Thanks - I used these drills for my U8's and worked great!
These are the kind of exercises you need to keep it fun. Love the video. Very clear and crisp explanations of the different drills. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Thanks so much! Hope they've been helpful!
I’m so happy 😃 happy 😊 enjoy 😊 stay blessed 🥹 stay blessed 🥹 stay blessed 🥹 happy 😊 happy 😊 enjoy 😊 I will always
First time coach, never played... Excited to put these to use as they're different from drills coaches have used in the past for my kids. Great video!!
I am coaching U8's for the first time this year and I tend to agree with many comments. This is way above most of my player's skill level and honestly should be for more U10-12's. Some of my U8's can't even dribble or pass, so this is WAY beyond them!
Great. Thank you...
great, thanks.....
Well done 👏
love it
Brilliant
Some really great ideas here, my only concern is that none of them involve a goalie. My U8 team needs a rotating keeper, so no one is specialized. They all need to get practice in net or we'll ship a ton of goals when actually playing! 😂 Just my own two cents..
I see how this could work with U10 and up, not U8. These kids don’t know to come up with strategies and game plans yet.
I think your right these kids don't even look under 8 😂😂
That's why you give them these drills - to nudge them to develop that skill. You'd be surprised how crafty young ones can be when given a reason.
Agree with Mike. In the beginning it will look messy, but you’ll see big progress very fast. Those little ones pick up new exercises and drills at an insane pace.
thank you, this is surely not for U8 😂
100% agree, these rules are much too advanced, basic skill level much too high for U8s, remembering under 8s range from 6 to 7 for the most part.
I’ve used te fox tail games worked and band aid
The fact you are showing teenagers perform these drills demonstrates that these are way too advanced for u8
Hey James! While we didn't film every drill in our library (100+ drills) with every age group that a drill is applicable to, doesn't mean it's not recommended for U8 age groups. In fact, all of our recommendations are from experts at United Soccer Coaches, US Youth Soccer, and, for our FC Barcelona drills, FC Barcelona youth development experts. And none of the players in any video we have created are teenagers - we promise!
At the end of the day, you're the coach and you know your team best, so if these are too advanced for your team, you can check out our full library in the MOJO app. It's free: get.mojo.sport/youtube
they're really not, I've done them with u7s.
These are U10 drills and some U12.
Hey Amanda! While we didn't film every drill in our library (100+ drills!) with every age group, we use experts from United Soccer Coaches, MLS, US Youth Soccer, and FC Barcelona to determine what age groups a drill is applicable for. At the end of the day -- you know your team best so if some of these are too advanced that's OK! There are more drills for free in the MOJO app that you can try, too.
Also -- in the MOJO app for each drill we provide details on what is likely to go right and wrong with different age groups doing each drill, as well as how to make it easier. The app is free to use with your team: get.mojo.sport/youtube
They say U8, but these kids are easily at least 10

Kids don't play Stratego anymore
My kids sure do! Love that game!
I don't see how its like Stratego at all.
these are not 8U players

What is the time frame to get these drills working so that progress is happening? Are we taking 2 to 3 sessions or more like 10-15, I'm guessing the latter. My kids are good but red light - green light is a struggle at times...
This would never work with U8's smh
Why not?
I've got some young kids, but these seem fun enough for the young kids to help them learn naturally.
@@KramaKrame23 because they aren't trained they are tired and they don't want to listen hahah
@@FIDIP26 that sounds like a coach that has poor behaviour management…
I coach my son’s U8 soccer team and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the kids focused during the first drill they talked about. I managed to get 13 kids to focus and work as a team.
And this is why we suck at soccer (football). You think they're running these drills with their U8 in Europe? No, they are not.
We are.
Under 8 drills yet using 14 year olds to showcase it ?
