@@_a_random_person._same happened to me, I ask who I am and she says the dialogue about the Aeon l and I was surprised when after that she responses the lie in our relation, so I close the game and made the question of 1+1=2 and she says incorrect and that I wasted the question

i also like how afterwards, even if you didn't ask questions about your past, Blade tells you that the trailblazer used to work with Kafka, and how she has made many choices to protect us.
@@dis8197Blade will speak to you no matter what, the answers from Kafka wont make a difference. Kafka’s dialogue are all for giving us more bite size lore.
Just a little theory, but could it be, that the thing Elio saw about Trailblazer changing Kafka, is actually the fear of loss? At some point in the future, Kafka's affection towards the Trailblazer turns into the fear of losing the one she cares about, thus manifesting into true fear, changing her completely. That is what I have gathered from how it was shown
Basically death flag. Fear of loss with very suitable sacrifice motive. Like if in future something (like Nanook) will be able almost kill us and then she will appear even with no chance to win (yes I know it's basically Final Lesson from HI3rd, but it works)
@@dargenflame2500 yeah, from her introduction of a calm cold killer we would see her slowly feeling more emotions that she never had the chance to experience before. Basically her development would be shown directly tied to the Trailblazer's growth. Finally, after everything we've been through, she makes the ultimate sacrifice. Cliche as hell but it works
The way she looked down and looked sad before telling us the lie about how we’re connected with her is so good. It tells me that she really wants to tell us the truth but because of the rules of the game, she doesn’t want to.
@@hugomedrano4889 you're coping... her expression is exactly the same for both cases, the only difference (if you can call it that) is just the tone of her saying "hmm..." which are kinda obvious considering its a different voice recording.
She has a visual tic for all the lies. She’ll look away during a lie and keep her eyes on you when truthful. Hell knows why people don’t literally see this when the video is right in front of you
I like how kafka's eyes wander around when shes lying instead of fully locking eyes with the trailblazer like when shes telling the truth. Its a really subtle mannerism but once you observe you can clearly tell when shes lying or not. I like this attention to detail
I think Kafka is either doing this to make it obvious (on purpose) or she find it hard to lie to us because we were once a Stellaron Hunter, and she teach us about things, like a Mother to her children.
You know, from my observation all truth she says is blurred (like the connection to us Blades past and so go on), while all the lies are well-plotted and frank (like the "fact" that she is our genetical mom and Knight of beauty)
I love the fact that her lies aren’t that far interpreted to her truths. They just lack some personal wordings like in a general vague vocabularies. It doesn’t explain much but basically still the surface of the iceberg. Basically like telling “someone is sick” instead of “I have a cancer”
@@Phoenixzz12 well, taking the perspective that in Kafka's world, being a demon hunter could be considered like knights of medieval kindoms just as soldiers to nations, and Kafka being famed as one of the prettiest among them. But she never actually told us about her being Demon Hunter in this line so it could be just a narcisstic lie
@@narukamishirou284Actually, we do know of a planet where there are knights who hunt devils; it's described in the Knight of Purity Palace relic set, which is about a devil, Safina, who was raised to become a knight. The Church that commanded the knights coveted the power of the Aeons in order to punish devils, but when they got it they were driven mad by it. Safina stood against the mad Knights and Church, but she found herself blamed for the Church's downfall as a result. Thus, she fled to the Land of Devils. Now, I don't know if Kafka is from this planet, but there is one character I'm pretty sure is from there: Luocha, who mentions "the devils, the church, the insanity..." when thinking of his homeworld.
tbh there's some truths in the lies, it's not a complete lie and not a complete truth, that's why our character doesn't know if she's lying or not. In one of the questions she said something different at first but really similar wording after when telling a truth or a lie, so we could say it's a half lie half truth, that's why it's so difficult to know what's true or not. The only way for us to differentiate it is from her eye movement, she looks away for a second while telling the part that is a lie( or maybe it's in reverse, who knows!)
@@cassandrawasright1481Kafka is from Pteruges-V though, it says so in her character bio. Or is that the planet you mentioned? It does say „wanted by the devils of Pteruges-V“
Only when answering the question about her connection with MC, she looked solemn and really think how to answer us. And when she lied to us, she hardly look at our eyes, while she's actually a good liar because she'd straightly lied through her teeth to Yanqing just to protect us. That means how much it showed that she's unwilling to lie to us or maybe she want us to notice that she's lying. And when you answered her questions, she actually always knew whether you're lying or telling the truth. For examples when you choose (truth) "I like you" she really seems happy and when you choose to (lie) "I like you" her expression just so sad to the point it hurted me too ngl. I noticed that since the first time we met Kafka, she strangely hold some affections towards us while SW and Blade couldn't careless about us. While I always doubt whether her affection is genuine or part of her trying manipulating us to make us believe so, somehow Blade last cutscene make me think that she rly think us dearly.
@@arnowisp6244 Think he meant at the beginning. Obviously, if you pulled for the character, they consider the MC a friend, but lore within the context of the story so far, SW probably isn't that close to the MC.
I answered "(Lie) I don't really care about you." and she still made a sad puppy face though. The second answer was "(Truth) I want to see you again." and she smiled. I guess she's just playing us by pretending to treat all our answers as truth.
So to recap: Caleus/Stelle was created by Elio to house a Stellaron and was then passed on to Kafka, who trained them and was essentially a "parental figure" to them, when the time for the infiltration of the space station came, the mc's memories fot wiped. Blade was Dang Heng's "friend" until he got mara struck and forgot who he was, he then got taught the sword and got tortured until the stellaron hunters rescued him. Kafka comes from a planet that was corrupted by a stellaron because of that they can't feel fear, leading to some of the people there becoming devils, which are beings that Kafka hunted. Eventually Elio promised that if she helped him, she would be able to feel fear. She accepted and joined the stellaron hunters.
Micro add-on, that the destinies of Kafka and trailblazer are connected, they will change each other. Which is most likely meant in the context of Kafka's main goal. Thanks to the trailblazer, Kafka will find feelings. Whatever it means in the end, a tragedy or a happy ending, any way
I accidentally chose "i don't want to see that woman" because i thought it was my "lie" option. But instead, my trailblazer's inner dialogue was like "nope, i dont wanna see this woman again," and i had to lie that i wanted to see her if i meant to abide by the rules. She seemed to see right through me and got disappointed. It broke my heart. Poor kafka. I actually like her.

