things he did with it are possible with vanilla minecraft. Plus Tango’s dedication to making it throughout the entire season is just unmatched.
i like cat
In Gem's last stream she also says that she loved the starting area and that having to move out to build your main base somewhere else isn't fun for her. I think that adds to the "country road" theory!
in her stream she said she hated the starter area 😅 that she preferred just being able to start her main base and not having a whole base in another area
@@kkio. both are true in a sence... she said she hated the starting area only because it was a bit cramped and mainly because she had to move. She didn't like that she had to abandon builds she had already built and rebuilt old infrastructure, like a brewing setup.
Imagine all the restone things grian can destroy by just pressing a few buttons
Casually destroys a whole mega base with one button press
All Redstone must be Grian and Scar safe... Good luck Redstoners!
One button lead to the entire perimeter being covered and a giant egg dragon in the sky 🤣🤣
This shows how much potential grian or any other hermitcrafter have when motivated
I would prefer a "Boatem style town" to something like a "Hermitopia". Like a huge town with all differnet bases built close together and connected with an infractructure. Like a shopping district, but much bigger.
Yeah, i kind of miss the gaming districts of old with all the collabs and funky builds, a serverscape somewhat similar to that could be fun
Like soup group base?
grian also seemed really into this idea in his finale episode when talking about the soup group's s9 base, he said he'd love to build collaboratively and closely like they did
Just because elements of the server are the same between seasons doesn't mean the hermits are running out of ideas.
Imagine Grian and Skizz working together on a story line, chaos + cinematic
Skizz + Joe is a duo I REALLY want to see happen XD
I believe they haven't officially announced any casting changes for season 10 as of yet. Aside from the late Tinfoil Chef whom will probably still be with them in spirit and maybe have a new memorial monument.
As long as Skizz doesn't do the builds 😂😂
Skizz isn't a Hermit.
@@AeonKnigh432 We know? We're just talking about the possibility of Skizz joining?
Hermits basing together or close by (like the soup group from S9) is something I love watching; it would actually be funny and pretty dang awesome if they decided to all collaborate on one like your theory
id bet literally anything that skizzleman is the new member. theres been alot of people gunning for him lately (namely impulse) and i mean he's already basically an honorary hermit at this point. he's friends with like half the server
Did they confirm another new member?
@@andrewbloom7694 Not to my knowledge but it's very likely considering that a new member was added at least every other season
@@andrewbloom7694impulse said in a stream that "we have to wait and see" with the goofies grin on his face
@@andrewbloom7694 Impulse hinted at it
I like skizz, but there are so many people I'd want to see added over him- fWhip or Sausage or even someone completely different like Mogswamp
I love how his top two compettitors for joining, smalishbeans and skizzleman, are the ones who joined
You were sorta right, with there being magic mountain and the neighborhood. But Doc, being himself, was just like, 'nah, imma do my own thing' and went to live in the swamp.
Which i think keeps with their whole bibe. Freedom to go off if you don't wanna join in but plenty of collab points
The blaar from the past sure came true tho
You called it exactly
@@camerondenson8532 damn thanks for the tag lol, forgot I made this comment
Wizard
If they collabed on one base it would be Minecraft’s most amazing build
It probably won't be one big base considering Doc's tweet that said group projects are great but hurt "smaller members" thus individual projects are very important.
They definitely going to be based closer than past seasons. Something like starter village but instead of just for starter house, it continues that way the whole season? No idea how they're going to manage the lag tho.
There actually was a change in Hermits for season 9. RIP TinFoilChef
As someone who watched pheonix regularly, I don't think I'd watch his hc videos. It just doesn't fit his internet persona
@@MrTheStephReal fair enough. He has expressed interest in joining however
@@GSBarlev Grian didn't really play survival either, his channel was creative-based building at the time, and look at him now
As someone who recently took up create, I think it can be appreciated even easier by a general audience (esp. non Minecraft or non redstone folks) simply because everything works the way it looks.
