I graduated from Celta yesterday. Pass B, all thanks to your videos (and, of course, my effort). Thank you very much for helping us all with such wonderful material; you're an amazing tutor! Best wishes from New York, an Argentinian Certified Teacher 💖
Hi, CELTA has given me two things A great knowledge and this you tube channel.I'm so glad that i found you. Your Videos are amazing ,feels like a real life teacher sitting and training you. Before beginning any assignment , I listen to your videos and by the grace of GOD as of now haven't got any resubs . I've submitted my third assignment and working on the fourth one now. The most useful resource ever I'd say !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Jo, many thanks on some really very informative videos. I am nearly finished, with only one 60 min lesson to go. Watching this video allowed me to finish my Assignment 4 and add a few extra bits. Wish me luck :-)
fquaid Thanks for your nice feedback - I'm really pleased that you're finding my material helpful - good luck with the end of the course and your future teaching!
An extremely useful video for my final assignment (I have one more TP and this assignment to do, then I'll finish my CELTA). Thank you very much, Ms Gakonga.
Hi Jo! Thank you very much for all of your videos. I have finished my last 60 min lesson last week and my teacher John Shepheard from Greenwich Community College, London gave me S+ with a 'highly competent lesson in all areas' comment. I am now preparing for my last assignment and this video (just like all others) has been very useful for me. I am very happy with my achievements and I won't be able to achieve them without your help and advice. I am grateful to all my tutors in college too for their hard work. Cheers to all the teacher trainers for helping us be where we dream to be! Thank you very much!
Thank you for your informative Video Jo. I could notice the level of change in my tension while going through the other 3 assignments you mentioned and this one 😀.
Could you maybe do a video on what, “good teaching“ is? I am doing the WA, Lessons from the Classroom and one of the things I have to write about is what good teaching is? Any thoughts? I have my own theory from observing and self-reflection of course but wanted an opinion from some with more experience. Thank you.
Hi Kay. Hmmm. This is a hard one. Different teachers in different contexts would prioritise different things, I think. There are also lots of factors to take into account. For me, engaging your learners and motivating them is really important . Also, being able to provide a clear route through learning material and plenty of practical application. That's the back-of-an-envelope version, anyway😊