she's beating the deadbeat mom allegations. Actually quite touching how she realized the empty space inside herself was actually something she did not want, and is now fighting to better herself. Her in-game profile show people of her planet have no such qualms about exhibiting their sociopathic tendencies. I thought she would just be a full blown villain but they're going the morally grey area and I enjoy it a lot. Fighting against one's nature is no easy task.
Probably the most interesting take on dialogue options so far. I genuinely like how our choices really matter (for the information importantly) and whatever we picked affects what kind of info that Kafka will give us in terms of either truths or lies. It would’ve been cool if we can go back to see other dialogue options. Especially to players who jokingly ended her quest. My condolences to those players.
I'm proud that I skipped her entire quest. Especially since the achievement you get is named "true free will" instead of "free will". I think there might be some lore reasons for this.
@@alikazemi730 Maybe because this whole segment with Kafka encapsulates the Stellaron Hunters' ideology. She mentions that their comrades would have rescued them out of the Xianzhou anyway if TB didn't help, so while it converges into a future of Kafka & Blade leaving regardless of your choice, TB refusing to associate with this incident might be symbolic for their mission of planting TB in the Astral Express with a reinvented identity away from the Stellaron Hunters. So the term "true free will" could be a sign of success to Elios' script. Though this all just my guesswork, and it could be completely off 😂
It's funny, both questions I asked were about her and I actually thought she told the truth both times and even still kind of do because technically she didn't LIE to the second question; If the truth is "I can't feel fear, I want Elio to help me fix this" and the 'lie' is "I want Elio to show me what I have to do to get the future I want" those are kind of the same just some omission of detail in the latter.
@@ch.7785That depends on how much information is required, when that is not set, it is not a break of contract and thus not a lie. These are called half thruths. They are still defined as positive things. A bit shady.. But positive... Just like her...

