  • How to set a cabochon in a full bezel setting.
Pretty straight forward, but often times getting that clean fully closed bezel can give the new jewelry maker quite a challenge. But fear not! It gets easier with time.
In this video, I'll cover some basic tools and techniques to help make that bezel a pushover.

    Awesome video
Is the burnisher actually remove the extra metal? I mean the last tool not the curved one

No. The burnisher imparts a polished finish by smoothing out the metal. It is similar to how a clay pot can be burnished. But it does not actually remove any metal. Very handy for polishing hard to reach areas or small parts.

Depends on the person. I prefer steel for two reasons: It has a hardness above silver and gold, but lower than most other cabs like agate, so I have to worry less about scratching an agate cab. They are also easier to re-polish and put a mirror finish on. They are also stronger. The main upside to an agate burnisher is that it holds a polish a little while longer than a steel one. But it means you have to have lapidary equipment to re-polish it if it does wear down.
