lovely video TJ, great to see how far you have come from sailing around Ireland in your 24 footer, to the Jester challenge and now the Scilly Isles, well done
Visited the Scillys a few years ago but defo didn't see as much as you guy's. The islands were covered in fog for most or our stay. Nice to see it in sunshine.
Hi Reinier, Yes i think the Mirage is a VERY good boat. Holland i have good memories from my bike racing days their "Drachten" Drag strip. Lets hope we all get back to normal soon
Great video again, TJ! What a trip! Scillys are awesome. You weren't joking about that bagpiper. Noise! And you nicely downplayed the roughness of the seas on the way home. The last 6 hours were rough! :-) But it was worth it! And that's one smart pigeon... hitched a ride home!
lol Cheers David, can't make it look to bad or i wont be let out to play with you anymore. ya that Pigeon had a grand sail home but when i evicted him he headed back out to sea, i think he started in Ireland, i am guessing he cursed me all the way to France
The piper kind of gave the game away where they were from, no incognito travellers there, hope he wasn't an early riser. I do like the pipes, the Gael played by the military band very good. You had good fortune with the weather there and a good strong breeze to blow you home too. I've not been ashore on St Martins, the bilge keel boat a winner there. I went for St Helen's pool first time I was there but it was a long row to the shore for two people in a 6ft grp dinghy so I bottled out.
it was your advice i took to go to St Helens pool THANKS. the piper was at sundown so not a bad thing, we are hoping to go back aging this year to see some more of the islands, great spot when the weather is good. i was jelous of Davids abilty to dry out with the bilge keeler and walk ashore "dont tell him" lol🤣😂😁