By law, you'll prob get evaluated as lying if you omit details, but conceptually, you didn't say anything but the truth, even if it's ambiguous or vague. If it's actually considered lying for a game like this is subjective, isn't it?
@@ch.7785 True, technically the only reason that it isn't a lie specifically when she says it to me is because I happen to already know the omitted information, but she doesn't realize that. And I do intend on sticking around with her however long it takes to learn all her truths 💜
when she's telling lies she looks away from mc (looks to the left, right, at the floor) whereas when she's telling the truth, she stares right at the mc's eyes
The most interesting part of all of this is that Kafka is the only character we ever talk face to face to here and when she's a prisoner, we don't get PoV conversation scenes with anyone else
@@arnowisp6244I got the same feeling, maybe they will kill her with something that relates to us (Like turning evil like Kiana/got controlled or possessed, or in danger, who knows?) . Then, she dies but she got what she wants Edit: Since a certain white hair person doesn't show up yet, I think Kafka will have Himeko's fate. Usually, the white hair person associated with Himeko got her killed
When you realized she hesitates only when talking about us, whether its a lie or truth shes contemplates a lot when it comes to us and that tells a lot ❤
The name of the quest can also be translated as a “Letter from an Unknown woman”. Which is Stefan Zweig’s novel. And they had something in common. This woman knows us for a long time and we don’t even remember her. I just hope we will remember her before it gets too late as in a novel 😭 (I wouldn’t be surprised if Hoyo really referenced that book, they really do that a lot in hsr and everything about Kafka, her name, her love for classics tell us that the reference might be true too)
Of u choose third option "what is my connection to you?" , Her answer is that the trailblazer is genetically her kid cause we were partially made from her genetic data. Though i forgot if the part "partially" is accurate cause i cant remember it well. But i think her answer on that was a lie cause my second question to her was answered truthfully about her being unable to feel fear.
I like the question "Is destiny predetermined?" and I'm glad the true answer was "No". During the quest, Kafka mentioned a lot about u cannot change destiny, i.e. we still have to fight with Yanqing. But before that, we can also choose to break the robot and close the gate to avoid some fighting, which somehow disrupted Kafka's predictions. My interpretation is that Kafka believes the MC is able to change the destiny, and that simple answer tells a lot about her true self. It's a great quest for me, it answers to many questions while letting us know more about mommy Kafka.
Out of this, I can only figure out one thing: If the truth is that she raised us, that Elio promised her a way to feel fear and that we are in each other's fate; we have a fate to reach, but that fate may include bad things for us, Kafka sees us as her own child, therefore, she will not be afraid of herself, but for us, she will fear for us, as we are beloved ones to her, fear for what may happen to us, maybe she will refuse to accept our fate, eventually sacrificing herself so we could live or be well (just like Himeko did once).
She didn't "raise" the Trailblanzer. She "mentored" him/her. There's a colossal difference between raising someone and mentoring/teaching them. People are so eager to push the adoptive parent narrative that they just ignore what is actually being said. She was a mentor to the Trailblazer. The only time when Kafka refered to the Trailblazer as her child is when she lied.
This quest has been to most interesting companion quest ever compared to the others where it either some hijinks with character or some added backstory for character, but in this one the lies and truths game is unique to each player, sure they could search it up later but a player’s first experience of this quest will be unique to them and I find that very cool
The correct answers from Kafka in the Truth or Lie game. SPOILER Edit:Lies are added, they are inside () Q:Who am I? A:You are an artificial body created for the purpose of hosting a Stellaron. From the moment of your birth, it was your destiny to receive the Stellaron at Herta Space Station. Before that task was completed, I was responsible for protecting you, as well as teaching you general knowledge, common sense, and combat skills. The reason why you don't remember is that I wiped your memory before the operation at Herta Space Station. (You?...At first, you were a being at accidentally created by an Aeon, with a body but no soul. Elio guided me to you, and you were given a soul. That's nothing to say about your past. You only remember me because I was the one with you when your soul was born. That's all there is to it) Q:How am I able to host a Stellaron? A:Because you are created for that purpose - your body has been transformed by the power of an Aeon. You are immune to Stellaron contamination. Therefore, you could say that you are a one-of-a-kind Stellaron vessel (The Stellaron in question was modified. After seizing it, Herta conducted a lot of research - it's the only Stellaron in the universe that doesn't contaminate human. As soon as Herta got bored, she forgot about the whole thing, but all her research was recorded in Screwllum's database. Silver Wolf retrieved it when she hacked into planet Screwllum... And so Elio saw a new future possibility) Q:What is my connection to you? A:...One day, Elio handed you over to me. He said that things continue to transpire according to future possibilities he foresaw, you could eventually change me, and I would change you. In other words, you and I are each other's destiny (...Genetically speaking, you are my child. A quarter of the data that makes up your body comes from me. Of course, neither Silver Wolf, Bladie, nor Sam are well-suited for looking after a child... So the burden of mentoring you fell on me. It was a stressful job, I dumped you on the train as soon as I got a chance.) Q:Who is Blade? A:I don't know, Bladie didn't tell me - he said he doesn't know either. When he woke up, he didn't remember anything. Sometime later, a woman found him. She taught him swordplay, then killed him, over and over again, until it was too much for him to bear. Elio ordered Sam and me to find Bladie