    WOW! Nothing like celebrating before it’s actually completed! They also did the same thing in November with a different section of the train. All for show. Still at least two years out from total completion (including stations & and all six tracks). Great video, thanks for exploring this to save others time! Let’s go to Valladolid! ❤

    Wonderful donation, Diego! BTW, a beard does not make a man. I hear that the train has had many hiccups so far, which is a shame. It sounds a little disorganized. Thanks for taking us with you, the kinks will get ironed out eventually and then you can take us on your first train ride!

      @@MyTrishAdvisor residents is for Mexican citizens that work and live there permanently and have to use it often BUT then again since the train is not finished completely these guidelines are not strict yet, some people nationalized living permanently in Merida for instance , have accessed to this low cost rates depending on the seller criteria. There are also discounts for 60+ people but this special rates will not apply for first class seats or when the restaurant train option or the dorm train for long distances start operating , but until those trains are launched too, prices won’t be official. That’s what they have said .

    • @MyTrishAdvisor
      @MyTrishAdvisor  8 месяцев назад

      @abbagus1 @abbagus1 special tourist (the lowest price) is for students, teachers, elderly and handicap.
      Tourist Local: Is fir anyone in the 5 states the train goes that has an ID from that state. This includes Nationals and foreigners that have temp or permanent residence.
      National Tourists: ANY National Mexican outside of those 5 states.
      International tourist: Anyone only visiting Mexico with foreign identification.
      Also something that happened to us is that they ran out of the discounted spots for me in a return ticket. They only allow 30 tickets (whichs seems VERY low to me) for all 4 train cars of the 30 tourist tickets. SO if you want that price purchase ahead.

    Very interesting to see so far. it sure is in it's infancy!! I didn't think u cd take ADO anymore to Pt.M from the airport. Can u now do that?? thnx

    • @MyTrishAdvisor
      @MyTrishAdvisor  9 месяцев назад +1

      You have to take the ADO to Cancun then to PM, Same way from PM to Cancun centro then airport. Id rather that for price than the train but the train is something people will pay more for the experience but the price of ADO is pretty hard to beat especially long distance.

    • @holodeckdragon8876

    Someone needs to actually complain about the free shuttle busses. There's no need for 3 of them to sit and wait, one could take off to the airport to ensure people make their flights. It's the sole destination for that bus, why would they act like people are just going to the airport to play tourist and then come back to the train?

    • @MyTrishAdvisor
      @MyTrishAdvisor  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah it was a but confusing, honestly there is a lot to complain about but I at least wanted to give people an idea. I know they need to work the kinks out but I wouldn't take the train unless you have time and patience until they have it worked out better!

    You are providing some wrong information here. There is not "destruction of the jungle". Those tracks already existed.

    • @MyTrishAdvisor
      @MyTrishAdvisor  9 месяцев назад +3

      So let me clarify what yiu are saying....that the Mayan Train didn’t destroy any trees and animals? Is that what you are saying?

    • @humiut2041
      @humiut2041 9 месяцев назад

      The tracks in Quintana Roo did not exist, don't lie, the train only reached Valladolid and Peto in Yucatan.

  • @abbagus1
    @abbagus1 9 месяцев назад +4

    WRONG! Firstly the train was constructed over 80% already existing old railroads , they were taken out and installed new ones ( that’s why it runs slower momentarily railroads have to settle down ) and poor people living in poor homes at the sides of the old railroads were given dignified homes in the town . Highways were bettered and modified with fauna paths detecting the best sites using photomaping tech before any construction was made . The “destruction “ you mention are those cardboard homes and old railroads not trees and if some trees had to be taken they were replanted with 90% survival success. Fake environmentalists were paid by American company Vulcan who had been devastating jungle and pyramids to FOR YEARS , they took that rock and soil for construction in the US . The protection of nature ,cenotes, fauna and archeological sites were a priority and with the latest in technology cenotes and pyramids were found causing detours from the original route of the train . Never like with this project around new 500 unveiled archeological sites were found and will be shown with this project , lots of idols, tombs , statues and even a Mayan queen was found , the protection to jaguar and other animals have now zones declared protected sites where they develop freely and avoiding animal trafficking .

    • @MyTrishAdvisor
      @MyTrishAdvisor  9 месяцев назад +9

      Yes because no trees were damaged in the building of the Mayan Train. 😂 I saw the destruction being done for the last year. Just the line in our area carved out TONS of trees and killed so many animals. You literally can not argue that.

    • @evrynookncrannyMT
      @evrynookncrannyMT 9 месяцев назад +2

      Not trying to take a side here, but we live very close to the tren in Puerto Morelos and they have taken out so many trees for this project. But I think you are right, they did have a lot of great archaeological finds. So there is good and bad for sure just like any change

    • @abbagus1
      @abbagus1 9 месяцев назад +3

      @@evrynookncrannyMT yes the trees taken were replanted carefully with a 90% of survival plus there is a program where Mayan people were paid to plant 2.471 million acres in 5 years and they to take care of them. The southeast is already the 2nd largest lung after the Amazon. Zones where they were cutting trees for wood , are now reforested federal protected zones, those new highways are being constructed to add fauna paths which were determined using photomaping , some species cross over the train maya others underground, those were to protect animal trafficking and some who were constantly ran over trying to cross. Cenotes and new pyramids, such big discoveries led to new museums that are being constructed near matan train stations and there will be no echological tours to avoid commercial exploiting. Of course torva stations involved in had stolen land for resorts , as well as companies like Vulcan that have destroyed pyramids, trees and fauna to take stones for roads in the US, as well as sand for pools which gibe the turkoise tone to the water, are angry and paying corrupt associations like Greenpeace Mexico or artists to spread fakes that you buy and wrongly comment on . Many other companies countrywide , have been stopped from destroying habitats and before you do another video regarding Tulum airport, that land was an army airport donated to build the commercial one and many many acres nearby , are also federal protected echological reserve. This government opposite to those we had before is developing Mexico without damaging nature . But it’s not you , it’s all RUclipsrs that watch 2-3 news on TV, national or from the US who take the version of the Mexican fake news . It’s just math , there are more trees in Mexico than before the project. Xcaret have destroyed more for the resort even they were stopped cos they were uniting cenotes making fake constructions between them so they wouldn’t collapse , they were stopped , and they are angry too paying for fake news. Sad for them , the transformation goes on , and Claudia Sheinbaum will be a very green president. She’s a scientist .PS I know you live there I watched you with tangerine travels and some other RUclipsrs in the past .