WHY AM I JUST LEARNING THAT XISUMA IS THE REASON BED WARS IS A THING
I feel like Mogswamp would actually be a really good new member for the server. He's family friendly, a great builder, and he already has a big audience
mogswamp when the server isn't superflat:
I would LOVE to see Mogswamp join, I think he’d be a great addition
not disagreeing that he'd be a great addition, but does he really know anyone on the hermitcraft server? from what i've seen every new member has had some connection to at least one other player on the server before joining (like grian and pearl for example)
I’m just wondering if maybe having to do hermit craft would detract from the effort he can put into his super flat world. I think he’s be a great addition to the server, I just don’t know if he can sustain both hermitcraft and superflat survival at a reasonable level of quality.
@@michaelelischer1565 that is a good point, he puts an incredible amount of time and effort into his main world
I just saw this and its almost a year later. But like... How did you guess skizz's and joel's joining of hermitcraft
I like how you literally predicted Smallishbeans and Skizzleman would join HC10
I’d love to see Skizz join HC. He’s never been a mega build type of player but I think if it’s more of a country roads type of season, he absolutely could fit in. Hes such a great personality and already is very integrated within the community. Joel and Lizzie are pretty big members of Empires and if they left their server it would be pretty disappointing to fans of empires. But skizz isn’t apart of any big server already. He’s be a great candidate
Joel creates so much, so fast, I'm pretty sure he could 'dual wield' like Gem has done.
11:46 correct! you just predicted the future!
bro predicted skizz and joel joining
Country road seems amazing! I don't think they'll have lag issues because if they can do Deck Out then they can handle anything! I think Skizz is joining my few reasons why is 1. Skizz has been collabing a lot with Hermits 2. Cleo said she really misses Skizz (my thought was oh he didn't have to go) also other hermits like false said something similar and she just met him once I believe. 3. When Impulse said some new hermits are joining he got very very happy for a quick second (that man can not tell a lie!)
I need this clip, I’ve been told his poker face is awful 😂
@@phoenix10km99 it's on his second channel I believe the last VOD on hermit craft
Yeah Impulse is one of the worst liars ngl-
i think they will all either use the experimental features for the next update like the crafter or prepare for it. When they do have the crafter, they will build insane farms and storage systems. I can only imagine what the redstoners and gamebreakers like Doc will do with the crafter! :)
Next season will probably start once 1.21 is out. In my opinion
@@Timelord79 yeah I realised lol. I didn't see them for a while. but my point still stands
11:48 you said it! :D you should be a fortune teller xD
There being two Grian Doc prank wars isn't really an example of them repeating storylines because the inciting incidents weren't planned
it wouldn't really be a surprise if the Empire SMP members decide to merge with Hermitcraft and retain that name, in addition, to have Skizzleman and maybe someone else join, to have a massive server that can have multiple stories going on at the same time, like FWhip and Sausage can do their own thing and sometimes have their lores tie into the Hermitcraft lore via whatever, but this is a lot of wishful thinking...
nah too much
Nah, it sounds fun but I'd rather want both empires and hermitcraft to establish and retain their own personalities without having to rely on one another
The closest we can expect to that is 1-2 members from empires getting added to Hermitcraft. Nothing more than that prob.
I think that’s unlikely, but I’d love to see Sausage or Fwhip on the server.
The lag the boatem people had in S8 makes me think a combined base might be wishful thinking.
Meanwhile, two months later, iskall “makes” one base from 11 hermits
Would love to have Joel on HC as the chaos he and Grian would cause would be some very fun content also to see Joel’s amazing builds
Adding empire members to hermitcraft will just defeat the idea of different minecraft RUclipsrs being part of other smp’s 😭 I think having a large variety is just better with different storylines and collaborations. Imo, no hate! All love to your idea though!
Joel would work SO WELL on hermitcraft him and grian would be hilarious
I love that ever since Grian joined, a war has been guaranteed in the server
I love how he actually just got the two new season 10 hermitcraft members right on the nose
Lovely*, although lively also fits

And then there’s just a good portion of clips of Tumble Town for some reason lmao-
I keep going “Yes!! Season 10! I’m so- wait is that jimmy?”
I find it quite amusing that at 0:14 he says that we know what the hermits are planning for season 10 and showing GRIAN
while grian uploaded his vid 2 hours later and practically states he has no plans for season 10
The unfortunate sequence of events
I'm looking too much into it
its kinda insane how not only did you correctly guess the 2 new hermits, but also it seems like almost everyone is building bases much closer together this season.