and return with him. According to Elio, Bladie's swordplay and immortality have important uses. That's all I know. (He is a long-life species, apparently he was a Sword Champion of the Xianzhou at some point. The Ten Lord Commission planned to execute him, but he managed to escape from Shackling Prison. He was severely injured - he forgot nearly everything. Elio ordered Sam and me to find Bladie and return with him. According to Elio, Bladie's swordplay and immortality have important uses. That's all I know.) Q:What is the connection between Blade and Dan Heng? A:Apparently, they used to be good friends... Well, good friends who were bad for each other. Bladie forgot nearly everything, so he doesn't remember it well Together, they did something bad - something terrible. It led to horrific consequences. That's the information I managed to piece together. Bladie refused to tell me the details. (Master and disciple, Bladie said that in Dan Heng's previous life, Dan Heng was his apprentice. Long time ago, several of Blade's apprentices joined forces to kill him. After his revival, Bladie had forgotten nearly everything, but he remember the night his apprentices killed him. He've been searching for the whole universe for those who took his life ...to make them pay in blood) Q:Who are you? A:The old me? I used to be a Devil Hunter. I grew up on a planet contaminated by Stellaron:Pteruges V - "The New Babylon".Humans there don't know what fear is - the concept itself simply doesn't exist. When people don't feel fear, they are dominated by desire and pleasure - they become "devils".When Elio found me, I was in a middle of a mission... and the condition he offered me caught my interest (The old me? I used to be a Knight of Beauty. We worshipped Idrila, the Aeon of Beauty. We vowed to guard their beauty with the sword, but one day they suddenly disappeared. I lost my faith and recruited by Elio... that's how I join the Stellaron Hunters.) Q:Why did you join the Stellaron Hunters? A:Because I wanted to change myself. I have no mechanism for "fear". There is an empty space in my mind and my heart, but I am unable to perceive it. Changing that part of myself isn't something I can do alone. Elio can help me, if I follow his instructions. (Because I have the future that I want. As I told you, Elio is able to glimpse through possibilities. As ling as I follow the instructions, he promised to tell me what it would take to move towards the future I want) Q:Is fate pre-determined? A:...No. (...Yes.)
@@mirabaeonly No, literally face to face. In other dialogs, we see the trailblazer talking to the character. Kafka is the only one to have some dialogs that seems she's talking directly to us
@@mirabaeonlyIt's simple. Usually whenever a dialogue or conversation occurs, it's usually on Third Person Perspective, whilst our conversation with Kafka is First Person Perspective. From my first run, she lied about who am I, and she told me the truth about her reason for joining the Stellaron Hunters. I'm no expert in telling between a truth and a lie, but I felt that her reason was so genuine. I mean, why would Kafka lie about changing herself?
@@recentmap7268 Yeah, but it's interesting that you get to determine which answers are the truth or the lie, since we were put in a cliffhanger about Kafka's intentions and her connections to us before her companion mission.
At the End of the quest, Blade said that we have actually worked with them in the past, maybe he's talking about the time when Kafka still teaches the Trailblazer how to fight. That means the Trailblazer was once IN the Stellaron Hunters, until they became a vessel of one and Kafka erase their memories
I love how when she tells a lie, she always look around and prevent eye contact, and when she's telling the truth, she look into our eyes with sincerity. This is not that obvious from Stelle (or Caelus) perspective because from her memory, she only met with Kafka several times since her awakening. But Kafka actually care so much about Stelle (or Caelus) cuz she actually have spent some time with her and take good care of her. But when Kafka clears Stelle's memory of Kafka, this memories are only retained by Kafka. For Kafka, it's kinda hard to lie to Stelle because she cares for her
Aside from her telling "half truths" on her lies to make it seem more believable; it's actually interesting how her body language changes throughout all of this. A lot of her earlier lies has her breaking eye contact, or perhaps showing a bit of emotion/or being sad when you're pushing towards questions that involve the MC and her. But as the game continues, she kinda gets used to how you press on her for questions, and her demeanor hops back to who she normally is. _The one thing she can't do however is maintain eye contact_ whenever she's lying, or if her half lies require severe fabrication, she tends to always break eye contact; and or pair it with some kind of gesture/emotion to help "sell" the facade further. The only time where she can lie AND maintain eye contact for the most part is when the half truth is more like 75% truthful, vs something like 10% truth, 90% lies (like the one where she lies about being a Knight) Kinda neat to see that even Kafka has these "flaws" on her otherwise "flawless" demeanors, just adds to the character more
I didn't notice that! But Its a bit weird, lack of eye contact is one of the most well known ways to tell a lie, right? Not to take away from your point but, I can't help but wonder if that "flaw" is just her doing that on purpose, to help us out on figure what's the truth or a lie, to guide us into what she wants. since it's hard to believe someone who has so much control over things, has such a fatal flaw when lying (which is important for manipulation) But it either way it still adds to her character, her still being in control/ manipulating even in the smaller details, or as you said having "flaws" in her "flawless demeanor"
@@conductoranon2805 it's actually completely worthless for catching a lie on a broad scale, liars are as likely to break eye contact as to intently maintain it. At the end of the day you need to learn individual tells for any sort of accuracy.
We already know that trailblazer know kafka in the past and because of what blade said when kafka was gone he said “You once followed kafka didn't you? There was a time she's was on a mission you were next to her. If i remember” we didn't expect that part that we might be part of stellaron hunter

