So gear 5 gives Luffy the power of “The Mask”. A loony toons character hopes up on crack/steroids. Sounds like from a logical perspective Luffy should never be able to lose.
It’s a fun spectacle to watch him fight, but I can’t say I enjoy the nature/origins of this power. Seems like Oda just added this power at the last second after realizing he made Kido too strong.
