  • Fall flowers nourish migrating butterflies and resident pollinators prepping for winter diapause in our leaf litter and grasses. See when, how, and why to prune native plants in summer with Drake White, San Antonio native plant designer at The Nectar Bar. A member of the Texas Native Plant Society and a Texas Master Naturalist, she also picks a few plants you’ll want to add this fall, whether your garden is big, small, or in a container. Plus, find out when to cut back tropical milkweed!

This was a great video with so much important information. Thank you so much. I live at the end of Texas and the monarch butterflies pass through our city. I’d love to plant more milkweed for them to help in their migration. Learning a lot. Thanks.