It was so painful for me to find out that she wasn't our mother. 😭 I wonder if children feel this when they find out that their parents are not their own.
She is still "Mommy Kafka", Trailblazer may not share blood with her, but she did raised Stelle/Caelus, and you know: "Mother is not the one who gives birth, that would make her only the progenitor, Mother is the one who raises and looks over the child".
@@phamminhtunguyen9926 It was a partial lie. From the start of the game you can see that some of Kafka's paramemters were submitted to create Trailblazer, so technically they have a bit of similarity in DNA with Kafka. The lie part is she dumped Trailblazer on the first appeared attempt because it was too much of a hassle. From her interactions with MC you can see that if she is not worrying about him/her, she is at least cherishing Trailblazer a lot
Seeing this, I realized that I mirrored the truths and lies with Kafka in my choices. She answered truthfully, I answered truthfully, then she lied, and I lied. And that's when also thinking of the fact that by answering first, Kafka cannot mirror our answers. So even if she can tell if we're being truthful or not, she cannot respond to it, having already answered. The choices lay in our hands.
I noticed some subtle changes in Kafka when she talks about you which can actually help to discern if its true or lie. When Kafka tells you a lie she says it in a harmful way. In "Who am I" she denies your memories of her saying you only remember her because she was there when you was born, this has contradictions because since the beginning when Kafka awakes you she was clearly bothered that she had no much time to talk to you, also Blade at the end says you were always alongside her; In "What is my connection to you" she again tells you she dumped you because you were a bother to her which is again contradictory to her previous actions, leaving you with the Astral crew, saying she was relieved you fit there, coming to Xianzhou just to force you to forge connections with the loufu so you could receive his help later on, etc. Compare to when she says the truth she always says it in a neutral tone, the same for the words, never implies you are a bother or other things. Is like, her best way to lie is to actually try to harm you, I suppose she says it on purpuse because the MC can discern this subtle changes
Now although we didn’t get her as a mom, she is still our “destiny”. Oh man, I see this as a win win imo. Oh, and I’m pretty sure her design and a bit of her personality was inspired by Makima, except Kafka actually has nuclear thunder thighs and SSR “Relics”… Also she reminds me a bit of Savathun except it’s 2 truths, 2 lies…
So basically she's your adoptive mother who more or less raised you. And as blade said afterwards, she looked out for you and made a lot of choices to protect you. Maybe it was for her own interests, or maybe she truly feels connected to the MC. Curious indeed.
4:07 you can tell that she's lying here because she wont look into our eyes, maybe because she doesn't want to lie about our connection to her while looking at us and because she feel guilty and sad that she abandoned and wiped our memory..
My favorite detail to glean from this is that the trailblazer and Kafka have a shared destiny, and that it is made very obvious that being genetically related is a lie. Yes the reason why I like that is degenerate. Sue me. Kafka's hot as hell, and you can't change that.
I don't know why people are so intent on Kafka being the Trailblazer's actual mom when the game seems to be pushing for a TB x Kafka ship. Nothing degenerate about that.
Something can be said for both sides. The story both shows Kafka as a motherly figure that taught us how to do everything we know, and as a potential love interest. Mixed signals on a whole another level. Aaaand I simply do not care which is the main intent and will still want to be sandwiched by Kafka, Himeko and Natasha.
It kinda stood out to me in the mission when we mention the Aeon of Nihility and she automatically assumed we thought she was being negative. The whole concept of nihilism is nothingness, with nothing there is no negativity or positivity. When she talks about her planet only being that of desires and no fear, I find that paradoxical. Like without light, there is no darkness and without darkness, there is no light. Really what her planet is, is a planet ruled by nihilism, but she doesn’t realize and associates nihilism with negativity because she truly believes her planet was a happy one.
I think its to show that her actions and beliefs are not totally aligned in many cases, she believes Elio but doesnt believe in predestination, she clearly does morally reprehensible things, but does have some moral compass in so far as those things are supposed to lead to something better.
You know, looking at this, I remembered the poster of the web event "Kafka and the Godfather" and then I thought: "Was that a hint back then?" It's just that before this mission, because of the leaked information, I really thought that she was our biological mother. But the game showed that this was not true. Most likely, they showed that she was an adoptive mother or godmother. Are you savvy? The Godmother(Honkai Star Rail) and the Godfather(real film). It feels like Mihoyo knew that we were feeding on false information (Kafka is our biological mother) and hinted at the truth (Kafka is our godmother) under our noses.
The first answer makes me wonder, if in the future MC obtained a path where they use a sword-possibly the Hunt MC-will we see some similarities between MC's sword skills and Kafka's sword skills? I mean, it will make sense if that's the case since as Kafka mentioned, they're the one that trained MC in combat skills. Maybe MC also learned how to use guns from Kafka so if we ever get a path where MC use a gun, they might also have some similarities. In any case, it's really easy to see the lies from the truth. When she's lying, the things she says just doesn't sound reliable. Sometimes she passes it off as a "by chance" or she straight up tells something that's clearly a lie. But when she's telling the truth she gives a lot of info.
The bit about being a devil hunter from Pteruges V incapable of fear has to be canon. Every in-universe source and even out of universe marketing and voice actress interviews describe her backstory in that way. From there, it's pretty easy to surmise that Elio gave her the offer to change her status of being incapable of fear, and that she was eventually assigned a pre-amnesia Trailblazer to accomplish this destiny. LIkewise, Blade's musing after this game can be used to cross-reference Kafka's responses, since Blade has no reason to be playing truth and lies.
I feel like part of what makes the trailblazer struggle to see if she's lying is she throws in some truth. Like the stelleron thing. Obviously they wouldn't know that it was safe for humans because how would Herta know that? But i could see the part about how they found out about it being truthful.
@@thunderspark1536 I was saying that the chore part was definitely a lie. If there's truth it could be the genetic part, since we know the truth is that the MC was created. So if there's parts that she's throwing in half truths to make it harder?
@@TyIsreal Indeed. It's possible we did have certain abilities gained from the hunters, having blade's immortality and resistance to damage, some form of silver wolf's reality manipulation, kafka's ability to manipulate others to follow you, and whatever sam has would be very useful in containing the stelleron.
