Damm why did they decide to ditch on Blakes party, I know parents have their differences, but the adults should have known better than to ditch an entire child party for another one. This whole episode is next level pettiness and drama. I feel bad for Blake
I think the parents weren’t really trying to hurt him, I think it was more about taking a stand against Blake’s mom since she was being petty in not inviting Jayden. It’s just sad Blake had to suffer because of his mother’s foolishness

If you think about it, it is very nice that they came to visit Jayden, but they could have done that another day. I feel so bad for Blake that he couldn’t have a birthday party with his friends.

A counseling session for the two moms and two sons would be helpful. There’s a lesson here for Jayden that might be explained to him. He would want to know perhaps that being overly competitive might affect his friendships.
Blake’s mom should have talked to Jayden’s mom and not tried to control the boys friendship in such a cruel way.
Yeah Blake was disappointed when his mom said Jayden wasn't coming.
I agree except for one part. Jayden was not being overly competitive, he was just being himself. If his friendships are affected, then the lesson is for everyone else to accept Jayden for who he is and that it is not okay to single out Jayden because of his intelligence. It is possible with maturity to be friends with someone who has increased intelligence and to be happy for their successes.
@@danielkaiser8971 I agree but it's kinda implied he's a sore winner (fist bumps/showing off his win, athough could also just be showing excitment, hard to tell in the flash back tbh), which are way worse than sore losers. A lesson on how to not brag/put others down for their win while still showing excitment/hapiness is the best option here, there are multiple ways to do this and easy to find them online. Maybe encouraging teaching the other stuff that can help (I beat you because of X, you could try y (although this isn't necessary but ik it helps a lot in situations where you're always the loosing party, you feel like you've gained something from the loss. This is what I do personally and I love when people do this but it's one of those things it depends on the people, works for some doesn't for others)
But if I'm wrong about the implication than yes, it's okay to allow friendly competition it's really good for them encourages them to try harder and learn new skills 😊
But the key word is friendly
And either way, it's for the kids to decide, not the parents. They can give advice to their kids but at the end of the day they have to decide if it's worth being friends or not

That’s just how it is in friends relationships sometimes they won’t get along. Sometimes they have arguments and get into fights but at the end of the day they’re still friends. You learn to overcome and get over it. And of course, forgive. But maybe not forget.
