Just found your videos, then saw that you purchased an Ultimate Seat. I've had them on my last two Goldwings (1500 and 1800) and LOVE them. I recommend it to anyone riding a bike. The people are great to work with and they do honor their warranty. For me it is just a tremendous seat. When I bought my 1800, I wouldn't even ride it until the seat came in. It's the BEST add-on that I have purchased on any bike. Pricey, yes, but worth every penny. Actually, I was fortunate to get mine on eBay. I would have purchased either way. And by the way, your seat looks great!
He said New Bern but, prior to that I could tell by the scenery that he was in North Carolina. Our state is beautiful, if we stop destroying the wildlife with development. GWRR 4life.
Hey there...I just bought a 2018 Gold Wing, and after putting 2,000 miles on the stock seat, i am realizing I need a new seat. I am looking the Russel Day long and this one..I just don't want a seat that moves me back. I'm looking at the midrider too. You still happy with the seat. 😃💯😃💯
Yes I’m extremely pleased with the mid rider. I did have a Russell on another bike and think that’s a good seat also but did not want to send my seat off to have it rebuilt so I decided to try the ultimate. Just rode 408 miles round trip a couple of weekends ago and could have done more without a problem.
we found that Lynda was getting discomfort in her hips , we figured out that the added height of the ultimate seat put pressure on her hips because her feet were hanging slightly, so I had some plates made up to raise her feet up because she is a tiny lady. this was the fix for that problem. i had the plates made from billet aluminum at a local machine shop. if anyone runs into this problem I can share the CAD drawing to have a set made. they raise the passengers feet 2 1/2 to 3" whichever you choose. as for me I am into my 4th season on this seat and it just keeps getting better, i am so pleased with it .....JB.. see the plates video here ruclips.net/video/HDYaciVE8eE/видео.html
I will. I don’t think she is having pain. I think the firmness of the seat is just so much different. I do have transformer foot pads for her if that becomes an issue. She was concerned that if she mentioned something about her not liking to see it might would change people from buying it. She thinks she just needs a little more time in the saddle.
I heard in another review that the heated option is either off or it in due time bakes your arse. Sounds like the heated seat option needs a potentiometer 🇦🇺
@crabbycrouton4925 love it ! It took some miles to break in a bit, the more I ride the more comfortable it is! Have done 2 1000 mile days so far on it and it's been great.
I just found your video of the Ultimate seat review on RUclips. I guess you did this review about a year ago. Are you still pleased with the seat? I purchased a 2012 Goldwing this year and it has a Corbin seat that is very stiff and only comfortable for a little while. I just returned from a road trip to Maine and Canada and used a seat cushion the whole time. Looking at your video it appears you may live in Greenville NC. I live just outside of Farmville. Is the seat really comfortable enough to ride 450-500 miles a day on?
A friend that talked me into to spending this much money told me that you know if a seat works when you don't think about it anymore. I can only compare to the stock seat on this bike and it is a huge improvement to me. I broke my tail bone 2 years ago and and this was the answer to my pain. My riding this year has been somewhat limited but plane to go Daytona Bike week in Oct. on the bike. I actually live in Winterville.
@@FiretuckAdventures I don’t suppose you would allow to come and look at yours and maybe sit on it before I shell out 2 grand for one would you. I sure would appreciate that a great deal.
She did like it. Mad a trip to Florida on it with no complaints. We have since sold the bike and now run a Mustang seat since they didn’t offer many options for my new bike.

I agree completely! Don’t know how much longer I could have rode on the stock seat. Bike is so much more enjoyable now.

@@FiretuckAdventures that sounds great. I’m also looking at the Corbin smuggler-pricey seats!!!
Yes they are! I had a Corbin and was not impressed. Never seemed to get comfortable even after break in. Of course this was also on a different bike.
@@FiretuckAdventures thanks very much...the ultimate is edging in for the win!

I've been looking at updating my 02's seat. Currently a heard 06 saddle. With yours set back doors your pillion have issues?
No problems. It’s just that the seat is firmer than stock. She is starting to get use to it.

Not on my bike. It already had heated seats and had the adjuster on the dash.
My offer just got accepted for one on ebay, can't wait !
How do you like it?

Well, what happened?
Trying to decide between the two seats myself.
Nice ride
Thanks!
Was wondering did your wife make a decision about the comfort of the seat

Ultimate is best.
MAYBE PURCHASE AN
AIRHAWK SEAT CUSHION , COMFORT ON THOSE LONG DISTANT RIDES AT A LOWER COST .
@treadhead I bought that first and was not impressed. It would work in a pinch but the new seat was a permanent fix.
Your helmet mic is clear.
Thanks. I use a Sena 10c pro just for audio and mix it in LumaFusion with the video.
200 miles is nothing tell me how it is after 600 miles!
I have rode it several thousand miles since the video and it’s the best seat I have ever owned.
