Exactlyyyyy! I've had this happen, and I've always told the people that my dad is in a home meeting, and I can not disturb him. I ask for a card and tell them to leave.
After the first story, if you tell people who are setting up a security device, even if you set an appointment and you told them you are canceling, they legally have to leave. So that’s a red flag if they keep pushing or better yet not knowing they’re here is the biggest red flag when we set up a security device when I live with my ex-girlfriend who I’m no longer with years ago, we were notified in advance from email text and even a phone call a day before arrival and another notification from email text and a home phone call 45 minutes before they arrive

I don't need a security system. I have a cane corso and a 45 and I'm also a retired Muay Thai fighter and boxer. Anyone who would come to my house to bother me is incredibly stupid.

The first story maybe now is a good time to get a real security system? Yeah and don’t tell people you’re home alone. Even children know not to say that when they’re on the phone with someone they don’t know. I will say that was weird when that woman showed up the second time after those two guys. It actually sounds like they were casing her house. I would’ve pretended to play along and then had my mother or my neighbor call the cops and wait for them to show up while she was still there.
