Better late then never I thought at 13 years old I’d never be able to get this guitar couldn’t even afford a bag of chips at the time 😂 I’m telling you man it’s everything you expect and more, you’ll want to just play A7X stuff but it’s such a versatile guitar form jazz to death metal it does it all bro

My first ever album purchased was city of evil, I remember seeing the statement in the booklet that read Avenged Sevenfold proudly uses Schecter guitars, ever since then I always wanted one. I just got mine last week
@@jakethefate really is the best deal around for a feature packed guitar. Honestly your getting prs quality for a third less. And yes it is very versatile. I enjoy Mark Knopfler and I've been trying to pin down his technique. This guitar is delightful to look at and genuinely brings bright feelings when played or even held. When I got it I knew I was holding something special. Thanks again for the video....cheers!
I'm considering the same thing. I used to dream about these guitars and while I don't really listen to A7x that much anymore, my inner child has been screaming at me to get one. And thus here I am sitting here watching more youtube reviews of the thing 15 years later.
This guitar is a damned beast dude! Iv had mine for 5 years at this point I have the gold version and it's my go to axe for recording. My only HUGE complaint is it's a finger print and dust magnet. Other than that I love it, this guitar can play anything. Punk, jazz, metal, blues this thing can do it all
Dude it’s the best guitar man! Avenged and Synyster gates haters will say it’s corny but it does everything you need. Plus Synyster gates can play it all and it inspires you to play not just “metal” lol
No you’ll still be able to use the bridge pickup because it’s wired directly to the selector switch but From what I have noticed it does drop a little, it sounds like there’s not much output coming through but it’s not too noticeable. I’m not sure if they are all like that but mine for some reason does that.
@@jakethefate yeah bro. Mine too. Since the bridge pickup is passive, should be no difference with battery or without battery. But the gain somehow drop a littile. I thought there is something wrong with my wiring.

I got this guitar recently and this video is extremely informative on how it works which is helpful however, the screws that are on the strings right under the headstock are confusing for me. What are they for and should they be tight or loose?
found a older one with the skull logo in a pawn shop for 220 out the door.great review i also noticed the fret board is unclean able .didnt know it had binding on it lol thanks for pointing that out 🤘

Yeah dude you can find it anywhere most schecter back plates are similar so if you can get any schecter form eBay or reverb it’ll work iv done that for schecters and Jackson’s. Or you could buy planks and make your own lol those are fun to do
I've had the syn standard with the bolt on. It sounded alright for what it was. Also had the white and gold with sustainiac years ago. Looking to get the gold sunburst. I ordered and installed the new Syn buckers in an SGR, and the sound is amazing. I'd like to get his Synyster Special and mod with the new pickups
Dude I did something Similar with my schecter c-1 platinum FR-S a few years ago before I got the Synyster Gates custom-S. I ordered his new pickups from schecter and installed it in that guitar and it sounded good but there’s a huge difference in the sustaniac that comes in his guitar then the one that’s one that guitar so it was a little different but I’m sure you can adjust it so you can actually get the tone. Plus since it’s an active pickup and the one on schecter c-1 platinum-s is an EMG I had to reverse the sustaniac wiring on the circuit board for it to work
It’s something I came up with lol I come up with random stuff with my demos but I’m manly influenced by synyster gates and avenged sevenfold in all of my playing
I just ordered the black and gold version at guitar center it will be here on Monday, I’ve wanted this guitar since I was 14 and I’m 30 now😅

Oh no I was talking about the ones underneath that. But I think I figured it out. They seem to be for fine tuning, similar to cellos
