    Even though they would have been worth the jump, Anna I do not think she could have reached the broze medal, she in the qualifier obtained 15,200 in her second jump assuming that the judges had awarded her the same note her final result would have been
    (15,625 + 15,200 / 2)= "15,412".
    Cheng Fei scored 15,562.
    I must admit that Cheng's second jump score was very high despite that big mistake

      Incorrect- and very arrogant thinking. If ANY gymnast goes before the green light they receive a zero. Pavlova screwed her self at these games, no one else. Hit when it counts if you want a medal- it’s not that tough a concept lol.

    • @saragrant9749
      @saragrant9749 6 месяцев назад

      Pay attention to the screen- IT SAID STOP!! That means the athlete is not cleared to go, and it is their own responsibility to ensure they have a green light!! Russia didn’t garner any medals at these games because of their own mistakes, no one else is to blame. They didn’t take full advantage of the code for starters, didn’t execute when it really mattered and so… came home with nothing. That’s all on them.

  • @intldawn
    @intldawn 6 лет назад +10

    Such a shame. Every gymnast knows at this level that you have to wait for the green light to flash. You could even see on the screen behind her that flashes the vault number, the light was still on red. I’m not sure what happened there because she must have seen a judge indicate to her that they were ready. She was way too experienced not to know that. Ugh

    • @saragrant9749

    @mfsx5ip2 Okay,say it like that,but the judging at these olympics was ridiculous as well.
    Look at Anna's floor from prelims,and in the AA.Obviously,the AA routine was better and deserved at least 15.4,she got a 15.05,and in prelims for under rotated DLO,she got 15.150. And it doesent seem like a very big difference,but it was wrong.
    Im a fan of Cheng fei,but i have to say that she didnt deserve to medal in vault or beam,in vault it should have been Sacramone,and beam - Pavlova.My oppinion.

    • @saragrant9749
      @saragrant9749 Год назад

      Pavlova completely missed an entire element in her routine was the big problem- that’s a huge point loss considering you lose the SV and the deduction for the error. That was the only difference.

  • @saragrant9749
    @saragrant9749 3 года назад +3

    This was a devastating error on her part but also on the judge's part. Shed made a signal that could easily be misinterpreted as the "go" signal. As a sports official you just can't do something that could potentially confuse the athlete. Just a shame.

    @mfsx5ip2 And Anna WAS punished at these games,at least deserved that one medal on beam,or in the TF,but she didnt.
    And another thing: Anna performed brilliantly in AA,especially on beam and floor,but she finished behing,what a coincidence,Jiang Yuyuan,who is chinese,and had a fall on vault. Im not saying that Anna deserved a medal in AA,and im not saying as her fan,im just saying,looking at her performance,what should have been.

      Unfortunately bars killed her shot. She just didn’t hae a strong enough routine to keep up with others who had stronger routines. When you have a start value of 5.7 and the best have one of 7.7- that’s a massive deficit.

  • @Markane62
    @Markane62 13 лет назад

    @sqekcx Yes,but its not like the games in 2012 will be in Russia,so they would try to sweep all the medals,even if they perform worst,because that happened in Beijing in 4 places,AA,VT,BB,UB.
    I mean,who beats an almost perfect routine,with a routine with thousands of wobbles and mistakes?
    No,Russia was never like that,they were always fair,they would perform they're best to get medals,and they would not hope that the judges will help them get it.And im not talking about TF...

    • @saragrant9749
      @saragrant9749 Год назад

      Russia was fair? Oh, right- we are talking about a country WHO SANCTIONS THE USE OF PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS!! In gymnastics they were fairly scored here. In team they made mistakes in both beam and floor, and only had ONE great bar worker. The Romanians won bronze because they were consistently hitting routines without having falls or major errors. It’s amazing the arrogance of that one nation.

    • @saragrant9749
      @saragrant9749 Год назад

      It’s already been proven that there was no cheating at these games, the ages of the athletes were vetted. The Russians would have medaled if they could have produced the results they were capable of- they didn’t. Balance beam and floor were a mess for them in team finals, costing them bronze. That’s on them. Pavlova made a huge mistake here and it cost her dearly. She then fell on floor- again, no fault of anyone else. Then in beam final she completely missed an entire element- again costing her a bronze. Semenova was never going to get anything more than bronze on bars as she was far out start valued by Kexin and Liukin, and subsequently didn’t have her best routine- again, that’s on her. They’d have had a better shot in all around if Pavlova had been stronger on bars and Semenova had been stronger on beam. That is coaching, not judges. You people seem to think when your precious Russian princesses mess up it’s everyone else’s fault. That is hypocrisy at its absolute finest. This team didn’t produce- and thus didn’t get medals, it’s as simple as that. Try growing up at least marginally… unless you enjoy perpetual childhood.
