Devonta Smith is probably just tired of hearing weak ass armchair quarterbacks talking about his size .Even after he goes out and has the best season a receiver has ever had ignorant people still doubt his ability. These same people like to hype up defensive players that he went out every week and made them look like scrubs. This kid spent four years in the toughest division in the best conference in college football. The last two years he put up 3800 yards and 40 TDs that’s some insane numbers.

Fair, it’s just that no one with his size has ever made it in the nfl. Not saying he can’t but it’s not likely. His best comp (size wise) is Paul Richardson. Not the best

@@Osty_YT He is the exact same height as Jaylen Waddle. He can easily add 15 pounds . These teams hire nutritionist and personal trainers for these guys. There are plenty of receivers his size that have played in the NFL Antonio Brown was once considered the best receiver in the game for several years and he’s the same height and weighs 185 pounds. This narrative about his size keeping him from being a successful productive receiver in the NFL is naive .Any receiver that played at college football’s most dominant program in the best division and best conference in college football shouldn’t be getting the disrespect Smith has. Most weeks he was lining up against NFL players and he didn’t just play good,in his last two years at Alabama his production was on a level people have never seen before. He out performed all of his teammates that all for some reason have been considered better receivers. He led Alabama in receiving yards and receiving yards in 2019 and 2020 .I’ve tried to find receivers who have had that kind of production over a two year span but I haven’t found any.aI figured maybe Randy Moss or Deondre Hopkins but no.Even the most heralded prospects of all time can’t match his career.

If he could add weight then it’d be a different story. Just has yet to be seen