feels like i'm the only one that refused to help Kafka, therefore skiping the entire companion mission and jumping straight to recieving the rewards xD
The third answer really makes me realize that the MC is the perfect stellaron hunter. Immune to stellaron corruption and can probably contain more. Feels like an elaborate hiest from Elio and we are in on it. But are we really? Who knows?
You know, "One day Elio handed you over to me and said that one day I would change you, and you would change me." I have a feeling, just a feeling. What is the change Kafka wants. She wants to be able to know fear. What are we like, helpful, kind and always quick to resolve issues. Hardly something that would inspire fear. But now, lets say. *WE* change, or rather, Kafka makes it so that we change, perhaps by killing someone close to us, or something akin to it. We'd grow bitter, angry. Something that could inspire fear. Just a thought. Also, you all are wayyyyyyy too down bad for Kafka, like the 90% of you that are anyway. Also also, blade sitting there in the back just staring into space made me chuckle.
did you forget about the fear of losing a love/close one? there a chance in the future when we get close enough, kafka like any human will develop a emotional bond to us and fear she will losing us someday
@@eyepatchxx That seems most likely given how she dotes on us, if all she had to do was feel fear from someone being mad at her, she would have probably felt it before.
about the "about myself", both are practically truths. the second one about them being genetically related is true, and them being each other's destiny is kinda true if you consider the lore
They aren't genetically related, Kafka just raised the Trailblazer, although, she's still "mommy Kafka", because, you know, "mother is not the one who gives birth, she's just the progenitor, mother is the one who raises and looks over the child".
Darn! During the time I'm doing this, that room behind kafka wasn't lookinh like that. All I see is the open window and nothing to see inside, just gray. I NEVER KNEW BLADE IS LITERALLY THERE SITTING😭. there's just a dialogue box when you come closer and when you click it, it will say something about blade that he is there. I only saw blade in cut scene but not inside that room. Wth with graphic setting in mobile😂. This never happened to me in genshin even my settings is lowest.
So not exactly our real mother but a mentor instead. I like that too. But when she teach you basic knowledge, combat skills, how to defend yourself that's pretty much what a parents do. She's all of those
Teacher does not equal mother, also, there is barely 5 years between us and Kafka, she is not a parental figure to us, where is this coming from. She is a mommy character, not a mom one.
I think a more trusted option is that trailblazer is Aeon creation and more likely Akivili, this is supported by Herta's simulations where other Aeons believe that trailblazer is the one of their kind. Elio most likely just finds a trailblazer somewhere, if he's capable of creating a trailblazer he would make a couple of them to resolve the stellaron crisis around the universe faster. I don't want to believe that Akivili has survived but lost all powers and memories and was forced to enter the mortal shell which is a trailblazer. I don't remember and maybe it was just my assumption, but i think i heard from one of the characters that the trailblazer belongs to the train, and this supports the theory of trailblazer being an Akivili creation.
It's interesting how Natasha didn't notice anything off with TB when they were brought to the underworld clinic for the first time, considering TB has an artificial body. TB was also affected by Sampo's smoke and parts of their body can also hurt (in one of Natasha's text messages, you can tell her that your foot hurts). Maybe TB was created/transformed by the Aeon in such a way that they would still be believable as a 'real' human, being able to feel pain and emotions.
@@pearlofivrisNatasha is still just a normal doctor. If the Trailblazers body really is artificial and made by a genius or just advanced technology in general she wouldn’t find anything regardless
Thanks for making this video. I didn't have the patience to and waited for someone to do it. I altf4'd for the first few ones but then got bored and just went on with whatever.
Hmm I did "why did you join the stellaron hunters" first then "who are you" second. She told the lie first and truth second. Its interesting out of all the lies, that one isn't really a lie and more a half truth. She DOES have a future she wants, and Elio's instructions are how to reach it. She just omitted what that future is, that is she wants to feel fear
Even though she didn't birth us, she worries so much about us it gives off the parental figure vibes. We know we followed her before being made into a vessel to hold the Stellaron, but it was never said how old were we or where were we from. Since it is implied that she literally taught us everything we know, and that this was before she joined the Stellaron Hunters, I'm gonna assume that we were born in Pteruges-V as well. Which makes a lot of sense because TB doesn't really feel fear, maybe shocked at certain events, but really isn't afraid of anything. Even when death is near they joke about it saying "I'm too young to die" but it's mostly sarcasm to tease M7. But back to the point, she says her mission was to teach us general knowledge, common sense and combat skills. She is 100% a mentor we had in the past, that is undeniable. And since we are an artificial body then we don't really have ANY parent at all. But there's no reason as to why she cannot be our platonic/adoptive/foster mother. She is written in a way that she feels like a mother figure, even the TB responses can give us that vibe that they know Kafka is important to us. A lot of the answers are even of concern asking her if she's alright, if she's hurt, etc. So there might be a possibility, we don't know yet and we might not have a definitive answer until maybe 3 years from now, who knows.
I genuinely dont understand why people would want her to be our parental figure. For one, since we were created, she didnt raise us, its incredibly unlikely we were created as a child and been taken around for missions, we were likely created as we are now and simply lacked skills, she tought us, she was a mentor, doesnt make her a parental figure. I also dont get the parental vibes at all, if anything, being each others destiny is the opposite, her being said or happy about us wanting to see her again etc., can be interpreted the same way. Its clear that she has attachment to us, which is clearly rare for her and most likely her fear will base around us in the future, but in no way does it mean the attachment cant be romantic rather than parental, she isnt even nearly old enough to be anywhere near the age to be our mother, at worst she is around 5 years older, but likely even less than that. She is decidedly a mommy character, not a mom one.
And if u disagree on helping her at all then you’ll get the achievement “True Free Will” kinda ironic when u help her and get the achievement “Free Will”
I am a bit underwhelmed that we don't learn more about blade and dan heng, i get they probably want to save it for when he comes out, but i would love to at least get a teaser for their relationship, i can figure out that "oh they used to be friends, they did something bad, and then they weren't friends" i don't need the game to tell me that, i can piece out narrative nuances myself.

