The format of this is infuriating. They don't distinguish between boulder and lead comps and BoulderLead comps and it makes everything super confusing. Like, at 5:15 the title says "Semifinal: Boulder round:" implying that it's BoulderLead, but then we are shown Jakob on a Boulder semifinal, and then says he's 18th after Boulder. He came 14th in boulder semis, and then came 18th in the boulder round of BL semis. They do this over and over again, they skip the best performance of Mejdi's life, as well as Jakob's lead top in Lead finals AND his amazing boulder performance in BL Finals. This was probably the greatest, most competitive comp of all time, and y'all just pasted together a bunch of random clips and tried to fit a dramatic story over top of it.
I kinda feel like this series is avoiding other name drops like ai mori, brooke rabatou, sorato and tomoa. in both previous and this episode you can hear them answering questions about people and it just cuts off while you can hear that they were about to say another name.

I noticed this and also some chopped up quotes that appear to indicate they presented them as saying something they didn't. Like at 16:29 they have Jakob Schubert saying "If you want to be called the best climber in the world you have to win (pause) the olympics". That sentence sounds like they didn't play the complete quote, that the quote there is stitched together with either something missing in between or "the olympics" was taken from a completely different part of the interview. The sentence itself doesn't sound like something Jakob would say, at least not in that way, in general.
There is probably a reason certain people are featured. Consent, their marketing team, other producing decisions, etc

Why is the editing all other the place? With the focus of the series being Olympia, why show us the non-qualifying world championship finals but not the whole combined format - which is the only one that counts? It is weird to see Jakob‘s win in the single discipline and than cut directly to the end of the combined format - which Jakob conveniently also won - but with completely different athletes next to him!
Agreed. There is something very disingenuous about the way this entire thing is edited. First episode bother me a bit, this second one really pushed it. There is a fakeness to it. Misleading and manipulative editing and presentation all to present some narrative that isn't quite the same as the reality.

duh, toby was 15 at the start of the decade
Jakob is one of the best male comp climbers of all time. Toby is an Olympic champion and still needs to do a lot more over his career to be on the Mt Rushmore with Jakob.
