I did watch that video. It was amazing. We were scheduled to go from Banff to Vancouver on that train in Aug. But, I was diagnosed with lung cancer in June so was in the midst of chemo and radiation by Aug. done with that first round now, and leave for Rome on Nov 17. Doing Island Princess around Italy, Turkey, and Greece, then transatlantic back to FL back to back on same ship. I am READY!
"Judas Priest" dueling pianos would have been something to behold. Thanks for the first "Priest" reference I have heard in all cruise vlogs I have watched.
OMG, Barry and I feel so privileged to be included in your video. I was so excited to see you both that I couldn't resist calling you from dockside. Oh, and by the way, great video as I never miss a one.
Hi guys Born in Britain but have lived in Vancouver area for 40 years and love it. Did the same trip as you earlier this year on the same ship and absolutely loved it. Going back next year. As I have said before love your videos with the fun and humor along with great information. 👍👍
Emigrated from Manchester England when I was 18 ..Canada is my heart ( Turning 70) 🇨🇦🇨🇦 we cruised to Alaska from Vancouver..it was so cool not having to fly anywhere. I hope you love Alaska as much as we did. You are both such positive people and that’s why I love watching you both..🇨🇦🇬🇧 have the best trip ! ❤️
Oooh lovely suite - love aft suite life. That Neptune lounge looked lovely. Such a s great perk for a suite. In fact all the suite perks on Hal look amazing.
How fun to see Jill and Jerry, the Cruising Canucks! I'd love to cruise with all of you! Love seeing this ship. Awesome suite! The balcony is exquisite and so perfect to take in the Alaskan scenery!
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 ☺️ . Two very special people certainly deserve an amazing suite to enjoy during your cruise. All the food perks and bottles of bubbly, how wonderful. Your vlogs always make my smile. Your enthusiasm and love of travel is contagious. Can’t wait for the next part of the adventure . Sending the best of wishes to both of you . 😉
Thanks for the vlogs, they make my day, my hubby and I relate to you both so much, I’m the crier 😢like Carole ( in fact every time Carole would cry, I would well up) and he’s the avid sports watcher like Paul. Love from from South Carolina, USA 🇺🇸 can’t wait for the next video in the series. We are booking our first river cruise after watching your TUI adventures ❤️
Sailing on her March 2024 in Aft Neptune suite. We always get a Neptune suite since we first discovered it in 2019. Especially nice when we did a 14 Panama Canal sailing. Packed half the normal load of cloths since laundry and dry cleaning are free with suite. Safe sailings and thanks for sharing
You got screwed on that suite. The mid cabin Neptune suites are 1/3 larger in their living space. Holland America tells you that you have a larger suite but they include the wrap around balcony as part of your living space sq ftage. The mid cabin suites are much larger.
You are very smart to pick HAL. I spent 2 summers cruising Alaska back in the 1990’s working in the shops. Great musical venues and friendly staff with excellent cuisine. Hope you have a blast!
I lived on Vancouver Island and Vancouver for 30 yrs-priced out by extortionate rent. Live in Quebec City now. I don't miss summer and the forest fire season, but last year Quebec was just as bad FFS. I haven't been north of Port Hardy on the coast. I grew up in the small village of Port Alice on northern Van Isle which is shrinking. I could live there free in my mom's townhouse but I would have to be on welfare-clearly I'm not interested. The pulp mill got levelled last year.
I'm so excited to see this vlog series. 5 more weeks till we embark on the Koningsdam for 10 days! Looks like you had a lovely trip. Thanks so much for sharing.
Just got back from Nieuw Statendam in Eastern Med. My first time on HAL. Had Club Orange. Really enjoyed it. We usually sail with Oceania and Viking and HAL will now be added to my list.
Loved this video and watching U2 enjoying everything and everyone. You are both so positive and do such a wonderful job narrating the video together. It's wonderful to see a couple who truly like each other and can laugh and enjoy each other's company. Looking forward to the next one. 👍😀
Hi guys. What a fab vlog! Hubby and I are booked on a Koningsdam Alaska cruise in May ‘25, we’re so excited and I actually got a bit emotional watching this 😂. Looking forward to the rest of the series 😊 x
When we went to Tromso Norway last year they told us that the moose there had been causing problems on one of the main roads, so they rounded them all up and took them over to an island nearby and overnight they all swam back to the mainland so they gave up try to move them. We were lucky enough to see a mother and a calf when we did a driving tour of the USA and spotted them just as we were leaving the Rockies national Park in Colorado. Looking forward to the rest of the vlogs Alaska still our best cruise.
Thank you! We don't think there is a seperate Orange Dining room, it is part of the main dining room we think. Only Pinnicle class ships like Konningsdam have the seperate dining room.
Aw it looks so lovely, I`m so glad you had such a wonderful birthday. The suite is fab (already seen the suite tour vlog) and it looks as if you get some great perks. Love from Vancouver Island❤🍁
Great vlog Paul an Carole.I love your suite..up to now the food looks very nice, and the bands on board seem very good too.I've walked around Canada Place where you sailed from, but never sailed from there,as much as I'd love too,and I've rode over the Lions Gate bridge you sailed under on your departure from Canada Place..
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel Yes looked like you all had fun I watched the Canucks vlogs of the trip when they put them out, nice to see it from your perspective 😉
WOW!!! Look at that balcony!!! I took that same cruise, same ship, same itinerary. But we didn't have Neptune suite. Just a mini suite. We got the bubbles, but not THAT kind of chocolate. Just little individually wrapped squares. Hahaha. We did have a special assigned private table in the "reserved" dining room, but NOTHING like that! LOL That sail away is one of my favorites! Under the Golden gate... yah. Beautiful! (Too bad I had to fly into Vancouver to get there. Never again!!! Worst Intn'l airport EVER!) Next time I sail out of Vancouver I'll fly to Seattle and rent a car and drive to Vancouver. LOL
That’s interesting what you’ve said about Vancouver airport, we only experienced it on the way home as we came into Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer. Which by the way we highly recommend.