That is what I have gathered from how it was shown
thats actually a pretty good theory, i like it
thats exactly what i thought
Basically death flag. Fear of loss with very suitable sacrifice motive. Like if in future something (like Nanook) will be able almost kill us and then she will appear even with no chance to win (yes I know it's basically Final Lesson from HI3rd, but it works)
Himeko and Kafka flags *higher*
@@dargenflame2500 yeah, from her introduction of a calm cold killer we would see her slowly feeling more emotions that she never had the chance to experience before. The way she looked down and looked sad before telling us the lie about how we’re connected with her is so good. It tells me that she really wants to tell us the truth but because of the rules of the game, she doesn’t want to.

I answered "(Lie) I don't really care about you." and she still made a sad puppy face though. The second answer was "(Truth) I want to see you again." and she smiled. I guess she's just playing us by pretending to treat all our answers as truth.
So to recap:
Caleus/Stelle was created by Elio to house a Stellaron and was then passed on to Kafka, who trained them and was essentially a "parental figure" to them, when the time for the infiltration of the space station came, the mc's memories fot wiped.

Screw True free will. Kafka better than that shite.

But i think her answer on that was a lie cause my second question to her was answered truthfully about her being unable to feel fear.
I love how important kafka is for the lore, even in the future. We actually learned so much from this short quest.
Out of this, I can only figure out one thing:
If the truth is that she raised us, that Elio promised her a way to feel fear and that we are in each other's fate; we have a fate to reach, but that fate may include bad things for us, Kafka sees us as her own child, therefore, she will not be afraid of herself, but for us, she will fear for us, as we are beloved ones to her, fear for what may happen to us, maybe she will refuse to accept our fate, eventually sacrificing herself so we could live or be well (just like Himeko did once).

Q:Who am I?
That's all there is to it)
Q:How am I able to host a Stellaron?
A:Because you are created for that purpose - your body has been transformed by the power of an Aeon. You are immune to Stellaron contamination. Therefore, you could say that you are a one-of-a-kind Stellaron vessel
(The Stellaron in question was modified. And so Elio saw a new future possibility)
Q:What is my connection to you?
A:...One day, Elio handed you over to me. He said that things continue to transpire according to future possibilities he foresaw, you could eventually change me, and I would change you. In other words, you and I are each other's destiny
(...Genetically speaking, you are my child. A quarter of the data that makes up your body comes from me. Of course, neither Silver Wolf, Bladie, nor Sam are well-suited for looking after a child... So the burden of mentoring you fell on me. It was a stressful job, I dumped you on the train as soon as I got a chance.)
Q:Who is Blade?

