Eventually, she got both dresses. After a while she asked if she could get the borrowed dress as well and they let her have it. She wore the borrowed dress for the ceremony and the new for the reception. The mum’s original dress was really nice. Now that I see it, I think they could have kept more of the original dress.

I can't get over that borrowed dress. The makeover was absolutely amazing. It was one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen and it fit her to perfection. So glad she wore it during the ceremony.

I think mom’s original dress is actually very in line with today’s bridal trends-but of course this was filmed almost ten years ago, when styles were a little different. Just goes to show how cyclical fashion is-everything comes back in style eventually!
Usually I hate the borrowed dresses. But this one was "wow". I loved it.
The something recreated is absolutely beautiful and it's one-of-a-kind custom made to the bride and it commemorates her mom and dad they're still married it's like a blessing passed down to another bride

Yes ,I started to hate the show because most of these brides are so stupid ! Sometimes ,the original borrowed dress is beautiful and doesn't need to be recreated ,other times the recreation of the borrowed dress is stunning and that's the case for this dress !
All of Kelly's custom dresses are gorgeous and can't be duplicated. These new dresses look the same after a while. I would have totally gone with her mom's. I'm happy she got to keep both!

i do wonder what they do with rejected borrowed dresses.
joyfuljaj I believe the production has it in contract that they keep the rejected borrowed dresses until after the wedding, then they give them back. This is so when sometimes they film at weddings, there will be no conflict with dresses. Brides can't choose both...have to be one or the other.
Do you know if the family pays for both dresses whether they choose the borrowed dress or not? Thx for the insight.
joyfuljaj I think they just pay for the one they want. Maybe pay for the new dress if they pick it. Then get the refashioned borrowed dress for free after the wedding is done. And if they pick the borrowed dress they just pay for that. But this is what I heard other people saying so I'm not 100% sure whether this information is correct or not.

This is the first borrowed dress that had as much finesse and pizazz , as a new one in store .. actually better than most of the dresses I have ever seen on say yes to the dress US/UK/Canada/ Ireland .... I would be loved to get it for me !!!

The borrowed dress before it was altered was nice & I loved the remade dress.
The top of the borrowed dress was nice but I didn't care for the bottom at all. Mom's original dress was more beautiful. The parents were being polite. You could see their disappointment. The new dress was elegant and lovely.

Oh i loved the bottom! And trust me, they weren't disappointed they were HUNGRY. We were the last people to film that day and because of the weird time, we were the only ones who didn't get to eat dinner.

She has amazing parents. They just let their daughter make a decision of what wedding dress she will be wearing on her big day. I find them very supportive of their daughter. I also hope to be with my parents in fitting my wedding gown in the future.

I like the original dress, it was simple and flowy. I think it would have looked better shorter and without the sleeves, but only those alterations. Maybe make it white again, but I still thought it was beautiful
I loved the original dress! I dont think they showed it, but I could barely lift my arms in it. My mom was MUCH thinner than I am when she and my dad got married.
I'm glad she got both, but I'd have wanted to walk down the aisle in the gorgeous new dress. But, she said that the old dress was so heavy. Probably too heavy to wear all night at the reception.

I have seen the borrowed dress in a different material on say yes to the dress, except the long lace is hideous, on the other show it is exactly the same design but with fabric,, these borrowed dresses are nothing like what they start out to be so it is not the right title to this show

If their facial impression is disappointment, than I have neveer seen joy! I strongly disagree with your observation. I don't think we watched the same video, really. Especially since both parents say, that the borrowed one is THE ONE repeatedly.
Pink Heart it was way too much. It was too distracting, and drew attention away from her.
