I LOVE having a qb sit for 2 years. Just like back in the day. All the HOF qbs had to sit for a year before they got their chance. This was the 8 overall pick. We knew the gamble. They probably told themselves before the draft that there’s maybe 2 or 3 players if they are still there we pulling the trigger. And Penix was that dude 🎉🎉🎉 I’m not gonna hate I’m gonna trust the process . Falcons are fine. We gonna get our edge rusher tonight and maybe a safety. @ItsKillaBouie Месяц назад +5

      We drafted Desmond Ridder in the 3rd, can someone tell me how that worked out, I’ve noticed the people that have a problem wit the pick, isn’t falcons fans or haven’t watched the falcons last year, we need pass rush but when we got Vic Beasley that 1 yr n he only produce for 1 yr, you’ll understand y the falcons don’t like to take a edge first round, n if you know the falcons, our first picks are unpredictable but the rest of the draft, they getting there needs out the way, if Kirk get hurt, people gon love this pick more

  • @BlackjackCZ
    @BlackjackCZ Месяц назад +2

    It took the Vikings six years what the Falcons figured out in one month. 😂 Cousins hates real competition in the QB room. There is no way Penix will sit for two years. Cousins will struggle against good teams like he always does, and that will be Penix's opportunity. SKOL!

  • @OhNoTwisted
    @OhNoTwisted Месяц назад +8

    Talk to the Jets about paying an aging QB big money and then depending on that QB to drive wins. If that QB goes down, you are screwed. BTW its Cousins. Cousins isn't a stellar QB or even a guy that wins much in the playoffs. He isn't getting you to the SB and isn't carrying a team. He's a good QB, no more, no less. But he isn't going to make a team great. If you can get a better QB than Cousins, you have to try.

    • @thetrib1
      @thetrib1 Месяц назад +2

      Then don't pay cousins. I'm sorry that logic just doesn't work. If kirk was still on the vikings and they drafted a QB that would be different. You can just grab another vet if you're the falcons. Could've potentially had an elite corner or D lineman....but instead you take a back up QB. Just really dumb

    • @OhNoTwisted
      @OhNoTwisted Месяц назад +2

      @@thetrib1 You could give Cousins the second coming of LT and Megatron, he still isn't winning anything in the playoffs. He shrinks in big moments. Sure overpaying him was dumb, but that's what mid Qbs cost now. Doesn't mean reaching for a QB that CAN carry a team makes no sense. Cousins is a slightly above avg QB. Not a guy that you can ride in the playoffs.

    • @thetrib1
      @thetrib1 Месяц назад

      @OhNoTwisted teams win. Not individuals. If prime Nathan Peterman can win a game in the league then cousins can win a few with a hall of fame roster. This was a movie that obviously makes it harder to do.

    • @Azikkii
      @Azikkii Месяц назад

      Your entire point is so hypocritical. “Yeah let’s back up our aging QB with a 24 year old injury prone skinny QB who won’t start till he’s 27 at the earliest. Oh and btw he had to COMPLETELY change his style of play after the ACL injury to a pocket passer in a league of mobile QBs”. You are not very bright or just ignorant and coping with this terrible pick. This would make sense as a pick in the 20s, not top 8.

I get the succession plan but taking a 25 year old rookie with a long history of injuries that is going to sit behind a guy you just threw 140 mil at a guy to be your starter.
