Shoutout to Steve Smith. A people’s champ.
Steve is the best!
Yessir.
You could tell he was nervous af
He fought through it though.
Big shout out to all the Union workers!! Live better, work union!! ✌️🇺🇲
Did Steve join the union or did he get a waiver otherwise he broke rules.
@@OldSchoolOx1961this comment makes no sense, he doesn’t have to be in a union to be next to or with those guys, he is simply just there with permission to be on the premises.
Ibew here baby. Let’s go Buffalo
@@OldSchoolOx1961 He's a guest of the project owner. He's not violating in rules or regulations.
Always wear your PPE folks...
It is kind of cool, that down the road Steve can actually brag about helping our franchise succeed, and he won't be lying. Direct contribution, I watched the man leveling cement, hahaa
Seriously tho
The Bills will have the standard NFL stadium. Open air natural grass how the nfl should be played.
Exactly. bit of overhang to keep the crowd dry, and maybe deter some of that wind.
I like the new Bill's stadium a lot, but that SoFi is pretty crazy giving that indoor/outdoor feel no matter the weather.
Meanest man on the turf. Nicest professional after retirement.
Steve Smith in sports media is the stuff I need in the world. He’s still as HARD as ever 💪
Ummm...✌️🇺🇲
@@bm373Dont be like that. He means Steve Simths d**k is hard as ever jeeze.
This is exactly what this team needs to finally win a Super Bowl.
How's that😂😂
LMAO a new stadium? Can't wait for the Chiefs to win one in this thing.
@@antangelone 🤣🤣🤣
@@notachnace 🤣🤣🤣
We're going to win it before this stadium is built! We'll win number 2 in the new one!
1,300 workers. That's almost more workers than NFL players total. Stadiums don't construct themselves, I guess
It's a massive amount of work. The lineman alone are probably 100 people. You got people installing glass, tile, carpeting, audio systems, TV screens, refrigerators/freezers, painters, registers, tables, grass, seats, fences. That's probably just half the work force honestly. I just hope the Nfl and the owners are paying at least half.✌️🇺🇲
@@bm373 Now that you mention it, with all the revenue the league is seeing, you might think that an arrangement like that would already be in place. But the NFL has shown itself to be greedy, and I would not be surprised if this was all wishful thinking.
On the positive side, the new stadium plans have the stadium looking nice. I really like the old style Buffalo inspired architecture they used in the bowl concept. I'm guessing it will have a lot of external glass when it is finished, and should be a pretty site on the eyes. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Just glad they went "Outdoor" and "Grass." Thank you sooooooo much, lol
I suddenly want to learn construction. And engineering. And Journalism. Whelp, that was a lot, ...time to take a nap!
I'd keep construction as a plan b in case you get a criminal record.
@@somerandomguy5977 That's actually a helpful (if not condescending) tip. Thanks! Lmao
2026 Iam excited LFg Go Bills 💙❤️💙
These guys are the backbone of America!
Where is the Bills time capsule going to be placed. To be opened by generations not yet born from now…
1:33 this was recorded a while ago, it looks way different now.
There’s a few panthers I liked as a saints fan when I was a kid this dude is one of em
20,000 lbs of steel? Im hoping he meant 20,000 tons or I want the steel they using. Awesome jobsite, love seeing stuff beung built and Steve looks like he knows how to put in some work.
The Bills will have the standard NFL stadium. Open air natural grass how the nfl should be played.
Make sure none of those workers are Chiefs fans. We don't want shoddy work now! LOL
I love what these teams are doing with these new stadiums. This stadium is going to look nice.
It Steve Smiths world. We are just living in it
loved those old panthers! Go Bills!
Technically, all it gets you is a hosted super bowl.
If Buffalo could host a SB (it's more than likely not happening but would be sweet) it would be huge for the region
Won't happen. Buffalo doesn't have the hotel infrastructure to do it.
@@kensmith2829 I am a Bills fan who lives in the Saratoga and Adirondack region. Rentals go wild here in peak seasons. If Buffalo hosted a Super Bowl the rental price for Friday-Monday would pay most of the mortgages in that area for at least 6 months. Just go grab a cheap hotel in somewhere like Arcade
@@liamengram6326 You misunderstand. The NFL has specific rules on the types of infrastructure needed to host a SuperBowl.
Those include(from my understanding):
1. Minimum of 70k seats
2. Min temp of 50 or above, otherwise you need a dome or waiver
3. 35k parking spots
4. Large pregame entertainment area within walking distance
5. Space for the NFL Experience theme park
6. Infrastructure around the stadium for security, electrical, media etc
7. Hotel space equal to 35% of the stadium capacity and the players as well as dignitaries
8. Practice space for both teams of equal size and quality.
@@kensmith2829 won't matter. When it comes, it'll transform the area for the better for about 1 year...