You know even if country road is just boatem (plus gem) and xisuma with maybe another hermit like bdubs or etho or cleo coming together, that in itself would be insane. Or even if it is any other 6-7 hermits coming together, that would still be insane.
I think there’s more than just Joel and
Skiz that could potentially be a new hermit..
Potential hermit list (feel free to add)
1: Joel
2: Skiz
3: Fwip
4: mythical sausage
Sausage!! That would be cool.
Fwhip, Mythical Sausage, Mogswamp are also some honorable mentions. They would all fit right in
I’d love to see Sausage- he seemed to get along well with a lot of the hermits when he came on during the crossover.
I think this was also slightly hinted at when grian talked about the soup groups bases being really inspiring and should be done more in the future..
Seeing Joel in hermitcraft would be so fun
Operation country road, will work out perfectly only if the can agree on a base color scheme
Now that season 10 has started... Yeah that aint happened, the closest thing is the cherry Grove mound with grian, mumbo, gem, impulse, joel, skizz and scar
Looking at how close together they are this season, I think it’s possibly true.
Many of the hermits seem to be tired of being distant and making huge monolithic bases that their friends have nothing to do with, so Im pretty sure Country Road is either going to be one massive collaboration, or an interconnected web of bases all intrinsicly linked by short paths, bridges, or landscaping.
this reminds me of the season where they spend a lot of time on the mushroom island where the shopping district was
a lot of building, pranks, wars, elections, playing together, inventing ai, etc
Note also they don’t have to top their previous seasons. They just need to keep entertaining us.
10:57 I am from the future and this RUclipsr predicted that Smallishbeans and skizz would be added to HermitCraft X
All hermit craft needs for new ideas are a couple new hermits with fresh ideas.
Grian's finale video he marveled at the soup groups bases blending so well and said he'd love to see that server wide
As long as they teach scar how to avoid lag, this will be great. It's always his builds that bring the server grinding to a halt
There is no realistic way that everyone will work on one big base, the difference in timezones between hermits is too large and if everyone worked on the same thing the people would mostly watch the most popular hermits and other hermits wouldn't get as much recognition and its just not practical from a business point, but something like the soup group might be possible because they are nearby but not constantly collabing, lets be honest if they all made videos together you wouldnt watch mumbo and then go to grian and then go to xisuma and watch the same video from a different pov 10 times, there will be no huge collaborative base, iskall said it himself that he doesnt have a plan and nor does grian really so we should expect the older seasons to return where base progress is slowed down and hermits are just having fun instead of everyone rushing to complete their base and then getting burnt out
you could build something realistic that doesn’t really add anything like a helicopter, or the periodic bird that you can look at while flying around
Bro just gone full conspiracy mode....
The 8 month animagician comeback is so real
But has he ever interacted with the Hermits? That's the deciding factor.
@@samszczepanski2281 He was in a fWhip video not long ago, so perhaps he is behind the scenes?
I could see them having a huge server wide project, but they will without a doubt have separated areas
11:53 damn dude predicated the new hermits just from hopes and his tone!
honestly season 7 is still peak, but that's mostly nostalgia speaking tbh
With how well Scott vibes with alot of the hermits in the interactions they've had, I think he'd be a good fit for Hermitcraft honestly
The fact that all of the wars lead back to Grian in some shape or form.....
Your editing style is sick !
I love it
For HC modded there's HC Vault Hunters. I know not everyone is on there but it's the closest thing these is so far and I think it's really cool
i think saying the hermits are running out of ideas is a bit of a disservice to them. yes, there are hermits like mumbo, iskall, stress, xb and wels who all seem to be taking some time off and putting their drive into other stuff theyre passionate in but scar with his scarland build, joe with his pinball machine, beef and tango with their not-so-mini minigames shows theyre equally at their peak when it comes to creativity and ideas to do.
also the soup group this season was a very obvious example of hermits building not just next to each other but TYING their bases to each other is a great idea and plenty of other hermits including the soup group themselves have said how much fun it is
Bruh you guessed BOTH of the new hermits in S10 that's crazy
i would love to see more closely connected bases and more closely connected shenanigans. the best hc episodes are when they have fun and do things in groups rather than solo