Bladie forgot nearly everything, so he doesn't remember it well Together, they did something bad - something terrible. It led to horrific consequences. That's the information I managed to piece together. Bladie refused to tell me the details.

Q:Who are you?
A:The old me? I used to be a Devil Hunter. I grew up on a planet contaminated by Stellaron:Pteruges V - "The New Babylon".Humans there don't know what fear is - the concept itself simply doesn't exist. When people don't feel fear, they are dominated by desire and pleasure - they become "devils".When Elio found me, I was in a middle of a mission... and the condition he offered me caught my interest
(The old me? I used to be a Knight of Beauty. We worshipped Idrila, the Aeon of Beauty. We vowed to guard their beauty with the sword, but one day they suddenly disappeared. I lost my faith and recruited by Elio... that's how I join the Stellaron Hunters.)
Q:Why did you join the Stellaron Hunters?
A:Because I wanted to change myself. I have no mechanism for "fear". There is an empty space in my mind and my heart, but I am unable to perceive it. Changing that part of myself isn't something I can do alone. Elio can help me, if I follow his instructions.
(Because I have the future that I want. As I told you, Elio is able to glimpse through possibilities. As ling as I follow the instructions, he promised to tell me what it would take to move towards the future I want)

At the End of the quest, Blade said that we have actually worked with them in the past, maybe he's talking about the time when Kafka still teaches the Trailblazer how to fight. That means the Trailblazer was once IN the Stellaron Hunters, until they became a vessel of one and Kafka erase their memories
I really needed this video, I was torturing myself trying to know wich one was the truth and wich the lie.
Mommy Kafka bonding with her Child.
For Kafka, it's kinda hard to lie to Stelle because she cares for her
old her used to be a devil hunter... UR NOT SLICK MAKIMA
Its confirmed she's makima's twin
Zoomer
The only time where she can lie AND maintain eye contact for the most part is when the half truth is more like 75% truthful, vs something like 10% truth, 90% lies (like the one where she lies about being a Knight)
Kinda neat to see that even Kafka has these "flaws" on her otherwise "flawless" demeanors, just adds to the character more
I didn't notice that! But Its a bit weird, lack of eye contact is one of the most well known ways to tell a lie, right?
Not to take away from your point but, I can't help but wonder if that "flaw" is just her doing that on purpose, to help us out on figure what's the truth or a lie, to guide us into what she wants. since it's hard to believe someone who has so much control over things, has such a fatal flaw when lying (which is important for manipulation)
But it either way it still adds to her character, her still being in control/ manipulating even in the smaller details, or as you said having "flaws" in her "flawless demeanor"
@@conductoranon2805 it's actually completely worthless for catching a lie on a broad scale, liars are as likely to break eye contact as to intently maintain it. At the end of the day you need to learn individual tells for any sort of accuracy.

It's lore time fellasssssss Ty for the video i'm a sucker of "story telling" like this XD
So you're telling me, that it was Kafka that taught us to open every trashcan we see?
Now although we didn’t get her as a mom, she is still our “destiny”. Oh man, I see this as a win win imo. Oh, and I’m pretty sure her design and a bit of her personality was inspired by Makima, except Kafka actually has nuclear thunder thighs and SSR “Relics”… Also she reminds me a bit of Savathun except it’s 2 truths, 2 lies…

Kafka would always look to the side whenever she lie to us as if spouting random stuff on the spot

Genetically or not, still my beloved mom 😢
Come to the train already, join the trailblaze family 😭
You know, looking at this, I remembered the poster of the web event "Kafka and the Godfather" and then I thought: "Was that a hint back then?"
It's just that before this mission, because of the leaked information, I really thought that she was our biological mother.
I thought she would stop me from just walking away from her 😭
I got the Jades, but at what cost..?
But when she's telling the truth she gives a lot of info.
that's a cool idea ngl
Blade in the background
Thanks for the video! I was looking for the answers to know if she was lying to me haha
now that I notice it, whenever she lies her eyes move away from us and she moves her head awkwardly. Liars often avoid eye contact
I noticed how when Kafka lies her eyes start darting away from the trailblazer. While when she tells the truth she usually holds eye contact.
I feel like part of what makes the trailblazer struggle to see if she's lying is she throws in some truth. Like the stelleron thing. Obviously they wouldn't know that it was safe for humans because how would Herta know that? But i could see the part about how they found out about it being truthful.
Even the genetic one. That part could be true but the dumped them on the train part could be the lie.

I figured she was lying about that shit, now a bunch people are going to go around spreading false information.
There was a hint about trailblazer being an artificial body in hertas art theres all the herta dolls and one is holding trailblazer dolls

Thanks for your video! Because I refuse her mission I didn't know what happened to Kafka
Finally a video that has all of them, people keep on believing in lies lol now is good
Even though she didn't birth us, she worries so much about us it gives off the parental figure vibes.
She really just said she was devil hunter 💀