Then the surrounding area will turn into a barren wasteland.
Bills ✌️
We didn't need a new stadium. Especially one with more expensive tickets and less seats
Bro was nervous he was gonna have to get confronted by some real deal hardcore blue collar workers that were gonna eat him up for being a newbie out there lol.
SHOUT OUT TO CUS STEVE... FROM STEVE SMITH HAHAHA 🤣🤣💯👍🏾
ive never seen construction workers be so nice lol
Yooooo this was sooo cool!!!
I could have worked there for the duration.
Steve smith the snoop dog for football with all these side quests now
AYYYEEE CUS STEVE GROW A BEARD🤣🤣🤣👆🏾
panthers should of let steve run the locker room cam is immature
Miss that hot-headed dude! He had his own style of wr and underrated!
Steve Smith!
Take the taxpayers money let’s not forget about that.
cool
That's a construction drill sargent 3:10
Steve didn't seem impressed one little bit when they were describing the stadium. How embarrassing for the Bills. 63,000 seats? Ha
That's pretty cool for Steve. Once it's finished, he can really say he helped build this place
Go Bills
I lived in Buffalo for 5 years - if they went to an indoor stadium, I think everyone including non-Buffalonians would've been mad. The weather (and being impervious to it) is a HUGE part of living there. You will absolutely be looked at funny if you ever complain about the weather in Buffalo
Please go to Jackksonville and be the mascot for a day during a home game steve. That would be epic
its nice seeing John Polka being the MAIN guy for this project. I knew him growing up. Great Dude.
This Steve smith show. Underrated and under appreciated
63k that's a missed chance at a superbowl!
What is nfl films doing to this great show? They turning Steve Smith into Mike Rowe
As a local 22 plumbers and steamfitters member i cant help but beam with pride when I see Buffalo on the national stage!
They should have built a retractable roof in the stadium
An open air building in a place that gets blizzards?
should have had a dome to be able to host other events.
Him in the lift was hilarious. That man was hanging on for dear life.
He should have asked to keep a vest and have the crew sign it.
Dam shame only helmet the bills gave him was a Hard hat
Love this series, Steve Smith is great for media
Sorry Steve, but we got to feed the pit. 😂
Open stadium? More games can be delayed and freezing lol
Fun fact, games would still be delayed and relocated with a dome. It's not the stadium being unready that delays those games. They have excavators and everything ense that can clear the field in an hour. What delays the games is the roads around the stadium being impassable and the county banning travel for safety concerns. A dome doesn't fix that unless you build it over the whole city
"Ya like it" "No" 😂😂😂
Keep it coming
😂
Ice Up son
Paying for a standing room ticket only 😂😂😂
I don’t plan on sitting at an NFL game anyway
I love how he mentioned that Buffalo is a historic city with architectural significance, but they hired Kansas City architects to design the stadium lmfao. I wonder how Bills fans feel knowing their stadium is due to the ingenious of Kansas Citians.
I honesty don’t believe they’ll think that deeply about it as long as the Bills win 😂
@@Los150 they always win, and then always end up losing to the Chiefs when it matters. Tthe entire Bills organization absolutely despises the Chiefs. I can guarantee there’s a large handful of Bills fans that 100% hate this move, winning or not. It’s just another jab Chiefs fans have to throw their way lol
Those same architects designed some of the best stadiums in the world. It's strictly a business decision lol
Also, there's Buffalonians building that stadium 😉
There's only a handful of architectural firms worldwide that have the expertise on stadiums that size. The Bills went with populous. You have HOK out of Saint Louis. HKS out of Dallas. And that's mostly it for US firms on this scale. A few smaller firms have done smaller stadiums or other sports. But big football stadiums are a niche market
This is old, there's wayyyyy more progress on the stadium today (9/28/24) than there is in this video.
Why build another open roof stadium for your freezing fans? Now you’re limited to football games and sporting events
We also should've built it somewhere else. Like, in Buffalo instead of in the middle of nowhere orchard park.
@@Deezy_Ankhthe big problem with moving it downtown was land. To build it downtown they would have had to eminent domain a bunch of buildings which is ugly politically, so the politicians didn't like that. And the Bills didn't like the added cost of building downtown with tighter design constraints.
As for the dome, studies showed it was going to be a billion dollars more. The team didn't want to pay that because there's no reason for them to pay it. And the city didn't want to pay an extra billion because the city didn't want to pay anything. With the sale of the Bills bonds last week, the city has completely paid off its share of the building.
Thats why there's no dome, and why it's not downtown
Buffalo isn't a draw for massive concerts anyway. When's the last one at the stadium you recall? Big bands go to Cincinnati or Toronto, bigger metro area more money! You want a roof hit up the arena downtown.
